Trying New Things With the Art Of It -- Wicca's Wardrobe, *TuttiFruitti* and Glam Dreams From Peace On Earth Hunt 7 - POE

One of the ways I learn as I go is by watching what other people are doing with their artistry and trying to figure out how to emulate. Last night, I had the worst insomniac's night but in the extra time, and due to the time being late, I got to visit with people I rarely see. I saw one of Alice Tartaglia's recent pictures and I asked her "How did you do that?" She thoughtfully offered a number of ideas and pointers, things she'd tried, and then off I went with my crayons and a head full of new ideas.

These two photos are what I came up with... I had the same concept in my head, but two different portrayals. Ultimately, I like the darker one far better, because in the darkness lay our greatest fears, our looming sense of past failures, and perhaps our motivation to do better with our now, to overcome those things we think sometimes we cannot overcome.

I wore a collection of items from various new events to style for these photos and I really liked how items from the Peace On Earth Hunt, designed by different artists, worked together. The print on the sweater and the smaller pale print on the leggings were almost identical.

Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous -- Featuring Evolve, Glam Dreams and Banger Islands

Every so often, a show comes on television that celebrates someone rich and famous, fantasy or reality, it really doesn't mind. The ideas entice us to dream, and think of those worlds that feel so far out of reach. I don't know if everyone comes into this world with the yearning for such a life, but many of us seem enamored with it.

When we play hard in our Second Life, we have the opportunity to grasp those fantasy worlds, pretend to be rich or famous, and in some cases, become rich and famous. I remember Ansche Chung's first million making national news, and it was a million US Dollars! out of Second Life.

I think it would be incredibly difficult in this age of Second Life to repeat such a success, but there are still dreams. Meanwhile, we really do have the chance to visit stunning worlds of fantasy and wearing glamorous clothing; fantastic gowns and gems, pants suits and fun clothes we might otherwise never wear in our lives off line.

Even when I dress it down, look around, and the world around me makes you go ooh... ahh... and more. A casual tube top fits closely and enhances that sculpted body. She (me?) must work out often to have those curves and the flat tummy. Maybe there's a secret plastic surgeon down the lane that keeps everyone's secrets in this lifestyle.

If I were truly a part of this strata of people in my world off line, I would pour my effort and time into the lives of those who were not as fortunate. People all around this great world struggle, with health issues beyond our imagination, lack of food, lack of shelter, worn out, used up and forgotten. I would make sure someone remembered them.

I know it's unlikely I will attain this lifestyle. That's alright. I feel rich and rewarded simply by having family and friends. Wealth comes in many forms, and though it would be wonderful to have no financial conflicts, the ability to buy everything including hot looks, I would honestly rate those things of the heart far above those things bought and paid for in any world.

I can play at anything I want to play in Second Life. Famous or flirtatious. Playful or playgirl. There's a little something for everyone. I enjoy the dreams. I even enjoy those shows I mentioned that let us glimpse that world out of my reach. I focus on those things of no monetary value and personally know that focus would be the same if I did have a huge bank account. I feel whole only when I pour out of myself and into other's lives. I can do that in any lifestyle, at any financial strata. We all can.

Glad To Know Glam Dreams Remains! Featuring Glam Dreams

In March, one of the most exciting things I've done as a model occurred. I was permitted to walk in the Model's Workshop Spring Show.

   

 I got to wear designers that I had never known, House of Elliot and Glam Dreams, and a familiar Snowpaws. Being introduced to Glam Dreams was a dream. Everything shown in that show was elegant and sexy. I oohed and ahhhed at the various looks friends got to wear and thrilled at the gown I was given.

    

 Now I find myself embracing the privilege of working with Glam Dreams once more, this time as a blogger. I saw notes go out early in the week two weeks ago that suggested Glam Dreams was closing its doors. I was disappointed!

    

Thankfully, I spoke to one of the store managers who is also a good friend and I learned that only the main location has closed and satellite stores still offer this same beautiful quality that I'd discovered in March. This Butterflies Gown reminds me of why I enjoyed Glam Dreams so much and how much I look forward to new looks as they are revealed.
