Do You Ever Take Things for Granted? -- Featuring Zanze and Face Paint

We probably all do sometimes; take someone or something for granted. And the odd thing is, to notice that thing or that person, to acknowledge their value, it doesn't take so much energy or time. A simple word or phrase makes all the difference.

I read a lot of blogs and subscribe to some vlogs as well. It's neat to hear some of them speaking but I've always put a lot of focus on reading so my favorite always will be the written word. Tonight, I read a blog called "50 Things Nurses Won't Tell You". One said, "A simple thank you makes all the difference. I chose to be a nurse. I knew the days would be long and the tasks could be uncomfortable at times. I still like to hear 'thank you' from my patients or their families. It helps motivate me when things are the most difficult.

Maybe you have someone in your world who needs to hear that what they do or say or how they touch your life has value. I think on a very simple level, a fashion blogger in Second Life has the joy of sharing the vastly creative designers' skills in a public and personal way. It's one way to acknowledge them. It's not complicated though. People just like to know they matter and what they do matters to someone else.

When I have the privilege of wearing Zzoie's creations at Zanze or Eve's creations from Face Paint, I celebrate the chance. I probably don't tell them thank you often enough.

FROSTING, Something New, Fotoscope, Pomposity, Image Essentials, ezura, and Bangarang at EOTW

I cannot help myself with this selection of items from the End of the World Fair. I find my thoughts are cheeky but they do suit the mood of the theme.

So saying that, I'm showcasing the giant star from Fotoscope over my shoulder hurtling at the earth at an incredible speed or is it the star of We Three Kings? Maybe I'm confusing the 21 with the 25!

The dire warning sign from Something New should be heeded by all, just look at how the cookie... I mean the earth crumbles. Oh dear.

Pomposity provided the Flying Saucer ring. Beam me up Scottie. Scottie?... oh... SCOTTIEEEE... I thought this ring was a communicator. Oomph

The goggles and wool hat from ezura should help protect and keep me warm in case of some sort of fall out, as long as it's not one of those wardrobe malfunction fall outs, I'm good.

And the sweater collection from Bangarang included this "It's a Buffalo" sweater, and though I have no idea what it had to do with the world ending, it did make me think of "Man on a Buffalo" on YouTube. If you haven't seen those, look them up; guaranteed to crack you up

Dot-Be Fashion "Menswear" The Alessio Suit

There are far fewer designers for menswear in Second Life and even fewer who really have an eye for art and content creation. Dot-Be Fashion works well with both items generally conceived to be worn by the female gender and likewise, items generally conceived by the male gender.

I like to style items that might be considered 'masculine' by nature, and put my own twist on things to showcase the element of design as well as capturing the androgynous runway designs currently a hit in fashion shows around the world. The basic three pieces are well calculated mesh so that when you layer one on top of the other, you don't see a flicker or blank space between items. Attention to detail is one of many reasons Dot-Be Fashion earned a terrific reputation in the fashion industry.
