KL Couture and Kyxe Skins & Shapes plus CASHMERE&KEANE, IMaGE Factory, K-CODE, Pure Poison, {{BSD}}, and Rook Hold from J&A Expo

Another way to look at it... would have been the title of this blog except that there are so many new items and special things from my sponsors that I couldn't fit a title!

The items from this Jewelry and Accessory Expo are sooo diverse. Today I have on a beautiful wonderful and quite unusual hat, there are boots, a ring, and a knuckle ring too, and then there's my little friend!

The Kendra dress from KL Couture had such personality that it needed some spice to accessorize. With all these different accessories, I found just the spice I wanted.

I have a couple of pair of ankle boots but if you've followed my blog, you know how much I LOVE boots so when I saw these, I fell in love again again.

I found a striking pose that ended up with fur in my face and my paint and hood, and yet it felt like it spoke volumes wordlessly.

It's easy to daydream when styling. I see visions of all sorts of life, and worlds I'd never visit except in my imagination.

I continue to thank all the sponsors of the J&A Expo. It will open for shoppers 12.6.2013, very soon!!

One other detail to share... Kyxe Skins & Shapes opens a new location at the 4Seasons Mall on Saturday, and there will be a party, presents, and fun to be had by all. It will revolutionize the way you shop for skins and makeup (and even help you with shopping in your world off line!!).

4 Calling Birds? -- Featuring Crie Style, Image Factory, XH, MG, Son!a, In-Pose!, .::Shellac

In my little part of the world, the Southern US - South Carolina, or maybe when I was younger, influenced by people and thoughts that were more Northern, I learned the 12 Days of Christmas with the 4 Calling Birds as day four.

I had never heard of this species of bird, however, and never really paused to figure out what exactly a calling bird was. Needless to say, I was glad to find out it had nothing to do with euphemisms for things children shouldn't know!

It made me think of other things we say, things we've heard and just repeat, and how sometimes we might be repeating something uncouth or unkind and not even know it. I think that may be even more true when we share with people all over the world.

A calling bird doesn't really exist, I learned. It's an Americanization of the word 'COLLY' bird. And a colly bird doesn't have any special significance. They fly abundantly in flocks, and in the US, they're simply called black birds.

I really wasn't thinking of being a colly bird when I put this outfit together but as I talk about the children's song and the bird, and look at this unique little dress from In-Pose! I see a resemblance. And yes, I said In-Pose. Ms. Trinity Graves offers clothing as well as terrific poses now!

I used my shorter avi for this pose series and ended up taking more photos than I ever take. I just felt the fun in the moment and had one of those shutterbug moments. I love digital photography on here as well as off line, as we can take so many photos and find the best later without so much expense for film!

It's interesting, looking into the origin of words. Interesting to me anyway. I love the interaction with so many people in Second Life that I can hear phrases and word choices I never knew. I love the chance to work with designers who have great ideas, new ideas, fun ideas, and people who just enjoy life.

Nya's, Image Factory, Pure Poison, BSD Designs, and SD Wears at EOTW

Though I've been playfully tongue in cheek with the End of the World Fair, I put together several photographs that contain a more serious focus, as the outfits have been crafted for fun, comfort and beauty and do not seem particularly theme in orientation.

Everything worn in the outfit on the far left comes from the same designer in an all encompassing look from Nya's. I added the cosmetics, nails and hair, and the rest is their design. Boots with warm cozy fur around the calf, thick winter leggins to tuck into the boots and wear under the ruffled short skirt. My favorite part of this look is the layered top/jacket/scarf. It fits the season perfectly and is stylishly done.

The second look comes from Image Factory, the sweater/dress as well as the jewelry accompanying it. There are several color options for the sweater, and I really appreciated the woolen looking texture created for the dress. The one drawback for me was the cut of the neck revealed part of both nipples with the Glam Affair skin I use. I could swap out skins so it didn't show, but it's something to be aware of when making this choice to purchase.

And if you want to talk about exposure, the last look, on the far right, really has a double dose. The Pure Poison tube dress in black has been creatively orchestrated so that you see a LOT of skin, but at least on my skin, you cannot see the private parts above or below. I chose to pull a shawl from BSD Designs to cover my shoulders and wrap round the front to make the look slightly more demure. I then added stockings from SD Wears to tuck into my boots. Though a great deal of skin shows and this look could be right chilly this time of year, I think with the accessories added, sexy can be accomplished vava voom, and not so cold that my teeth will chatter. ~smiles~
