Ella and Ella - Beloved Jewelry - 12 Days Event

Fairs and sales and hunts abound in the world of Second Life. The 12 Days Event encompasses both the fair and the hunt theme. You'll find exclusive pieces from designers, hunt items, and all sorts of fun.

From Ella and Ella, this pretty almost golden print and matching boots work well with holiday themes, yet you can wear this dress for months after Christmas, depending on how you style. Play with the basics and make it you!

The ruby and gold jewelry from Beloved Jewelry looked as if it had been crafted to go with the dress. Colors of white and red drip from two gold earrings, and more red and white and gold encircles the throat in a regal looking necklace.

Find the  12 Days Event - Hunt - Flawless Sim here. Have fun and enjoy your holidays.

Baboom: Walkin` in a Winter Wonderland

From the moment I saw this gown, Sephira by Baboom! I knew there'd be multiple options for styling.

And with all the pieces included with the gown, I had several ideas immediately. This time, my excitement increased when I asked a friend for her insight and what ideas the gown sparked for her. Together, we worked on finding unique accessories, a location and layout. I had such a great time putting all of this together. Baboom and the clothing I get to wear from there always brings a smile. This time I shared my Baboom experience with a friend and we had fun!

The gown has a fluff of fur over each shoulder that is optional. Also there are flexi skirt options. I kept the fur and saved the flexi pieces for another occasion. Jewelry also comes as an option for styling the dress, and I saved those for another time as well. I wanted to use something lighter toned for an outdoor winter wonderland shot, so the darker pearl pieces included by the gown's designer will work wonderfully well indoors for a ball or some other gallant party.

Liv-Glam: Carven Knit Dress (SP1)

If I could pull a few designs now and then straight out of the computer and somehow they'd rez in this world, I'd do it and I'd take this recent release from Liv-Glam.

This sweater dress comes with a loose fitting cowl neck and then a skin hugging knit that falls just above mid thigh and has long knit sleeves as well to keep you cozy. I paired with one of the Stella boots and added a hand bag in one case, and now I'm ready to do more shopping. Oh dear... do I have enough jingling change in that big bag?

Rockoil: Confine

The designer Lethe Scar always pushes me to the edge of my comfort zone with dramatic style.

This outfit has been designed to look like there are a number of leather and latex belts wrapped around the body from head to toe with skull images on various belts. You do not end up revealing anything directly when 'bound' in this outfit, but it does flirt with the whole realm of naughty bedroom behavior.

Star's Fashion: Hypnotic Elegance and Beautiful Night

Two relatively new releases from Stars Fashion tout a dark and edgy vibe. Both are sexy, and in that color that's eternally the most popular color that fashion designers use year round... black, black and more black.

I've heard people say, "Pink in the new black." I've heard all the colors of the rainbow in place of pink in that sentence as well when I read fashion rags like Vanity Fair and Vogue. The crux of the matter, however, BLACK is the true black, old, new and timeless. Both of these outfits from Stars Fashion show how diversely a designer may use black to create their look. Stars Fashion has two mini skirt outfits with textures and accessories that make them similar yet individual in their artistic expression.

Poems in the Mists, Houses and Furniture and Elegance by Elysa at Midweek Madness

I didn't pull any outfits from the Midweek Madness program this week because the one that caught my eye has already been blogged for Dot-Be Fashion several weeks ago, Elena Yellow. If you want to see what it looks like, I encourage you to scroll back through my archives. It's definitely a deal on Midweek Madness.

The first item comes from Poems in the Mist that makes items perfect for Gorean role-play. I happened to have a gown by Arwen that was designed for this role-play so I threw it on and sat down for a chilly evening meal at my new picnic table. This item runs on sale this week for Midweek Madness and you can find it here: Poems in the Mist SLURL

The Elves by Houses and Furniture found here: Houses and Furniture SLURL reminded me that there really are not many days now till Christmas arrives. This time next week, we'll be hopeful that elves are on our roof tops helping the biggest elf of all pass out toys to all of us who've been good this year. I 'tried' to be good. Does that count?

Snow globes have the magical ability to bring a special world to you. No matter where you live, in the desert or in the middle of the rain forest, with a snow globe in your hand, you can imagine for just a few minutes that you've been magically transported to a new land. Both the snow globe and the elves have sounds and other scripts added for extra fun. You can find the snow globe here: Elegance by Elysa SLURL

SD Wears at EOTW

In the title of this outfit, "Hot Topic: Black Pattern Outfit" was a chord of resonance that brought a smile to my face. This black outfit from SD Wears tweaked a personal note in the best of ways.

In the city where I raised my two teen sons, the hottest place to shop if you were permitted was a place called Hot Topic. They carried edgy designs, rebellious written on tee-shirts that appealed to that age, wild gauges for the growing hole in the average teen's earlobe and so much more. I went often with my guys, and though there were many things I did not allow, a few treasures were found there and they were always 'thankyouthankyouthankyouiloveitiloveitiloveit'...

This outfit from SD Wears has the same aesthetic, a bit of dark resolve, a touch of rebellion and a fierceness that would suit Tyra on America's Next Top Model. A mixture of printed solids and shear textures combined with some sculpted shoulder pieces added to the aggressive beauty of the overall look.

Raynzone at the EOTW

Raynzone only recently appeared as a new blip on the giant radar of Second Life designers. I've had a chance to speak to her one on one and wear some of her other clothing prior to this fair and I think she'll find a solid niche in the world of fashion.

This dress, called Natalie, with a pair of shoes matching and called the same, came with two options. One was a solid lace and the other was the shear shown in the photo. As I added each bit of lace, the top, the gloves, the skirt, I felt more and more like a walking snowflake. I look forward to seeing more from this designer in 2013 and enjoyed working with her designs once more.

Nya's, Image Factory, Pure Poison, BSD Designs, and SD Wears at EOTW

Though I've been playfully tongue in cheek with the End of the World Fair, I put together several photographs that contain a more serious focus, as the outfits have been crafted for fun, comfort and beauty and do not seem particularly theme in orientation.

Everything worn in the outfit on the far left comes from the same designer in an all encompassing look from Nya's. I added the cosmetics, nails and hair, and the rest is their design. Boots with warm cozy fur around the calf, thick winter leggins to tuck into the boots and wear under the ruffled short skirt. My favorite part of this look is the layered top/jacket/scarf. It fits the season perfectly and is stylishly done.

The second look comes from Image Factory, the sweater/dress as well as the jewelry accompanying it. There are several color options for the sweater, and I really appreciated the woolen looking texture created for the dress. The one drawback for me was the cut of the neck revealed part of both nipples with the Glam Affair skin I use. I could swap out skins so it didn't show, but it's something to be aware of when making this choice to purchase.

And if you want to talk about exposure, the last look, on the far right, really has a double dose. The Pure Poison tube dress in black has been creatively orchestrated so that you see a LOT of skin, but at least on my skin, you cannot see the private parts above or below. I chose to pull a shawl from BSD Designs to cover my shoulders and wrap round the front to make the look slightly more demure. I then added stockings from SD Wears to tuck into my boots. Though a great deal of skin shows and this look could be right chilly this time of year, I think with the accessories added, sexy can be accomplished vava voom, and not so cold that my teeth will chatter. ~smiles~

New "Curiosity" Brand at Liv-Glam

It came as no surprise to me that Liv-Glam's staff expanded this week to include a jewelry designer. The verve that Samantha puts into building the Liv-Glam brand literally breathes life in what may at first seem like a pixelated fantasy. Just as Stella and a new shoe designer joined Liv-Glam about two months ago, now a jewelry maker has as well.

As I've gotten to know Samantha, I've been more and more able to see her vision through her eyes and art. One thing I've noted regularly has been the styling she uses to accent her clothing creations, eye catching bags, and bold jewelry. This Vintage Heirloom speaks silently this very essence of what seems to be Sam's vision for what it is to be a glamorous lady in Second Life. The earrings and necklace come with a HUD that permits you to change the stones in a wide array of color; it's a very versatile piece. Look for more from Curiosity in the coming year!

Far Concepts, Crazed Companies Home Decor, Kaerri, Dreamstar Dezignz at EOTW

I enjoy working with a variety of designers beyond just the clothing/fashion industry because the worlds overlap and techniques that make one arena new or fresh might impact the other if we all keep an open mind. This post combines an outfit offered in the End of the World Fair and a combination of designers who added other types of items to this event.

Far Concepts Waverleigh Credenza taught me a new word. I knew that a credenza was a piece of furniture but I didn't know what it was. It's a 'sideboard or cupboard.' When I saw this Credenza and looked at the images on Google, I found this design in world more interesting in it's trapezoid shape and array of cubbyholes and drawers. The company that offered the Credenza also offered another piece of furniture and a whole room depending on what you choose to purchase.

There were three different orchids in the display from Crazed Companies and I liked the white one in the pink vase. I knew that orchids were thought to bring good luck and after a bit of research I learned that orchids are thought to bring the energy of untainted symmetry, good for you and your home.

Kaerri offered another living room set, with a variety of furniture from sofa to table and chair. I chose the painting of the set to display because it was an intriguing print that reminded me of Picasso during his cubism period. Maybe it is a Picasso.

I wore the outfit designed by Dreamstar Dezignz, a pretty shear cloth covers decently yet decadently finding that perfect balance between the two. Everyone in Second Life wears black some of the time. I think it's the unofficial uniform color for our shared virtual world. This black cross between a catsuit and lingerie accents the sexy in you.

Emotions: Some New Styles

Emotions has been in all my photos from 18 September to present, but sometimes when you see it all the time, it's hard to tell when something is new. These are some of the new styles that came out this weekend:

I really enjoyed this one called Cayenne. It has a seductive edge to it without being complicated. oooh la la

I've been playing with graphic artistry to get different looks with different techniques. This great hair from Emotions, called Gloria, comes with two equal ponytails, a great jeweled headpiece holding the ponytails in place and simply exudes drama.

Barefoot and Bombproof, Simpro Lamp from EOTW + Danielle and Emotions New Releases

This article might seem mild compared to the last two, but so much of the time I write with a serious bent on making sure I share the clothing or items with a professional and gentle word. Once in a while though, everyone lets their hair down, and in this case, one of Emotions new releases from this weekend, Gloria, makes its first appearance, and it's definitely letting my hair downnnn as long ponytails drape to my hips!

The other item that is not from the fair comes from Danielle. I went to her fashion show about two weeks ago and fell in love with EVERYTHING she sells. I received a beautiful small parcel from her this week, and they were these stunning Christmas earrings. What a treat!

From the End of the World, this lamp by Simpro has been built to sustain high winds, brilliant lights as stars fall from the sky and oh so many other special things. It could be a street lamp or an indoor lamp depending on your sense of style or needs.

The dress from Barefoot and Bombproof will help you remember the festivities of the end of 2012, regardless if it's the last year we'll ever be here or not. It's brilliant red hue makes it perfect for holiday parties.

FROSTING, Something New, Fotoscope, Pomposity, Image Essentials, ezura, and Bangarang at EOTW

I cannot help myself with this selection of items from the End of the World Fair. I find my thoughts are cheeky but they do suit the mood of the theme.

So saying that, I'm showcasing the giant star from Fotoscope over my shoulder hurtling at the earth at an incredible speed or is it the star of We Three Kings? Maybe I'm confusing the 21 with the 25!

The dire warning sign from Something New should be heeded by all, just look at how the cookie... I mean the earth crumbles. Oh dear.

Pomposity provided the Flying Saucer ring. Beam me up Scottie. Scottie?... oh... SCOTTIEEEE... I thought this ring was a communicator. Oomph

The goggles and wool hat from ezura should help protect and keep me warm in case of some sort of fall out, as long as it's not one of those wardrobe malfunction fall outs, I'm good.

And the sweater collection from Bangarang included this "It's a Buffalo" sweater, and though I have no idea what it had to do with the world ending, it did make me think of "Man on a Buffalo" on YouTube. If you haven't seen those, look them up; guaranteed to crack you up

Deeleys, .Anatomy., Badazzle and Cute Poison at the EOTW

Several businesses collaborated together to create this fantastic themed idea of the End of the World based on all the hype about the world ending on December 21. Tongue in cheek, some of the designs then are as cute as a kitten and silly, but we all need to have a little fun, and as the sign below from Deeley's says, "Give Peas a Chance."

I think I'm the most stylishly prepared gal for the world's end, but if you gotta go, go out in style, right? My gas mask from .Anatomy. actually comes in several color options, so I could be incredibly en vogue and wear the right color match any old day I might need a gas mask.

I'm fairly sure the necklace from Cute Poison holds magical powers and I'll be able to ward off the evil lurking around every corner with this necklace, and like the gas mask, I found it also came in several colors so I could be magical and stylin!

And if those stompin boots don't help me in some fashion, at least they're fashionable, right? The whole outfit has been pulled together by Badazzle and with this design, I'm ready for whatever 21 December throws my way.

Two New Releases from Liv-Glam

Grab them while they're hot. Liv-Glam has put together a whole array of sales and new releases. Here are two examples of what's in the store now,  just calling your name...

I really found structure to be the key ingredient in this newest design. The Voyage Couture dress makes me think of the amazing clothes it seems people buy before they holiday abroad, not that I've ever been so lucky but I do watch movies. I loved this dress. It's such a non-verbal statement!

I'm a huge fan of Game of Thrones, a show on HBO. One of the key characters in the series is a woman who earns the title of Khaleesi. This hair style matches hers so closely. I was immediately in love with this particular style.

The jewelry here by Artistry by ~E~ is not a new release, but it is new to me, and when she released it, it was part of a campaign to raise awareness and finances for Brain Cancer. I wanted to post it as a 'featured' item because these charitable campaigns and needs associated with them never stop.

This dress also looks like it should be packed in my satchel for travel. It's warm and sunny somewhere, and this dress has that spark that makes the world come alive in vivid colors. There's a tank type jacket over the dress, giving you options for styling. A walk along the promenade perhaps? Take the little jacket along. Sea air is cool at night!

Face Paint continues the 12 Days of Christmas countdown (on day 4 now as I write) with special treats of all kinds, and not just make-up. The Face Paint Holly is a make-up that's released as one of the 12 days.

Emotions does an incredible job of making a wide array of styles for all sorts of in world fun. The one I have on in the second photo, Cayenne, drapes easily over the shoulder and frames the face seductively.

Two of the Sexiest Releases Yet from Liv-Glam

I've been playing around with glitter this holiday, just to see if I could come up with something that resembled body glitter seen in fancy celebrations off line. In the process, I was thinking, I really need the right dress to show this idea to the masses, and then I saw this weekend's sale items from Liv-Glam.

Then I tried on several of the gowns that had similarly cut backs and so much revealed, and I knew it was perfect to display the glitter, and oh my gracious sexy. There are several versions of the Feminite Dress on the right and several versions of the dress on the left as well. The one shown in the picture, gold with black embellishment, has two options in gold or silver and is called the Kokorico. If you look around the store, you'll also see several different colors and designs of another full length dress called Jador that looks very similar. Awesome texture, and a whole lot of silky soft skin shows.

Face Paint Glamour and Emotions Christmas Angel

You find the generous heart of many this time of year on line and in your world off line. It's a time for sharing. For me, I'd rather have the most amazing relationships and no material objects. I'm blessed to have those relationships and hopefully I convey that emotion in word and photo in my blogs.

Up close and personal, you can see the wide dramatic eyes with a soft grey and brown puff of shadow and those lips, so kissable and sweet. They look like candy meant to be plundered.

Ah... brilliance. I wear Emotions dark brown 95% of the time. However, special times call for special deviations from my norm. The release that came out today from Emotions, Christmas Angel (and a special gift for men only as well) celebrates the season.

Glamour will be free one of the 12 Days of Face Paint's Christmas and Emotions Christmas Angel is available today through Christmas, also free.
