Liv-Glam, the K-Collection, Curiosity, Stella and ~Shadow Moon~

There are so many new things just pouring from the Liv-Glam collaborative efforts. Not only are there new releases from Liv-Glam, you find jewelry from Curiosity (FuLo) and a quirky fun casual array of new items from the K-Collection.

The Roulier Barbie all over print dress  put me in the mood to purr like this classic car's engine. Skin and more skin teases the eye with the sexy cut of this dress.

Basia earrings from Curiosity (FuLo) and dangled from my ears, artistically repeating the silver circle of the hubcaps. With the muted pinks and purples snugly hugging around my hips and echoed in my boots and jewelry, I felt ready to paint the town pink. I wonder if they'd notice!

Some of the most interesting heels came out this week from the Stella line at Liv-Glam They are color-change heels with a studded anklet that's almost two inches wide with fringe like one might find on a cowboy's suede jacket. Since the fringe is long enough to cover most of the foot, it offers the illusion of a boot. The K-Collection Gio Outfit blazes bold colors on the top and pairs with a simple classic cut trouser.

~Shadow Moon~ offered me a blogger package this week that contained elements meant for Valentine's Day. What amused me the most was the dark humor included. The table and chair with traditional hearts accentuate what I would normally associate with this holiday. However, the grey tree in the background, the Dead Tree, delivers the anti-Valentine. Several poses are built into the tree. I chose the gardening pose you see here and avoided the noose option. I have so many goals I have yet to accomplished. I'm not quite ready to cross the river Styx.

A sweet thanks to Kay Weston who owns Image Essentials. She helped adjust the props for the first set of photos so that my tall avi fit. It's a great sim with many prop and pose possibilities and great people to help.

Liv-Glam and EMO-tions New releases

What's the best experience I've had in Second Life? I have been reflecting on this as another year begins and I look back to my own beginning in March of 2005. So many things have changed. Each change brought ups and downs, and sweet and sour, and all the diversity life offers in our worlds off line. After all we're in a microcosm of life in this world, even if some of us are unspellable creatures from the planet Kragnon or tinier than the average beetle.

This delicious mini comes from the Fashion Limited, a location where several designers show their very best in exclusive items and items sold in limited numbers. The bra like top reminds me of Madonna and the print is so innocent. It's the perfect blend of soft and hard.

With this view, you can see how short the dress is, and the cute and playful print is seen at another angle as well. I paired it with both shoes and jewelry from Liv-Glam designers.

When you zoom in closer, you can see the long straight locks of one of this week's new releases from EMO-tions. This one is called Legend. With all the new colors added to EMO-tions hair this year, you'll find one that suits you best.

New from the House of Eliot, Exclusive Liv-Glam at Designer Showcase, EMO-tions and Chop Zuey

I've had the most thrilling week this week in Second Life despite some overwhelming challenges off line. I know that we often say 'real life comes first' but sometimes the real life that has to come first is just ick. I love the dichotomy of two worlds, one online and one off. I like when both are in harmony and if one gets out of balance, it's tough to get everything important back in balance.

EMO-tions released four different hair choices with an Oriental theme. This Yuki is the third out of four that I've shown you. If only my hair would look like this again off line, but in my case, I began growing silver hair at 24 and it's been getting more and more so over the years.

The fourth of EMO-tions Oriental looks is Suri, shown above with the purple gown. It's one of those messy styles with twists and braids and chop sticks holding it together that takes hours to look this good. Messy is more difficult than a perfect coif.

I met Virlay this week while I was exploring her new store, The House of Eliot. She had a free gown out called the Gypsy gown and since I'd never tried any of her designs, a free gift item was a good way to go. You'll see one of the clever gifts given in the 12 days of Christmas countdown from Chop Zuey paired with this look, the Venetian Honey Set.

While I was there, she showed me some new items she had yet to put out for sale including a massive number of colored beads/pearls and stunningly crafted eyes. I know with her success on the runway and her reputation earned through hard work, she'll have a great customer base and competitive items for sale in a market that makes fame and fortune a challenge for anyone.

I write the blog for Liv-Glam, something relevant for every single item released from furniture to skins to jewelry to clothing. I pick a few of the items to bring into my blog here because I love styling as much as I love writing about well designed art. This Munier Jacket dress definitely shows the classy talent of Liv-Glam designers.

And at the moment, this particular item is available at the Designer Showcase. There are 6 items from Liv-Glam designers at the Designer Showcase in all, 3 that are Liv-Glam and 3 that are from the new designer K-Collection. It's an array of beauty at a price you'll find easily affordable.

Stars Fashion, Liv-Glam's Curiosity and Image Essentials

Once in a while, I receive a blogger pack from Stars Fashion, and always there are a wide variety of styles to choose from and I try to post at least one new look from them after I look at the options.

I've had a sweetheart home on medical leave after injury sustained while serving overseas. Yes, he might be making me slightly insane at this point, but I still love him all the same. As it it is, he's been far more involved in what art I do online and how this blogging thing works. He was watching over my shoulder as I pulled out Stars Fashion looks and THIS is what HE chose this time. He said it was fun, different and made him feel like the person wearing it had not a care in the world, could play as they wished, and get the most out of life. I had to share. This outfit is called "True Love" which also seemed apt, because after 23 years, we still have that true love that makes things okay when everything else in the world seems to blow around like a hurricane. I'm glad he had a hand in this, and I enjoyed the very different look from Stars Fashion even more because of his input. Have fun at Stars Fashion. They have a vast array of items, and very good prices.

You'll also note a new release hanging from my ears from the Liv-Glam Curiosity line. The stars have color options for the gems as well as the metal and can be resized. I thought they had the same fun energy the outfit had, so I was happy to show you a new Liv-Glam release too.

And a quick PS... pop over to Image Essentials property to try their photo studios, their outdoor props and settings, and other ways to enhance your modeling needs and blogging.

[[Masoom]] Hellen Gown Red

There are many reasons people dislike mesh and many reasons they love it. In my case, I'm one of those who love it. I began SL in early March 2005. Things have evolved so quickly since then and each new thing makes what we're able to do with our Second Life experience all the more thrilling.

[[Masoom]] created this mesh dress from a basic mesh pattern, textured it, adding their own special touch to make it a [[Masoom]] gown rather that just any old gown. The long sleek red design works well for Christmas or New Years or Valentine's, if you like to think ahead that far.

New "Curiosity" Brand at Liv-Glam

It came as no surprise to me that Liv-Glam's staff expanded this week to include a jewelry designer. The verve that Samantha puts into building the Liv-Glam brand literally breathes life in what may at first seem like a pixelated fantasy. Just as Stella and a new shoe designer joined Liv-Glam about two months ago, now a jewelry maker has as well.

As I've gotten to know Samantha, I've been more and more able to see her vision through her eyes and art. One thing I've noted regularly has been the styling she uses to accent her clothing creations, eye catching bags, and bold jewelry. This Vintage Heirloom speaks silently this very essence of what seems to be Sam's vision for what it is to be a glamorous lady in Second Life. The earrings and necklace come with a HUD that permits you to change the stones in a wide array of color; it's a very versatile piece. Look for more from Curiosity in the coming year!
