Is It Just Pillow Talk - A Paradise Or a War Zone - [SWANK]: LIZIAAH and Luminesse

We don't have to go far to find our paradise or our war zone. And sometimes we find both in the same place with the same person. Do you ever notice how much more you argue, fuss and fight with the ones you love most? I do.
This month, [SWANK] brings the theme 50 Shades of Red. To me, that's like the fifty shades of passion I feel when I'm with my very best... friend, lover, bestie... passion comes in so many shades.
The metallic mesh corset from LIZIAAH made me think 'armor', the fantasy armor that does no more to protect us than the armor we try to wrap round our heart when we're in the middle of those passionate moments. Is it a paradise or a war zone? Either way, it's always going to be intense. Because it matters. We don't fight with strangers so much because we just don't care. Teardrop like earrings in a rose hue dangle from my ears, Luminesse Linza set comes with earrings and matching necklace, like those drops of moisture that seethe from my eyes when it matters.

Caliente! So Fiery, So Feisty - Featuring Zuri's, Rowena Springflower, EccentriciXi,

This outfit blends items from several stores that all had that brick red hue as the base color. The jacket from EccentriXi paired with the halter and skirt from Rowena Springflower Design looked as if they were designed to wear together. The boots from Pizazz were also that deep red tint, fitting well with my overall styling. With a filter on my photo, I went for a vintage look, two tones display the rich deep tints perfectly. Photo snapped at Image Essentials

After a Long Night - Featuring Analog Dog, Slink, October's 4Seasons and Venus Shoes

I took a new picture that I didn't hate. Onward and upward, heave ho!

Analog Dog has some awesome FREE balls on their beach. I went there last, maybe this time last year, and it was one free ball. Now there are like 6. Free is always good. This one is Val, in one of the dark red options.

My new favorite purchase - a mesh body - not so free but oh so fun, Slink Hourglass

October's 4Seasons January Group Gift Capricorn Perfection, well named because of course if it's by October (Keisha Xicotencatl ) it is perfection.

Venus offers 6 pair of Slink compatible heels including this pale pink pair called Pamela

I dropped by Image Essentials to shoot the photo. Kay always makes it easy-er to take good snaps because she's got it all set up for me.

I had a very negative experience with the lingerie designer so for now, I'm leaving that information off of my news of the day.

Fixing My Mistakes - Featuring 24 Squared With >Asset< and Blacklace; Featuring - DE Boutique from Designer Showcase

This week I've been away, on vacation, and happily soaking up the sun. Perhaps the sun addled my brain or perhaps I did that all on my own. Either way, I've had a terrible time with focus and details. I've sent apologies to the designers that were effected by my loss of focus. I'm glad they were thoughtfully forgiving. I'm glad that I'm allowed to be human and err from time to time. I'm ready, however, to get my balance once more. I'll be returning home tomorrow.

Items I have to share include two items from the 24 Squared Event that begins on September 5. It's a Siren Productions event, and will include a variety of designers including the two represented by this blog. Within the time frame, fashion shows, live models, and post show parties are scheduled.
Blacklace offered this bustier and shorts combination, along with multiple colors not showing in the photograph as part of their 24 Squared elements. The variety allows for all sorts of mixing and matching and makes it easy to style.
>Asset< and this slicked back hairstyle, offers this exclusive Vono Megapack at 24 Squared and only then, will you be able to purchase it. It will not be in stores after the event. Also, a limit of 25 per color and 25 fatpacks will be sold, and then they will be gone for good. If you love it, you should haste to grab it while the gettins' good.
I thought this image would be a good way to close this blog. It's a little bit like how I feel. The Wild West event has been mentioned in a previous blog showing the Saloon Pose set. This pose comes also from IE from it's Slain set. Once in a while, when we over do it, we feel like falling out on the floor, and taking a nap... A N Y W H E R E. So I think I will.

Wild West Event and Image Essentials Props and Poses is there! -- Rock Your Rack Opening 1 September and [Alexithemia] is there!

Image Essentials Props and Poses gets involved in events all over the grid, and it's a wonderful place to visit if you're a photographer, model or just someone looking for a fun place to explore. Kay Weston puts together her own poses with props and poses she buys elsewhere. She pays the tier on an entire sim, and doesn't charge for membership or anything. It's one of the most remarkable places I've been and she's one of the sweetest people I've met. This 'Saloon' set comes from the Wild West event.
The gown comes from another super event, Rock Your Rack. Designers from everywhere are on board with Models Giving Back as they seek to raise money and awareness for Breast Cancer Research. You can buy this gown, Jupiter's Desire, by [Alexithemia] - a new business on the grid - and in the process, get an exclusive gown and something special that also donates to the charity.

Beautiful At Sunset -- Featuring Morphine and Kyxe Skins & Shapes

I had fun with photos and lighting and backdrops and more today. It's rare that I do three blogs in one day AND post one of them to Versus, so it feels like an awesome day. This gown comes from a designer that used to be called [Mirror's Enigma] but has since rebranded and now calls herself SL - Morphine.
I know her as a skin designer, and she's talented! She sent me this pretty gown, that has the option of being a dark blue (shown in the photos) a dark red or a black. If you don't know Ydreece Forester, she's someone worth meeting and her designs are made with talent and a whole lot of heart. That's the best sort to me. I was grateful she thought to send me one of her new releases.
The other thing I'm happy to show you is the next in the series of the new FACE at Kyxe Skins & Shapes - Laila in the skin tone Blossom! One of many reasons why I adore Kyxe's products is the amount of work that goes into each skin release. You'll find a number of options, with hair base, without, with teeth, without, with light brow, with darker brow, and on and on... these things make every Linden you invest go further and the quality of each new skin FACE shows the craft of the designer partners as it develops betterer and betterer.

I Could Be An Exotic Princess! -- Featuring from Artizana at Designer Showcase, Image Essentials at The Black Fair, Kyxe Skins & Shapes and Chop Zuey

All summer long... I could wear this little dress everywhere. I wish I owned one in my closet here in my world off line. It's sleek and sexy and comfortable. This month at Designer Showcase, LAYIDU VI as well as four other items are on sale. Get to know Artizana - "Ethnic inspired fashions for women & men - mesh clothing, accessories & decor. Exotic African, Caribbean, Indian, Indonesian, Persian fabrics. Africa ethnic couture boho and more..."
Kyxe Skins & Shapes have a new 'face' coming very soon - Laila. This is the Chocolate Cosmos version. I find the eyes and brow notably different from some of the other faces created by the same designer. My favorite feature on this newest face is the dark thick brow. It's fashionably fierce. More new poses from Image Essentials Props and Poses allow me to show you the best curves, oh la la!
Chop Zuey sells something you want. I just know they do. I know this because every single time I visit, there are many somethings I want. From the very unique items that you might not ever even envision to the classic wedding bands to the casual everyday colorful stones sets, it's there. This Romance in F set is just one example. I loved the button style of the ring, so I turned it to the side and converted to earrings to add to the overall look.

Just An Elegant Dress -- Featuring Loovus Dzevavor and [Liv-Glam] from Designer Showcase, Also Image Essentials, Face Paint and [White-Widow]

I really liked the design of this pencil skirt and top meshed together. I love the way it hits a high waist then drops down below the knee. Fashion evolves, and skirt lengths go up and down. The pencil skirt won't ever go out of style and Loovus Dzevavor really made this one feel refined.
This dress and the heels as well are part of August's Designer Showcase. [Liv-Glam] offers a set of pantone colors for the heels, so I tuned one in that looked as if it were created to match the dress. Love it when that works!
Beautiful poses abound at Image Essentials Props and Poses, and in this case, also at some of the events away from the main store like these Graceful Elegance set at the Black Fair. A blend of two great makeup designers created the overall face, and I loved the intensity. [White-Widow]'s Chance provided the elements that framed the eyes while Face Paint's recent Doe release painted the rest.

Every single item from the slinkiest nightie to the most delicate wedding pieces has a special air of elegance and class to it. Image Essentials Props and Poses has several items at The Black Fair including this chair that's been designed with multiple pose options built into it. The basic black and white makes it easy for you to find a place for it anywhere in your house or club.

Wedding Gowns and Lingerie -- Featuring Carrie's Lingerie, Truth, Gaeline, Kastle Rock Couture, JUMO, FINESMITH, {{BSD Design Studio}} and Image Essentials

Every month, a new creation appears for a limited time at Carrie's Lingerie. These limited delicious gowns/lingerie appear at the beginning of each new month, then disappear at month's end, into a vault.
This month, Carrie's has focused on Weddings, for June is the month of weddings, and the limited Trinity gown has all the accoutrements of a wedding gown from head to toe. And as you peel away the layers, hidden underneath is a gorgeous lacy lingerie. I appreciate the detail added to every new Limited, but I think this month's Limited exceeds all previous experiences I've had with the Limiteds. This gown is over the top. And if you always wanted to be a bride, but don't want the hassle of the relationship, visit Image Essentials Props and Poses for this handsome stand in, new this month!

Another monthly treat I look forward to at Carrie's Lingerie happens because I joined as a VIP member 3 years ago and ever since then, in addition to getting a discount on new releases and a special sale wall each month available only to those who are VIPs, there's also a beautiful VIP gift (one for the ladies and one for the gents).

I show the basic VIP gift in the black bra, panty, gloves and stockings set of the first photo. But then I added a wee twist to the photo of the same outfit zoomed in closer. Carrie's gone GACHA crazy and there are corsets in a variety of colors. The first one I got was the basic black and white, and for me, it was PERFECTLY suited to this styling.

Besides the new lingerie, you'll see new TRUTH hair, only released this week, Zoella. new heels from BSD Design studio, and a face veil from Kastle Rock Couture. Gaeline has several new sets of mesh lashes (on their very easy to use HUD system); I'm sharing Phantasmogoria in this series. For the black based lingerie, I only used one small piece of jewelry, the Labradorite ring from JUMO, and with the wedding photos, I used a new release from FINESMITH, called Three. I modified the earrings so they're each sized differently, so when you look at the photo, I don't want you to fret that you might get earrings that don't match. They doooo, I promise!

I'm grateful to each designer who added their artistry to make this style possible:

Sometimes I Write Epistles! -- Featuring from Fashion For Life [Wild Serenity], from Designer Showcase {ZOZ}; New >Asset< and M&Ms

It is my intention to post the local .org address of Relay for Life each time I blog because some of you may want to do as I do and pay directly to the .org site for tax purposes. http://www.relayforlife.org/getinvolved/donate/index Another way you can get involved is to visit the AMAZING sims filled with creations, exclusives, designed to tickle your fancy and inspire your purchase. [Wild Creations] new Gilded Blush Filigree is an exclusive item, and with your purchase, you will be donating to Relay for Life via. Fashion For Life in our SL.
I know, by now it's sooo difficult to figure out what Karyn's like best in this world. I wear my every motion on my sleeve and I'm outgoing and vocal about things I truly want to support. This is the same me on or off line, Facebook or Flickr, or a snail mail letter to my amazing Uncle Bob! I believe in education and charity, and the combination of both, and how they can be fleshed out in our Second Life as well as our world off line. The thin line that divides those worlds gets thinner all the time.
All glitz and glam as I get set to begin sharing the glorious creations coming from multiple directions for all the sorts of reasons I love getting excited about here. Fashion for Life as it has been called the past two years is about Cancer research, and raises money for something that almost everyone has had personal experience with, and rarely ever in that 'right' way.
The big C scared me this year. It tore away my own sense of self empowering, about taking care of me better than anyone else could do, about being my own advocate, and about how to interact with personnel at every level of medical care in a positive way because their days are long, taxing, grueling, and by the end of every single one of them, they're spent and tomorrow will present exactly the same, more of it, more people needing, more people hurting, and few people remembering to say thank you.
People have asked me, since I'm a blogger and have sponsors, how do charity events work for me? It's a fair question and I want to share personally. I always find the .org website. Most of the well known fundraising, medical, etc. type sites have switched away from .com and moved to .org. I pay as Karyn Co.... and safe the receipt. I pass on the receipt with my personal address/phone blacked out to the event coordinator so she can add the tally of USD donations for this year to his or her list, and then I get to work, blogging what you share with me, and loving every moment of it.
Designer Showcase continues into June with all new designs and fun products at beyond fair prices. I just met the brand {ZOZ} last month and it's already become one of my favorite new kids on my block brands. I love places like Designer Showcase and with their help to pain my nails, {ZOZ} for June makes an appearance.
The hair designer >Asset< is really growing on me -- get it? Bad pun. Past my bed time. The thing is, I've worked with a couple of budding hair stylists and they had different margins of success. I have not found one yet that I couldn't use somehow and each time I get something new from the store, I think the skill putting together the hair has improved and makes it more useful to me as a blog model. If you don't know >Asset<, they may be a well kept secret but one you should check out!
Due to the fact that my brain has holes in it like swiss cheese, I have some of the oddest combinations of pieces saved in inventory. It's my own wild chaotic way of staying organized. Yesterday I cleared out 20,000+ pieces of inventory to make room for Fall/Winter 2013 and Spring/Summer 2014. Everything else was so yesterday! While I was opening folders and tossing, I found a buncha heels from M&M's, multiple colors, and put on a pair for this blog. I don't think it's the sort of M&M's that melt in your mouth, not in your hand, but heels that you'll enjoy with every sort of favorite pants set or dress.

How can I possibly thank those who make this blog possible often enough? I'm always so grateful:

My Last From PENUMBRA Lyrical Bizarre and Image Essentials; Also New >Asset< and {{BSD Design Studio}}

It's sad when an event comes to a close. I feel like I pour so much of me into each one, and then it just leaves forever. I have really enjoyed working with the designers who participated in the .PENUMBRA. Fashion Week S/S.
This is my last blog from PENUMBRA. I'm showing some pieces from Lyrical B!zarre Templates, the Diverge Mesh Skirt, and Image Essentials Props and Poses, from the Accessories set. I love their work all the time and the exclusives and uniqueness that they set aside for fashion week just made me love it all the more. I tucked a gorgeous corset from Carrie's Lingerie into the skirt to tweak a different look from the original, but that's part of the fun for me!
I'm also wearing new hair. I only agreed to blog for >Asset< as one hair company went out of business and another came on the grid and the friend passed on my name. I enjoy new businesses building a reputation and when they create quality work, it's even easier to hail their arrival and showcase their art. This newest hair from them, Hurricane, is my favorite so far of any that I've been asked to review.
The shoes at {{BSD BSD Design studio}} always have the personal touch from the shoe creator. Just like our world off line, new designers succeed at times because they're able to create a niche all their own with their own twist, their own passion, their own infusion of self into fashion. I think that's how Babycham PagneSass makes it work, time after time, including La Dolce Vita.

My deepest thanks to the designers who make my blog possible:

Home On the Range -- Featuring B.BOS and [NV] from PENUMBRA, Truth, {{BSD}} Design Studio, and Face Paint

Many times in Second Life, I travel places and deliberately use the items, clothing, accessories, jewelry and poses designed for the men. Fewer things exist for men only and I imagine that's because there are far fewer of the male population in SL who care to be models and so demand is low for content creators. Those who do create the content for the male gender make great stuff, and sometimes it gives an edge to the female who might perch, because it's new, something no one has yet seen, and that continues to be one of the model's best tricks. See something first, find something new, designs, places, people, and figure out a way to compile it into a useful sales tool that basically sells the brand 'self' - in this case, the brand Caryn.
Tonight, I returned to Image Essentials Props and Poses property and used the Male prop studio. (The women's studio was in use and I knew I could find something as backdrop for the casual outfit I'd just styled.) The studios are great, as are the many photo op locations around the sim for photographers. Every so often new things are rotated in and older things removed. This 'Cowboy' studio set was new to me. It had poses collected by Kay Weston then creatively applied to the build. One sitting on the fence and one leaning against the fence were created by PNP while the one of me laying in the meadow came from Mystical Lane.
My outfit consists again of items from PENUMBRA Fashion week. I love how the virtual world emulates the physical one, and things like fashion weeks around the world happen in both worlds I love. B.BOS created the Maddy Tartan Pant and [NV] designed the Weiss top. I paired new items from other parts of the grid with these two PENUMBRA creations. {{BSD Design Studio}} continues to make me oooh and aaahh with pleasure because I'm such a shoes and boots fanatic! This pair of grey Supermodel Anniversary Limited heels show just one example of why her designs make me smile! Truth Hair and I have been around about the same length of time in Second Life. I just celebrated my 9th rez day a few weeks ago, and I can remember when only a few designers made hair or shoes or jewelry and I can also remember how vitally different those items then and the counterparts now really were. A very good friend, someone who simply wanted to encourage my modeling dreams gifted me a card for Truth hair so I've been blessed with several new styles and this one is the most recent. I think I like this one because of the unusual name Chilali and how fun and flirtatious it felt; it's perfect for spring.
Eve Express was one of my first mentors as I began the journey that brought me to this point in my life, blogging passionately, styling passionately, and passionately interacting in other ways with the fashion community. She took a hiatus, which disappointed so many customers, but each and everyone of them understood that she needed a break, and supported her needs. They just missed her makeup styles. Now she's back, collecting a few 'testers' for her group that try on new looks before she boxes them up and puts them on the sales floor. The new Face Paint will remind you of the old, with all the details very similar, only newer makeup, fresh for 2014 now tempts you. I'm grateful for all the people who paused in their world to help educate and encourage me in my world, and one of those people - Eve. Drop by, see the new products, offer your testing skills, and if you've never met her, nows a great time to get to know her!

None of this that I do would be possible without the support of these designers. Thank you!

It Started With a Pair Of Glasses from [AD] -- Featuring [AD] and Swallow from Couturier's Docks, HOLLYHOOD from FASHIONART Faire, and [Liv-Glam]

A very unique pair of glasses from [AD] motivated me to this style. I had to find pieces that would work with the glasses and not cover them up. They actually have the standard bar that wraps around the ear but then they have those interesting wings that made me think of a librarian meet goth chic style. In our world, anything goes, yes? Liv-Glam creates textures continually that make the mesh 'anything' look perfect for the cut, the style, and the use for such a dress or pant suit or whatever comes next. This knee length sleeveless summer dress captivates with large print with primary pattern pieces on a color HUD so you have several outfits in one.
I look at designers' blogs when I style for them the first few times, and because I got to work alongside the creators at Liv-Glam early on in my experience as a blogger model, I got to see how they viewed the finished product. Unique pieces of jewelry, glasses, and bags are often in their photos. I tried to go with their overall aesthetic. Swallow Skin and Accessory Second Life has new jewelry at The Couturier's Docks this month, and I wanted to use several of the pieces with this. If you hurry over to the docks, you'll see the many other little Safari items included in the box, and hopefully find yourself inspired to find your inner rawr! I took one of the earrings and pinned it to the glasses to pull the items together, but wearing together or separately, they're deliciously different bits of art.
Normally, after I've posted one item from an event, I move on to other items. There could be 5 or 8 dresses and gowns, but only 1 shoe designer presented, or only one jewelry designer participating, and the same can happen with pose creators. Rather than go to items I've already used, I'll focus on those 5 or 8 dresses at different times during the event's duration, and I'll pull one pair of shoes from the shoe designer for one gown and later, another pair of shoes from them also. HOLLYHOOD has shoes and clothing at FASHIONART Faire, and all of it is fantastic. The shoes seen here are Twisted SLink applier heels. I loved the tan stitching across the black leather.
Different times I'm motivated by different things, which makes sense I imagine, as artists would say the same, painting, writing, drawing, pixels, whatever their medium. I photographed the glasses, dress and jewelry three different times with different combinations of accessories until I found the pictures that suited me and felt like they were right for the outfit. I've thrown items in from all over the grid, so you need to put on your best shopping shoes and have fun!

I'm thankful to each designer who contributed to make this style possible:

Kiss Me Pink -- Featuring Image Essentials and *~Damesfly*~ from FASHIONART Faire, [[Masoom]] at Designer Showcase, and N-Core

I always thought that having a water park next to the ocean made sense. I traveled to Visit Myrtle Beach, South Carolina a number of times as a young person, and then many many more times as an adult and parent of two of my own little people. Saltwater and sand are two things that must be tolerated to enjoy the beach, and when I go, I know there will be plenty of both, hidden in pockets, in small crevices of shoes, under beds... EVERYWHERE.
Several parks by the ocean have existed over the 40 or so years I've been to Myrtle, and they've always been a welcome reprieve. Energy remains high, people having fun, screaming at the long quick drops of a water slide, children splashing in the children's area, and screaming, and so much more. It's fresh water. It's entertainment that purely exhausts the children (and the mother!!), and it's a different sort of bonding experience. Overcoming fears, accepting the thrill of the moment, and talking about it for hours later, even days or years later, make those moments priceless.
I saw this slide by the ocean and immediately had a rush of wonderful memories flood my senses. I knew I wanted to shoot the series of photos at the top of the slide. Masoom's Sunny Day Bikini and Hat may be found at Designer Showcase May. The elegant poses come from Image Essentials Props and Poses and are another special item they have at the FASHIONART Faire. I discovered N-Core's newest group gift when I dropped by to check on sales. The name Pink Glitter Zebra made me laugh out loud. I needed a pair of shoes that color! Really, I did. I've already shown you the hair from *~Damesfly*~, one of the four options for sale at FASHIONART Faire, but I wanted to use it again because it's one of my favorite current hair styles in my inventory and if you knew how I hoarded hair, you'd see how difficult it would be to make it to the top of my list!
And, one more thing... don't the lips look so kissable? A new spring/summer season of lipsticks are coming to Kyxe Skins & Shapes, and the lips shown here are a sneak peek preview. They're so new, they don't have an official name, but the series of lips will be Romance, so perfect for the hopeful romantic in me. Maybe with kissable lips, I'll get a kiss or two. Miracles do happen.

To the designers who made this blog possible, thank you so much!

Easter Market: 1)PICHI, 2)WERTINA - Japan Fair: Candy Nail, Also KaTink, EMO-tions, Chop Zuey, {{BSD}} and Kyxe Skins & Shapes

With pose creators, they seem to make them in packs of five or ten. As a model, and as I've prepared different looks, I noticed that if the pack were used in tandem, it looks like the pack could be used all at once on a runway and display a dress, or boots, or something with each pack. I have much much more experience behind a camera than on a runway, so this is only my perception. I had fun with setting up the poses here, from KaTink. One had hands up, and I immediately thought stealth, like on Survivor when one of member of an alliance overhears something while listening behind a bush. You'll see my rendition of that in this set of photos. Thank you KaTink.
Many of the items that come with different fairs and events are full outfits from the get go. I feel responsible to show you as many parts as possible in such outfit sets. I like separates a lot, as well, and when I have the chance, like I did in this series, to put a top by one designer with a skirt or pants or shorts in this case, it's more of a puzzle to me.
The sweater print is from WERTINA at Easter Market, and the shorts are from PICHI. I also have a new set of nails from Candy Nail, from Japan Fair. I've been a Candy Nail shopper for a few years, so I enjoyed finding Candy Nail as part of Japan Fair and knew it would be a treat. There are several styles, some with very unique sculpts for the nail's shape. You have to go and see!
EMO-tions spoils customers with new gifts regularly. The hair that Ms. Mirja Mills is giving away this month is seen in these photos, Suri in the Snow color. The headband will change colors, to optimize your use. I liked keeping it white so it would show the bold difference between the white head scarf and the Marigold skin tone from Kyxe Skins & Shapes.
The very very up close and personal head shot was taken to show you a whole new product idea that was added to Kyxe inventory this weekend, brow tattoos to add drama to your skins in many color and shape options. Across runways in the world of fashion off line, brilliant colored hair and unique brows are trending. This means more pink and blue hair this spring! I'm going to dye it!! And also thick, or cut or even brightly matching brows are on the horizon.
Babycham PagneSass touched my heart when she allowed me to begin blogging her shoes mid-year of 2013. I knew she crafted her own mesh forms for each new shoe, and she had her own ideas and dreams to creatively add something to the fashion world of Second Life. I think she's had an impressive new year, and for one lady (me!) she's made my heart soar more than a few times as she shared a new style here and there. The Super Model shoe was the first shoe I blogged for her and now she's released a Special Anniversary version of it, and the Nu Purple suited just fine for this styling. I wish her the very best in 2014, and beyond as she continues to grow.
One other detail is the Brooch from Chop Zuey. The small heart pin stuck to my sweater made me think of the pinning that used to occur in the days when my parents were dating. If a fella liked a girl, he'd pin her. I think it was like a promise to a promise to a promise, that meant it was possible, even likely, that the couple would marry after high school ended. I don't think there are little significant moments like that in modern teen culture. It's a sweet little heart pin and beautifully designed.

What a treat each designer presented that helped create this blog. Thank you!

More Beauty From Fashion Pride - Shiki and Zuri's - Plus Exile and Kyxe's New Items

I got new hair from Exile. Now I could be a hair addict EASILY... but I try to work with the hair items that I've received over the period of time I've blogged. Sometimes, despite myself, I still go shopping. It's soothing. Hair. Soothing.

I have the new dress from Shiki and new jewelry from Zuri's, both coming from items prepared for the Fashion Pride Second Life event.

If you look closely, you can see the Marigold Hannah special skin item from Kyxe Skins & Shapes. You must visit Kyxe and see all that is new. Updates to skins include makeup, and the group gifts you'll find at Kyxe take your breath away!

Thank you Lyrical Bizarre for making the pose contributed by Grafica come to life. I really enjoy blogging and photography, but it's a thousand times more fun when I get to share it with friends like you. :*

Thank you designers for contributing your designs to help create this styling:

It's More Than Just the Clothes... Featuring Wicca's Wardrobe, h.m.a.e.m., FINESMITH, [[Masoom]] and KMADD/Moda

If this were just about the clothes to me, I would have lost my way a long time ago. It has to be about the people to me. There are people who've been visiting and playing and living in Second Life for years, and there are some who just arrived last month.

Those with an entrepreneurial spirit will bustle forward with brilliant energy and it doesn't really matter how new they are. It's more about the attitude and the will to make it happen, and that old saying, "Where there's a will, there's a way." really makes sense.

I love listening to those who have big dreams. I didn't really even know the fashion world existed for the first years I participated in Second Life. There are many out there with huge dreams, reaching towards something special. Fashion ends up being one segment of dreamers, and they like to dream big.

Besides designers, there are a number of other businesses associated with the clothing creators. It takes a world of people who are equally passionate to market the clothes, showcase the clothes, wear the clothes, talk about the clothes and so much more. I enjoy participating in that whole process. I enjoy the process, and most of all, the people.
