I Couldn't Stop Caring - Featuring NEW Chop Zuey and [SWANK] DC Designs

I wouldn't want to be able to stop caring, no matter what. However, I do understand the emotion behind the song by The Spiritual Machines "Couldn't Stop Caring" because I have had some really dark moments in my life where people have just let me down, and let me down, and let me down again. It's hard. I think the song speaks to the emotion of watching someone who loves drugs, probably heroin, more than they love others and more than they love self. Heroin takes everything and then some from whoever gets hooked and leaves death in its wake. It might not be actual death, but ultimately it leads there, and in the meantime the shell of what was once a person little resembles the person who was once in the body.

I've battled up my own hills and faced my own addictions. Every moment, every single second, feels like it lasts forever and then the next second finally arrives and its harsh and demanding and intense all over again. It's very hard to see beyond the addiction, beyond the pain, the pills or the powder. It's hard to feel anything for anyone. It's just immensely hard.

If you know someone who struggles, whether its prescription medications that end up ten years down the road and the person like me doesn't know what or who or where or how life got to that point... or a person who's hooked on recreational (the worst name for most drug use) drugs and cannot find their way either, you're always going to be the stronger person. They cannot care. They cannot see. They cannot feel. You want to stop caring. You want to stop seeing. You want to stop feeling. Please take a deep breath and embrace hope and love and don't stop caring.

Now I'm on the other side of the darkness, and I feel so much, see so much, hear and know and taste and care so much. Sometimes its overwhelming. I know how desperately others need this love and hope because I KNOW how much I needed someone else to love and hope for me when I was incapable of it. The song speaks to someone who wishes they could stop caring, but cannot. I hope. I care. I love. I hope the same for you.
The stunning new release from Chop Zuey dangles from my ears, shimmers across my right shoulder and chest and twinkles round my right wrist. The Quiet Hush Of Christmas Morning [FLRN] at Winter Market Event, BaoBa at The Couturier's Docks and New NOYA Gifts

I went late late last night to the party Mr. Marcus announced for those who didn't want to be alone at Christmas. It was far too late to find party goers but I did have the pleasure of marveling at the beautiful layout and decor of the club. I felt like a little girl tiptoeing around the house after the grown-ups had turned out the lights and tucked everyone in bed. It was beautiful.
I've only begun to know Mr. Lefevre... and the more I know of him and the more I know him, the more I realize how he's impacted others' lives. It's truly a treat and a blessing, something you couldn't wrap and tuck under a tree, but a gift nonetheless. Baoba created this adorable hat made of poinsettias and ornamentation called "Rudolf" for The Couturier's Docks.
The new sweat and mini skirt set, which I love love love for the details and quality of content is from [FLRN] and can be purchased at their Winter Event and NOYA sent out a set of gifties to loyal customers (in my opinion she does far too much but I'm grateful for those gifts) and this box included some snowflake type lashes. The party had ended, and the whole place silent as I stood between the gilded golden tree and the silver grand piano, and I still soaked in that spirit of the holidays. I hope yours is blessed, whatever your faith, wherever you are in this great wild world.

The Dark Angel On My Shoulder -- Baboom Couture and October's 4Seasons New Releases

I begin the day with a captivating gown created by Kyra at Baboom Couture. This Dark Angel gown replete with the most unique skirt and beautiful wings struck me on a personal level and I found myself feeling ethereal, as if for a moment or two, I had an angel on my shoulder as I worked with the photos.

Each year the sophistication of the program on which we play or live or however you define your Second Life grows more realistic, offers more options and in essence becomes more... more beautiful, more dynamic, offering more options to the creative minds behind content creation. This reflects both in the gown I wear and the surroundings. Just look at the rabbits, the trees laden with snow and the icy waterfall. Gorgeous.
October's 4Seasons has a brand new set of Holiday Designs nails for you, coming very soon. They're unique in the fact that instead of having a colorful base and silver tips, the silver is a crescent of shiny and the rest of the nail is painted color with silver etchings. You'll love adding them to holiday themed attire.

Tiny Footprints -- Featuring !Lybra and Dulce Secrets From Tiny Footprints Charity Event

Tiny Footprints is a new idea to me but so wonderfully special. This week, this charity has items for sale that help raise funds to support the charity. For families who lose children at a very young age, Tiny Footprints works to connect those families with skilled photographers who will take a special memories photograph to commemorate their young child's life. You can read more about the organization and what they stand for and do, and donate directly here: http://www.thetinyfootprintsproject.com/
I have on a gown that's designed by Lybra called Dementia. This purchase goes 100% to the charity, and is a beautiful vintage clothing style. I also picked up the array of makeup from Dulce Secrets called Over the Rainbow, also set to donate 100% of the proceeds to this charity.
You can find designers from all different points of view at this event. I hope you have time to go by and see. You can find this in SL at http://maps.secondlife.com/secondli…/Oracle%20Sparc/…/207/37

Dancing In A New Month -- Featuring Lybra from Designer Showcase, Featuring Loordes of London from The Instruments

After dancing the first day of November into existence with a few friends and patrons of Lybra, hanging out with the designers, Lybra Rage and Natzuka, I had to write about the new gown from their amazing array of art they create. This Olympia gown may be bought at Designer Showcase and though it's almost pure white, with the feather boa for the shoulders, and sleeves that are long, you'll be able to wear this any season, for holiday celebrations, or just to hang out and dance a new month into existence.
The shoes peeking out from under the gown come from Loordes of London, and can be bought this month at The Instruments. You'll find these heels along with several other styles, plus other items as well, so a visit will be worth your time!
I have to make a quick comment about the Angelina series of skins from October's 4Seasons. These skins compete graphically with the best skins on the grid. Period. They offer every option you might seek, for attachments, appliers, and mesh. There are different brow shapes, and stunning makeup that October creates each time she makes a new skin tone. She's taking the 'Seasons' theme, that will help you choose the right skin AND the right outfits and hair and other elements of your avi, to a new level and making sure you know when you're wearing what season, and educating in a positive way in the process. The last thing I have to say, the skins that are not the traditional pale, cream and tan, the ones that exemplify a native heritage like Indian cultures from India and Indian cultures from the Americas, a beautiful array of dark skins that could be from the vastness that is Africa or the indigenous people of Australia, those skin tones are better than any other designer makes them in my opinion, and not because I get paid to say so or because she's a sisterfriend. It's simply truth. If you haven't tried an October's 4Seasons skin, you should. They hold up under any lighting, at low or ultra level graphics, and on any runway. They're also awesome for the everyday Second Life girl who's looking for the best on the market. Angelina Milk and Walnut are sold at The Couturier's Docks, just a little longer, and limited supply. If you visit the main store, you'll find a new group gift just set out last night, and new releases of Angelina, makeup, and more. I do adore October, or as I affectionately nicknamed her Ms. Oooo. I also admire her business acumen and her incredible talented artistry. You will too.

Celebrating Its Second Birthday - Featuring !Lyrical B!zarre Templates

After the absolute thrill of working with Jamee two nights ago, another wonderful lady and friend greeted me at the beginning of this day with a misty eyes because of her thoughtfulness and ideas. Lyrical B!zarre Templates celebrates its Second birthday and as part of her celebration, she has some of her bloggers and friends photos up in a gallery that might resemble some of the art galleries you've seen in world but in this case, it's photos of her pieces, from different collections, different points of view, and she put up two of my photos, thus came the misty eyes. I had to head over to her gallery after reading her note.
(**By the way, any designer, any time, if I've blogged your item and/or put it on Flickr, you have my permission to reblog, keep the photo and import into SL, use on your website, etc. I take all my own pictures except when Ms. Oooo does, so I ask you give me credit as photog and model, and I hope they encourage consumers to visit your stores, to participate in your events, and overall enhance the Second Life experience.)
While we were both there, I asked her if she'd consider posing with me, so I could have her photo. I'd already styled and shot the first two photos seen here and was on the verge of stripping and starting again when I saw her note regarding the art gallery and 2nd Birthday. It should be open to the public by this weekend and meanwhile, there are ALWAYS new treats at LBT for you to buy, and all over the grid as well, for events, sales, and more.
I try to put her clothing together with other items, shoes, hair, and all that jazz, but change the look of the item slightly, and I do it for a reason. It's fun to repurpose items, but beyond that, her store caters to the designers out there who don't make their own mesh and want to buy full perm designs to use for their own business. I think by editing the items from her store that I blog, I show at least one more way you can play with her work, and make it unique to your tastes.

Happy Birthday to Lyrical Bizarre and many more to come.

Warm and Cozy -- Featuring E C R U at Designer Showcase, City Chic at DEbRA, B!asta, Baubles! by Phe, and X-Sight from the Promenade, NiNight Creations from Four Seasons Market, and ~ghee

Sometimes it's a challenge to mix and match items. After recently mentioning PLEASE create items that come in tops, bottoms, pants or skirts, and other layers, the fates heard me, or you did and yay! Layers. So much of the fashion friendly for 2014 Autumn/Winter has layers, for miles. Now all of us don't live in NYC, but I remember when ladies in Jacksonville FLORIDA (you know, where the sun shines almost as much as California), women wore UGG boots. Ugh. But fashion is fashion, yes?
I pieced this first style together with items from Events, head to toe! At the Promenade, I found a box of B!asta Treasures that included the necklace and earrings seen here. Also at the Promenade, I found a box of rings from Baubles! by Phe and slid the Amber one onto my finger. Way up high, at the event horizon from which the DEbRA fundraiser will come together, I found this Autumn top and skirt from City Chic. I pulled the patterned skirt then looked around for more. The hooded sweater looked cozy though it's still in the 80s here in the midlands of SC. Way too soon to wear, but fun to play barbie with it, a design from Ninight Creations that you'll find at Four Seasons Market.
X-Sight has a wide array of colors at the Promenade. I'll use them for several blogs so you can see the different hues. And after asking around for help, Warm Clarity from ~ghee hooked me up with some multi-colored tights. It's hard to believe how pop culture melded with runway designers into the Hipster layers with loads and loads of tights, but few designers have them in SL, and even fewer have the ones that would be SLink compatible. Perhaps by the end of 2014, there will be more. Thank you Warm!

Never Give Up -- Featuring -{ZOZ}- from .PENUMBRA. Fashion Week and WAYNE

I have two new looks to share this morn... ermm afternoon. Where did time go? The first comes from a little work done for October's 4 Seasons campaign. The mini dress with a sleek line and deep cleavage teases wickedly yet retains that balance of decency, making it something I could wear to a party as well as in my personal space with a loved one. WAYNE is the dress designer.
Amazing Marigold, and the newest 'face' Laila debuts beautifully during .PENUMBRA. Penumbra Fashion & Events and will be a part of one of the fashion shows coming this weekend. I can't wait to see how the different models use the skins and all the glorious skin tones.
More heels to flaunt with ferocity come from -{ZOZ}- and as amazing as the heels are, I want a pair of each. Alas, my bank would be utterly broke and I would be naked but have a lot of terrific shoes. Would that work? These heels are called Jazlyn. I think one of the last cycles of America's Next Top Model I ever watched was won by a girl named Jazlyn. She was one of those wonder stories, had tried out before, and finally made the cut and ended up winning. Never give up, I think. Never.

Pretty and Prim In Pink - Featuring Danielle's Exclusive from Rock Your Rack, *~Damesfly*~ and HOLLYHOOD at 24 Squared and Opal at Designer Showcase

The darling dress comes from Rock Your Rack, Danielle's Exclusive Charlotte in pink. Though it looks like layered items, it's textured to trick the eye and fits easily without having to figure out which size on which layer so you don't have things popping out where you don't want, and you have pieces that look like they flair out and it's a beautiful optical illusion. Classy design and cleverly drawn. It's beautiful. I'm not usually an all pink girl but it fit perfectly with the fundraising for Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Rock Your Rack continues through September 15.

Designers contributed work like this dress to raise funds, but you can also donate directly if you follow this link: https://www.stayclassy.org/fundraise?fcid=283425

From 24 squared, *~Damesfly*~ has a gorgeous full bodied flowing mass of hair, Shyanne. I think this is more hair than I've owned or worn in years. My hair used to be about this long off line and I recall how much work it was to keep it groomed. Isn't it wonderful how the online world allows us to skip all those little life knots and have the beauty without the work? Additionally, you will find HOLLYHOOD with two different styles of SLink compatible heels. The Kitten Heels are wooden wedges, and the other style glitters like fine diamonds with a variety of colors. Oh la la!
Opal continues to have items at Designer Showcase month after month, and each month there's something fresh and lovely, a new treasure to be had, and at the discount room, the treasure won't break your bank. Sea Star earrings and necklace are offered in two different colors, and add a playful bright bit of color to a casual outfit. With the pink woven into the set, I thought it helped accentuate the overall styling wonderfully well.

A Wonderful Whirlwind of Fun -- Featuring Wicca's Wardrobe at Couturier's Docks and Rock Your Rack

Wicca's Wardrobe - A Wonderful Whirlwind Of Fun -

I'm so thrilled to work with Wicca and Wicca's Wardrobe from time to time, at least the times our paths cross! She's got one of the most unique styles of anyone I know so it's logical that her designs for her store are also unique and so very Wicca.

This time, I styled two outfits, using many of the same materials so I could showcase items from both the Couturier's Docks and the Rock Your Rack exclusive she's created to help raise money for Breast Cancer Research along with Models Giving Back. Both are cleverly constructed and something new to the eye. I love that.
The Couturier's Dock outfit includes a top/skirt combination, Violetta, with a pair of toeless shoe-leggings, Lavinia. The perfect pedicure peeps out at the open toed window. A top hat and dress, Nephele Gown, that looks as if it might have stepped out from another century shows a completely different side of Wicca's designs, and makes for the second of two contrasting pieces that show her diversity.

Beautiful At Sunset -- Featuring Morphine and Kyxe Skins & Shapes

I had fun with photos and lighting and backdrops and more today. It's rare that I do three blogs in one day AND post one of them to Versus, so it feels like an awesome day. This gown comes from a designer that used to be called [Mirror's Enigma] but has since rebranded and now calls herself SL - Morphine.
I know her as a skin designer, and she's talented! She sent me this pretty gown, that has the option of being a dark blue (shown in the photos) a dark red or a black. If you don't know Ydreece Forester, she's someone worth meeting and her designs are made with talent and a whole lot of heart. That's the best sort to me. I was grateful she thought to send me one of her new releases.
The other thing I'm happy to show you is the next in the series of the new FACE at Kyxe Skins & Shapes - Laila in the skin tone Blossom! One of many reasons why I adore Kyxe's products is the amount of work that goes into each skin release. You'll find a number of options, with hair base, without, with teeth, without, with light brow, with darker brow, and on and on... these things make every Linden you invest go further and the quality of each new skin FACE shows the craft of the designer partners as it develops betterer and betterer.

*MochaWear* - NEW NEW NEW - A Brand New Store On the Grid

I actually styled this *MochaWear* Rose Cardinal gown for Hermione Mocha - aka Pattie Peacock - because (EXCITING!!) she's opened her own store and wanted me to share in her joy and her artistry by blogging an item or two from her initial releases.
I went through the things she shared and thought about each of our own personal approaches to art and how very differently they can appear. The same idea, a red gown for example, might be produced as many ways as there are designers out there making gowns.
I took two photos in one locale and then got busy helping someone and distracted. I then came in to do something else the next day and had 'photograph Hermione's gown' on the top of my list. It wasn't til I went to edit the photos that I realized I had duplicate sets of photos from two different days looks. You can see a few changes I made from day one to day two.
I don't think I could ever say enough to share how much I revere Belle Roussel. The work she puts in, hours and hours and hours of it, shows in everything she does. Quality products for more than fair prices. But there's more. She constantly has items she gives away, so even the most restricted budget might own a pretty bit of sparkle at Chop Zuey just because that's the way it works. Today's Mistress Enchantment set offers something I've actually not seen often, a very long chain. It's beautiful and accented the gown well.

Wicca's Wardrobe At The Hunger Games; Celebrating a New Kyxe Face and Glittering Too From Chop Zuey

I found another radically fun costume to show you! This outfit called Enobaria comes from the genius of Wicca's Wardrobe and is an exclusive for The Hunger Games. Few accessories were needed to complete the look because she did all the work for you and for me!
I paired it with another new Laila face, Kyxe Skins & Shapes very newest face, this time on the Mocha skin tone. The bold colors seem to glint off the screen because of the beautiful contrast between clothing and skin choice.
The earrings I pulled from a set called Symphony Tri-Color set at Chop Zuey tied the rose tint on my lips to the rest of the outfit and added the elegant richness that always comes as a result of wearing jewelry from Chop Zuey.

I imagine you can tell I really enjoyed taking these photos. Sometimes, everything just feels right. I felt it from head to toe today, and such a sexy toe too!
The new outfit is a teal color of the set Jazzy, found at Carrie's Lingerie. Every single item from the slinkiest nightie to the most delicate wedding pieces has a special air of elegance and class to it. It's one of the reasons I love Carrie's and have since I discovered her 4 years ago. It's hard to believe the first Limited I bought was August 2011. Time flies, doesn't it!
Image Essentials Props and Poses has several items at The Black Fair including this chair that's been designed with multiple pose options built into it. The basic black and white makes it easy for you to find a place for it anywhere in your house or club.

Another Perspective -- Featuring Rapture from The Month of Games - Ms. Peacock Gown

After doing a Ms. Peacock gown yesterday, I thought it would be really interesting to put another one on today, also part of the themed event The Month of Games, from the same game, Clue - yet interpreted so differently.
Rapture went all out with sweeping beautiful peacock feathers, bold colors and a dramatic style overall. The feathers spun together for a headpiece only added to the boldness of this style. I love seeing how different artists interpret the same idea.
There are three board games represented in this Month of Games themed event. You can find Candyland, Clue and Chess, and every designer was asked to make a piece for each theme. Imagine all the ways those games could be portrayed in fashion and you get a smorgasbord of color and fun.

Down Where It's Wetter, That's Where It's Better, Take It From Me - Featuring from Summer Fashion Festival OrsiniRed, and new from Carrie's Lingerie

One of the last things I requested for blogging comes from Carrie's Lingerie. She's pumping thunder as my gramma would say, meaning, 'working quickly' and there have been several yummy releases recently. This one called Sami I chose to wear in Slate blue.
It's paired with a unique set of head pieces created by OrsiniRed for Summer Fashion Festival and gave me the very sense of under the sea. So there I went swimming, without a mermaid's tail but I'm sure if I'd had the camera at the right angle, I might have seen one.
I love the ocean. I love the world of fantasy in Second Life, where I can dream of swimming down deep in the sea and never need to take a quick breath. Dissociation from reality is one reason among many that I love Second Life. I hope you love the lingerie, and the deep sea adventure.

Thank you to these incredible designers:

A new day, a big decision and I'm off like a rocket or a rabbit or something! I know it seems like a rash decision sometimes when someone tells me this thing or that they want to change, but then again I don't know how much time they invested in their decision TO change. My decision to refocus my blog has been a long time coming. When Eve Express closed Face Paint late in 2013, I thought it would be a good time to evoke other changes. Little did I know that life had bigger changes in store for me and what had always been an annoying kidney problem was something far bigger, and more fear inducing and life changing.
I've known my kidney issue for my whole life. We're not best friends or anything, but I get it. It's as much a part of me as my ears or my toes. Cancer was not part of the plan. When it pranced into my world late last year, I went through something else, something completely different. Good news cometh! The surgery was successful, and with hopeful optimism doctors have given me little increments of time to return and see them to be sure nothing new arises, but meanwhile, I have felt better than myself than a long long time. The energy I have had the past couple of weeks felt like jolts of Dr. Frankenstein's energy pumping through my veins.
With that new found zing, I knew I was ready to finally make those changes to my blog. I'm amazingly grateful for all the designers who contributed to my blog, clothing in exchange for me doing my very best as a marketing device. I believe sincerely a designer gets a great deal of exposure through use of blogs, bloggers and social media. I have decided to respond to the ever growing popularity of events, and submitting applications to blog those events. It gives me a chance to network in the fashion industry, meet new people every month or two, and wear and style clothing from every corner of the grid. And with the new found time, I'm going to get better with the artistic style and point of view of my photograph. I want my work to leave a big 'wow.'
One of the designers I have treasured working one on one with is riri, designer for h.m.a.e.m. I learned what the initials stood for after I'd blogged her a couple of times and I just had to grin. I like it when people take life not so seriously yet make fabulous things to wear. Jeanette comes from this month's Couturier's Docks, one of h.m.a.e.m. choices of color shown in the photo with other colors to choose from when you drop by the Docks. From Summer Fashion Festival, GAALL has an outfit, Terra, from which I pulled a bracelet and earrings. Kandinsky has quality items and is relatively new to me. I've enjoyed the pieces I've been able to use, in this case, the sunglasses and matching heels, plus a red lipstick. Passionate Hearts applier from Moondance Boutique decorated my hands and I pulled a golden belt from an [AMARELO MANGA] dress (Nicole). I had some poses from KMADD that I'd not yet shared and wanted you to see that they're not just great at a few things, KMADD/Moda is superb at many many things including poses!

Wow, I'm so grateful to each of these designers:

Celebrating the Silent Beauty Of Show by Living Imagination at The Couturier's Docks, Plus New from Gaeline and Poses from KaTink

I'm certain it's the season for weddings and bliss and all things good that come to couples in love. When I read of weddings, I think of warmth and sunshine and white gowns like this one by Living Imagination called Silent Beauty Of the Snow. I didn't receive it as a dress specified for such a ceremony but it still has that feel to me. Maybe I'm just lost in the idea of love and the fun of the moment. That cannot be a bad thing! Being lost at The Couturier's Dock is never a bad thing either. There are a limited number of this gown, so you should visit soon. Many awesome designers contribute to the sale there, and each piece is special.
I went to a folder called ((Celestina's Wedding)) to see what I had that would accompany this new gown and found jewelry I don't think I've ever used; a sweet discovery indeed at any time. This jewelry set is called "Twist Chain Set" and it has a HUD that allows for all sorts of color changes, making it a dynamic set suitable for many outfits.
I put together the outfit and then looked at the great new set of poses released by KaTink Poses, the Dilan set. Sometimes pose sets are specific to a certain style of clothing, other times they're tailored to show an item off more than other items in the outfit, like a pose to display jewelry or shoes. I think the Dilan set offers a good variety of options in the set, and whether you're in a gown like I am, or wearing a casual look, the poses would work. To me, that makes them more valuable. I like flexibility of use in any item. It helps me stretch my dollar farther.
I had a great time perusing Gaeline's lashes recently. I had recommended them to a good friend because of the ease of use of the HUD. When I went to find them on Market Place, I realized there were a host of new releases I didn't own. Gasp! I had to get the new ones and have been showing them to you this week. This particular style called Stella have little gems on each lash, glamming them up a notch or two, and making them unique to the other lashes I have by Gaeline.

I hope you enjoy these designers as much as I have as I put this style together:

Liv-Glam Does Specials! -- Featuring 55L Thursday Liv-Glam; Also Featuring Bliensen+MaiTai from Fashion for Life

This is the other outfit I wanted to share today to say thank you to all the designers out there who do bargains and specials. Liv-Glam has one nearly every day of the week, so whether you're a casual clothing lover and would enjoy something like this top and shorts casual outfit, Save the Hero, one of Liv-Glam's 55L looks...
Or you like club gear, glam and elegant... if you poke into Liv-Glam during each week, you're bound to find something that suits and you might just find it at a price you have to love.
Kandinsky, a relatively new designer to me, created such a plethora of unique items for one of the recent events I did, I set aside some of the pieces so I could use them later, like now. The shoes are called Sansa Black Bootie Heels. If you're a fan of Game of Thrones, you might recognize the name. I think it might be the inspiration behind the heels. Even so, it made me think of her!
I have more to show from Fashion for Life. Bliensen+Mai Tai have several items, and this set of jewelry with color change options, called Yasemine, can be found there. Also this hair style (seen on another blog of mine) by *~Damesfly can also be found there. If you haven't been to see yet, you should!
