This morning, I woke extremely early for no apparent reason so of course I went in to see what was new, and where things were going in the month of September. Lyrical B!zarre Templates tempts you with delicious shapes and unique design for something just a little bit different for a favorite club, a fashionable party or any other reason you want to look especially dynamic in public.

This dress called Rockin', perfectly named for the Rock Your Rack event, will be available just a little longer. The partnership between the two designers at Kyxe Skins & Shapes has dissolved with each creator taking their work in different directions. From now on, I will reference items I wear related to the previous name will be called October's 4 Seasons. Skin tones, makeup, nails and other accessories are available, with the same 12 breakdown of tones. I thought the highlights of fiery tones in bold oranges made the elements of the gown pop like wildfire. My other style I want to share with you begins with a gown from !Lybra called Giovanna that can be found at Designer Showcase. The elegance of this gown made me think of all those red carpet affairs that now seem to happen year round, where everyone pauses and asks, "Who are you wearing tonight?" I'm wearing Lybra Rage. This super cool and farewell to summer look comes from a combination of items. First, you might note the high waisted skirt and the bikini top paired together. The wide eyed sunglasses come from 24 Squared. This event remains in progress, and has so many things to see and do. The designer [Z O O M] created the glasses called Narin. I've never worked with an item from this designer prior to this. It's one of many reasons I absolutely love working with events. The second set of photos I created yesterday begin with a really unique look from Lyrical B!zarre Templates. I continue to talk about how incredibly creative Lyrical Bizarre really is and then she just goes another step further with creativity.

In the photo that shows my dress all the way down to the ankles, you'll see traveling vines done in the most beautiful of autumn coloring, and it's part of the dress! There's also a neck/chest option that adds leaves around the face, but I saved that for another time so I could also showcase other items from The Instruments. Take the Time To Play - [Sympatica] from The Instruments, Analog Dog, Sensuale, and HOLLYHOOD from 24 Squared

I was in the mood for styling more than anything else yesterday. It's just so much fun to be allowed to play barbie and mix and match items that really end up making me feel like a beautiful lady. When you're someone who deals with chronic illness, being beautiful or feeling beautiful isn't always easy. Second Life lets me have that chance, so now I have two different looks to share, with items from two different events.

From The Instruments, where I shot this set of photos and the next set I'll post, renews items every month and has a wide variety of designers who participate. This Wool Jacket from [Sympatica] is one of the items. It reminded me of the Eastern items I got to style at the Japan Fair, a beautiful fierce yet soft look.

I put together this styling of Lybra's dress Christine Orange very early today and knew I wanted to post it to Versus before the fashion show this afternoon. Now I have it to share with you and my blog supporters as well.

The darling dress comes from Rock Your Rack, Danielle's Exclusive Charlotte in pink. Though it looks like layered items, it's textured to trick the eye and fits easily without having to figure out which size on which layer so you don't have things popping out where you don't want, and you have pieces that look like they flair out and it's a beautiful optical illusion. Classy design and cleverly drawn. It's beautiful. I'm not usually an all pink girl but it fit perfectly with the fundraising for Breast Cancer Research Foundation. From 24 squared, *~Damesfly*~ has a gorgeous full bodied flowing mass of hair, Shyanne. I think this is more hair than I've owned or worn in years. My hair used to be about this long off line and I recall how much work it was to keep it groomed. Isn't it wonderful how the online world allows us to skip all those little life knots and have the beauty without the work? Additionally, you will find HOLLYHOOD with two different styles of SLink compatible heels. The Kitten Heels are wooden wedges, and the other style glitters like fine diamonds with a variety of colors. Oh la la!

Opal continues to have items at Designer Showcase month after month, and each month there's something fresh and lovely, a new treasure to be had, and at the discount room, the treasure won't break your bank. Xen's Hat - the Green Beret - made me think saucy and sweet. It's easy to imagine being mischievous.  h.m.a.e.m. continues to create brilliant new shapes with a sense of joie de vivre. The mini dress Tasha has a sleek figure form, but then it plays with geometrical lines and shapes. On Changing Your Mind - Featuring Poet's Heart from Rock Your Rack, .:JUMO:. and Baubles! by Phe at 24 Squared; Also >Asset< New

The gown from Poet's Heart comes in several styles has a beautiful tropical option that I've seen blogged in several wonderful ways, and it's the 100% donation for Rock Your Rack, a fundraiser where designers like Poet's Heart contribute items and the funds go to Breast Cancer Research Foundation. I chose a different color, and when I saw one called Frozen, I had to pick it.

I read an article today about the movie, the animated full length picture from Disney animators that became an international success, grossing higher than any other Disney film yet. Some of the success, I thought, was related to the sound track and particularly the one track, "Let It Go." When the musicians for this film submitted the song, it was like a bulb turning on in the midst of a frustrating course of weeks and attempts at early writing to go with the tag boards and screen writer's concept.

After everyone heard the song, the entire movie was rewritten. The whole thing! The character Elsa was redrawn. The screen play was rewritten. The artists tag boards were rearranged, and on and on... everything changed. I often think as humans, there's some pressure on our shoulders to stick with an idea once it's spoken, and changing of minds is a 'bad idea'. Go with your gut, they say. I don't think that we're necessarily waffling or unable to commit if we feel that urgent need to change our minds. Sometimes, sure... you should stick with exactly what you've said, you've committed, you've promised, but sometimes, I think we should 'let it go' and give up everything to change. If we do, we might find ourselves living box office lives.

Shoes from .:JUMO:. fit the gown's coloring exactly. There are two colors of the Mannequin Stilettos, and both are done with the speckles and gold. These shoes can be found at 24 Squared. Also seen in this styling is the set of jewelry from Baubles! by Phe called Garden State. The green polished stone and coppery metal worked well for me, but there are other color options and metals to add to the diverse use of the set.

>Asset< created another slicked back unisex style, Leppard. As I've watched some of my favorite reality shows like So You Think You Can Dance, I've noted that hair products are coming back in a big way. It's not quite the big hair of the 80's yet, but hair stays exactly as you put it with the right goop! At least in our second lives, the goop doesn't get all over everything or make such a mess!

*One of my longer blogs, but so much to share, so many places to go...

One of those Mondays comes along now and then where you really do wake up and look outside and wish it were raining so you could easily slip back under the covers and sleep a little longer, listening to the sound of soulful droplets on the roof. It wasn't raining today but I still took my Monday really slowly, not actually 'getting up' til it was mid-afternoon. I don't have a very reliable schedule, which is why blogging really works well for me!! and never know when I'll sleep or wake. I'm at peace with the world of modeling that I've chosen and love the chance to wake up at 3 p.m. or 4 a.m. and always have something new to share.

I styled this pants suit from PurpleMoon Creations and had to message the designer. It had been ages since I'd gotten anything from her store, as I work with what's shared, and events, and each event has a different compilation of designers. I remembered why she was one of the top designers on the grid when I put her pant suit on... it's impeccable. You can find the Adele suit in black at the Rock Your Rack charity event. I styled this then went to find a location for photos and decided to go to Purple Moon's main store. While I was working, there was a gifty machine sharing items, one of which you see in my hands. What a treat. The Raspberry Clutch was one of those unexpected extras!

.:JUMO:. has an unfathomable amount of content out at different events right now, and for 24 Squared, the necklace seen in this set of photos shows one of those many pieces. It's called Believer Necklace, something that rings warmly of hope and good things. It's a little chunkier than many of the pieces I choose, but I thought it complimented the suit so well.

I love [Liv-Glam]. I'm still bamboozled to figure out how so much could possibly be created every week, week after week, for now over two years, I think. You can find pieces shared across the grid at different events, sometimes places that feature limited numbers, sometimes at charity events, sometimes at the discount shopping rooms. I found these color-change HUD heels in the goodies from Designer Showcase and fell in love. The heel has two options, that make it so versatile. On one setting, it's basically a great close toed heel for fall. The other setting adds a platform of shiny diamonds under the main shoe. It's a clever idea, offering both color change and accessory on/off. There's so much more for the money, and I love great deals!

My Substance hat from Lyrical B!zarre Templates adds a bit of flair and pulled the purple color from the heels and the soft colors around my eyes so well. The exploding flower into tiny little snippets of flower petals creates a sense of motion and adds depth to the overall look.

And last but never least, a new release from Truth, Freya, has a long french braid down the back. The hair is pulled gently away from the face. I think it softens the hard edges of an all black suit. I have been a fan of Truth since its first days as a business in SL. (Yes, I'm THAT old) It's a brand that morphs with time and all that comes with evolution of the program itself.

I love this job!

This second styling of the day, yay the weekend and I'm home!! and it's chock full of really good stuff, stuff YOU WANT to see up close and personal. First, at Rock Your Rack, opening tomorrow September 1, you'll find charitable donations from so many designers, it's incredible. I almost never change my shape for any blog. I've just been the 'Caryn' shape for so long now... and she is me. However, for charity and to support a designer I didn't know til now, here is the shape ::Circe:: from [PS].

The Blue Society dress is the first item I've ever worn from ::N2:: and can be found at 24 Squared, the event that begins September 5th and is sponsored by Siren Productions. Additionally, the nails from -{ZOZ}- are also from this event. They blend a really believable french nail style with colorful art tips, Butterfly Mesh Nails.

The Instruments begin a new month and with it comes new items like [mom ami] hair. I've never used their hair before this, and have on the new Cherly. It's very full bodied, but worked well with the more endowed shape I was wearing.

And finally, the beautiful heels peeking out from under the decorative maxi skirt come from E C R U at Designer Showcase. They're a heel with a personality all their own; you could wear them with just about any style, to a party, lunch with a friend, and you'd fit in perfectly.

I'm home! This afternoon, I slept for more than a little nap, and feel like I might catch up soon. It's amazing how much sun and surf demand of the body. Even if all you do is sit there!

A good lady, great DJ and friend also happens to create content for sale at her store, A.F.I Designs. Every now and then, she nudges my IM and asks, "Want to blog something for me?" This time, it's this unique two layer mini. The alpha layer of the top piece is shear, and the second piece is solid. Chic and very fashion now.

Siren Productions puts together awesome events every other month. I don't know how they keep up with everything. I admire the work and enjoy participating as a blogger. Once, I even got to be one of their live models. If you visit 24 Squared, you'll see great designs like the clutch here from .:JUMO:. - only one example of multiple awesome pieces JUMO has at this event by the way!

Before I went to Event Only blogging, I worked with a classy group of various designers. The jewelry set I found in my folder from Moondance Boutique says "Earth Day" set. But it's something I haven't used yet, so here is Mia Earth Set. It matched the dress perfectly. So I'm glad I discovered it.

>Asset< continues to create a very middle of the road unisex style for hair, and this Lasher hair recently released follows that formula, and would suit either gender, depending on your aesthetic and personal taste. I find that I really enjoy using men's hair, especially when it's a short style. It's often scruffier, and looks more like the hair styles that are mussed on the runway.

Fixing My Mistakes - Featuring 24 Squared With >Asset< and Blacklace; Featuring - DE Boutique from Designer Showcase

This week I've been away, on vacation, and happily soaking up the sun. Perhaps the sun addled my brain or perhaps I did that all on my own. Either way, I've had a terrible time with focus and details. I've sent apologies to the designers that were effected by my loss of focus. I'm glad they were thoughtfully forgiving. I'm glad that I'm allowed to be human and err from time to time. I'm ready, however, to get my balance once more. I'll be returning home tomorrow.

Items I have to share include two items from the 24 Squared Event that begins on September 5. It's a Siren Productions event, and will include a variety of designers including the two represented by this blog. Within the time frame, fashion shows, live models, and post show parties are scheduled.

Blacklace offered this bustier and shorts combination, along with multiple colors not showing in the photograph as part of their 24 Squared elements. The variety allows for all sorts of mixing and matching and makes it easy to style.

I thought this image would be a good way to close this blog. It's a little bit like how I feel. The Wild West event has been mentioned in a previous blog showing the Saloon Pose set. This pose comes also from IE from it's Slain set. Once in a while, when we over do it, we feel like falling out on the floor, and taking a nap... A N Y W H E R E. So I think I will.

Oh My Goodness - September Chock Full Of Fun - Rock Your Rack, 24 Squared and .PENUMBRA. Fashion Week

I can't believe how many things begin soon in our shared world. Jamee Binder, aka Jamee Sandalwood and her team of Models Giving Back have a special Rock Your Rack event beginning September 15th. Designers who share the same passion Jamee and I and many others do, to encourage support for charities that impact the entire world, will be working with Rock Your Rack to raise funds for Breast Cancer research.

Penumbra Fashion & Events launches Autumn/Winter Fashion Week September 13 and will run through September 21. A selection of incredible designers will be represented with events that occur throughout this special week. It's going to be a blast!

Siren Productions also has a September event. Yes, so much to do, so little time! Last year, it was called 24, and it was a smashing success. I loved being able to participate in it, and so many others must have as well because this year, they're calling it 24 Squared. Exponentially greater numbers of participants, events, limited editions and more make this year's 24 that much better! Mark Your Calendars!
