Just Around the Corner - The Skin Fair Is Coming - Featuring NEW October's 4Seasons @ Skin Fair; Featuring NEW [SWANK] !CST Designs, Moondance Boutique & {Ana Markova}

I'm excited to share news with you about the 2016 Skin Fair. In just three short days, you'll find so many new skins and makeup and other accessories from designers all around the grid. This year, aside from making some amazing new products exclusive to this event, October's 4Seasons sponsors the whole thing. Catalina is the new beauty showcased in the event and the skin I'm modeling here Catalina Lily is one of the many options you'll find.
A new round of [SWANK] tantalizes the most diverse interests with items like the new heels from !CST Designs, the black pumps with a bow. Also I'm wearing a new pants suit called Solstice Abstract from {Ana Markova} and new earrings and bracelet from Moondance Boutique. This month's theme "Luck Of the Irish" brings out the best in every designer participating in the event.

**Special note** The designer behind Moondance Boutique expects a new bundle of beauty, a baby girl. She's experiencing some of life's more difficult moments and I encourage you to help in some small way. It's very difficult to have to choose between health and a pay check. Moondance Boutique and Kathrin Dassin always thanks every person who supports the adventure, but ever more so as she prepares for the new arrival in her world. Thank you for being a special part of her world.

One of the many lovely new releases by Lyrical Bizarre Templates is this top and skirt with intricate details added for a refined beauty. The headpiece, flora around the top and flora around the skirt come separately. In the fabric itself, the skirt reflects the flora design subtly. Pieces can be worn to adorn other outfits as well. It's a gorgeous start to a new year. This outfit was created for Ferosh Fashion Weekend and kicks off 2016 in high style.

Dancing In A New Month -- Featuring Lybra from Designer Showcase, Featuring Loordes of London from The Instruments

After dancing the first day of November into existence with a few friends and patrons of Lybra, hanging out with the designers, Lybra Rage and Natzuka, I had to write about the new gown from their amazing array of art they create. This Olympia gown may be bought at Designer Showcase and though it's almost pure white, with the feather boa for the shoulders, and sleeves that are long, you'll be able to wear this any season, for holiday celebrations, or just to hang out and dance a new month into existence.
The shoes peeking out from under the gown come from Loordes of London, and can be bought this month at The Instruments. You'll find these heels along with several other styles, plus other items as well, so a visit will be worth your time!
I have to make a quick comment about the Angelina series of skins from October's 4Seasons. These skins compete graphically with the best skins on the grid. Period. They offer every option you might seek, for attachments, appliers, and mesh. There are different brow shapes, and stunning makeup that October creates each time she makes a new skin tone. She's taking the 'Seasons' theme, that will help you choose the right skin AND the right outfits and hair and other elements of your avi, to a new level and making sure you know when you're wearing what season, and educating in a positive way in the process. The last thing I have to say, the skins that are not the traditional pale, cream and tan, the ones that exemplify a native heritage like Indian cultures from India and Indian cultures from the Americas, a beautiful array of dark skins that could be from the vastness that is Africa or the indigenous people of Australia, those skin tones are better than any other designer makes them in my opinion, and not because I get paid to say so or because she's a sisterfriend. It's simply truth. If you haven't tried an October's 4Seasons skin, you should. They hold up under any lighting, at low or ultra level graphics, and on any runway. They're also awesome for the everyday Second Life girl who's looking for the best on the market. Angelina Milk and Walnut are sold at The Couturier's Docks, just a little longer, and limited supply. If you visit the main store, you'll find a new group gift just set out last night, and new releases of Angelina, makeup, and more. I do adore October, or as I affectionately nicknamed her Ms. Oooo. I also admire her business acumen and her incredible talented artistry. You will too.

The Witches Warn -- Something Wicked This Way Comes -- Featuring Chop Zuey and !Lybra! From The Instruments

The scene opens, and a fearsome group of witches chant and prophecy, whispering words in an Olde English tongue, and MacBeth enters. One of the great stories of William Shakespeare, and fraught with all the excitement of earthly gasp and second-worldly wisdom, inspires this new set of jewelry from Chop Zuey. Thank you Belle for making more than jewelry. You always have a story to share, a tale to tell, and an adventure for us to take with you when we wear your ingenious pieces.
Second Witch:
"By the pricking of my thumbs,
Something wicked this way comes.
Open, locks,
Whoever knocks."
Karina by Lybra made me smile because during the years I took Russian in college, I had to sign my name КАРИНА - which when translated to the alphabet more of us recognize, Karina. There are a thousand ways to make something flexible and something traditional in Second Life clothing design, but it at times feels like only two or three ways may be used by many. When I put on this dress, there were layers of skirt that moved with unique flair, something fresh and different, around a sweetheart bodice, and I loved it. I really enjoy the artistry of the fashion industry, and when artists like those behind the name Lybra create a gown, I know it's not just another gown but something special.

Celebrating Its Second Birthday - Featuring !Lyrical B!zarre Templates

After the absolute thrill of working with Jamee two nights ago, another wonderful lady and friend greeted me at the beginning of this day with a misty eyes because of her thoughtfulness and ideas. Lyrical B!zarre Templates celebrates its Second birthday and as part of her celebration, she has some of her bloggers and friends photos up in a gallery that might resemble some of the art galleries you've seen in world but in this case, it's photos of her pieces, from different collections, different points of view, and she put up two of my photos, thus came the misty eyes. I had to head over to her gallery after reading her note.
(**By the way, any designer, any time, if I've blogged your item and/or put it on Flickr, you have my permission to reblog, keep the photo and import into SL, use on your website, etc. I take all my own pictures except when Ms. Oooo does, so I ask you give me credit as photog and model, and I hope they encourage consumers to visit your stores, to participate in your events, and overall enhance the Second Life experience.)
While we were both there, I asked her if she'd consider posing with me, so I could have her photo. I'd already styled and shot the first two photos seen here and was on the verge of stripping and starting again when I saw her note regarding the art gallery and 2nd Birthday. It should be open to the public by this weekend and meanwhile, there are ALWAYS new treats at LBT for you to buy, and all over the grid as well, for events, sales, and more.
I try to put her clothing together with other items, shoes, hair, and all that jazz, but change the look of the item slightly, and I do it for a reason. It's fun to repurpose items, but beyond that, her store caters to the designers out there who don't make their own mesh and want to buy full perm designs to use for their own business. I think by editing the items from her store that I blog, I show at least one more way you can play with her work, and make it unique to your tastes.

Happy Birthday to Lyrical Bizarre and many more to come.

What Is An Imaginarium? -- Featuring Whimsical Imaginarium, Lindy's from Designer Showcase, [Z O O M], and Moondance Boutique

I haven't done photos like this for a long time but as a part of something I offered to do for the new Whimsical Imaginarium I decided to go ahead and snap a photo of each dress, and each color option. They're similar but each have their own stylistic flair and fun about them.

Colorful Circles use a snug sweetheart neckline and a blossoming tulip shape upturned for the skirt. Each of the skirts have the same pattern containing the Daffodil, the Lavendar and the Rose hues in the bodice of each dress, but each skirt has it's own character.
Colorful Edges begins with the slimming shape of a tube dress. A skirt with lots of movement flairs around the lower calf in a mermaid-like shape. Additionally, there are bows you can wear at the middle of the back and at the back of the knee to offer even more shape and color options.
Colorful Waves takes a similar tube shape dress and adds skirting on both sides of the hips that reminds me of the shape of bustles by adding volume to the hips and back side. Additionally, you'll find the circle of roses around the hips adds a delicate refined beauty option.
Since all of these gowns are created by the same designer and use the same color palette, you could mix and match the bows and skirts to get many different unique shapes and make the gowns all your own.

I found some nail appliers I didn't know were hidden among jewels I'd shown you another time. Thank you Moondance Boutique! The nails were called something so close to the WI gowns - Colored Lines. How curious, yes?!
Lindy continues to create colorful heels to go with this very colorful fall. In one of the series of photos, the one with the Colorful Waves gowns on it, you can see Karli heels peeking under the skirt in the brilliant pink that so wonderfully suited the three different gown series.

I pulled hair from a box as well, like a magician, not realizing the rabbit was still in there? I don't know. It seems to happen a little more often (and joyfully so... everyone likes pulling on a pair of jeans that has a 5 dollar bill in the pocket!!) because I'm doing more events and the participants add all sorts of items to their entries. ::No:Shade:: created this braided ponytail and even has an option to wear if you like earnestly inflated chest sizes!

I rarely use shades or purse/clutches. I think it's a residual thing from my world off line and items I use and items I don't even own. I don't own a single pair of shades. However, when I pulled out [Z O O M]'s glasses, they really felt 'just right' for my look, with all three gowns, so I went for it. And the clutch in my hand, it also felt right and goes to show, an old girl can learn new tricks from time to time!

Got Milk? - More Milk - Featuring On A Lark from The Promenade, {{BSD Design Studio}} and Moondance Boutique at Designer Showcase

Working on and playing with the Got Milk campaign for the newest skin tone to be added to October's 4Seasons Skins & Accessories. Angelina, the newest face, will be released at the Couturier's Docks next rotation.
Every skin tone, every face, each better than the one before it, fits every human need and perhaps a few who come from the regions of magic and mysticism.
I put On A Lark Corset and Gloves from The Promenade over one of Carrie's Lingerie Group Gift releases for a layered sensual, almost naughty look. Wouldn't you like to know what's going on in my mind? ^^ BSD Design studio released new heels that are SLink compatible. I'm excited to share Global Citizen with you.

And for a slim brilliant bit of jewelry to accentuate, I used Moondance Boutique's recent addition to Designer Showcase, a jewelry set called Rose To Cancer. The long mesh tresses from Truth Hair called Zoella really works miraculously to keep with the sexy sleek look, yet covers bits perfectly.

24 Squared Officially Open!! - Lybra Exclusive, .:JUMO:., and Moondance Boutique - All From 24 Squared; Truth New Release and Kyxe Skins & Shapes New Too

I put together this styling of Lybra's dress Christine Orange very early today and knew I wanted to post it to Versus before the fashion show this afternoon. Now I have it to share with you and my blog supporters as well.
All sorts of great items are available for you at 24 Squared. The event has exclusives, limiteds, hunt items and more fun to be had. There will be shows and parties too, so stay tuned. I wore Moondance Boutique's newest nails from 24 Squared, the Duel Colored Angle Nails. Jewelry from .:JUMO:., the Consort Set, caught my eye and I knew it would go well with this outfit, and it also was from 24 Squared.
Designer Showcase revolves monthly with new items, new businesses at times, and always new deals. Paige Wedge heels with a color HUD that allows them to be multiple colors come from [Liv-Glam] along with other pieces special to be found ONLY at Designer Showcase. I have the next in the series of 12 skin tones from Kyxe Skins & Shapes on, wearing Pearl Skin Tone Laila.
Each of the 12 tones will have their own Laila face by the time the full release has occurred. Check back often, because items are updated, improved, and gifts appear from time to time too. New SLink appliers will be available over the weekend. I love Truth Hair. I have since I was a baby, a newbie in an aweinspiring world.
He's one of those designers, the man behind the business, who maintains connection to his store and his people day in and day out in a classy way, always improving, always making the best of every moment, and impressively doing so for more years than even I've been a part of Second Life.

Stay Classy and Visit -- Featuring Purple Moon at Rock Your Rack, .:JUMO:. at 24 Squared, [LG] Boutique at Designer Showcase, Truth and !Lyrical B!zarre Templates

*One of my longer blogs, but so much to share, so many places to go...

One of those Mondays comes along now and then where you really do wake up and look outside and wish it were raining so you could easily slip back under the covers and sleep a little longer, listening to the sound of soulful droplets on the roof. It wasn't raining today but I still took my Monday really slowly, not actually 'getting up' til it was mid-afternoon. I don't have a very reliable schedule, which is why blogging really works well for me!! and never know when I'll sleep or wake. I'm at peace with the world of modeling that I've chosen and love the chance to wake up at 3 p.m. or 4 a.m. and always have something new to share.
I styled this pants suit from PurpleMoon Creations and had to message the designer. It had been ages since I'd gotten anything from her store, as I work with what's shared, and events, and each event has a different compilation of designers. I remembered why she was one of the top designers on the grid when I put her pant suit on... it's impeccable. You can find the Adele suit in black at the Rock Your Rack charity event. I styled this then went to find a location for photos and decided to go to Purple Moon's main store. While I was working, there was a gifty machine sharing items, one of which you see in my hands. What a treat. The Raspberry Clutch was one of those unexpected extras!
.:JUMO:. has an unfathomable amount of content out at different events right now, and for 24 Squared, the necklace seen in this set of photos shows one of those many pieces. It's called Believer Necklace, something that rings warmly of hope and good things. It's a little chunkier than many of the pieces I choose, but I thought it complimented the suit so well.

I love [Liv-Glam]. I'm still bamboozled to figure out how so much could possibly be created every week, week after week, for now over two years, I think. You can find pieces shared across the grid at different events, sometimes places that feature limited numbers, sometimes at charity events, sometimes at the discount shopping rooms. I found these color-change HUD heels in the goodies from Designer Showcase and fell in love. The heel has two options, that make it so versatile. On one setting, it's basically a great close toed heel for fall. The other setting adds a platform of shiny diamonds under the main shoe. It's a clever idea, offering both color change and accessory on/off. There's so much more for the money, and I love great deals!

My Substance hat from Lyrical B!zarre Templates adds a bit of flair and pulled the purple color from the heels and the soft colors around my eyes so well. The exploding flower into tiny little snippets of flower petals creates a sense of motion and adds depth to the overall look.

And last but never least, a new release from Truth, Freya, has a long french braid down the back. The hair is pulled gently away from the face. I think it softens the hard edges of an all black suit. I have been a fan of Truth since its first days as a business in SL. (Yes, I'm THAT old) It's a brand that morphs with time and all that comes with evolution of the program itself.

Friends, Fun, Events and More -- Featuring A.F.I Designs, Moondance Boutique, Designer Showcase w/Lindy and 24 Squared w/.:JUMO:.

I'm home! This afternoon, I slept for more than a little nap, and feel like I might catch up soon. It's amazing how much sun and surf demand of the body. Even if all you do is sit there!

A good lady, great DJ and friend also happens to create content for sale at her store, A.F.I Designs. Every now and then, she nudges my IM and asks, "Want to blog something for me?" This time, it's this unique two layer mini. The alpha layer of the top piece is shear, and the second piece is solid. Chic and very fashion now.
Siren Productions puts together awesome events every other month. I don't know how they keep up with everything. I admire the work and enjoy participating as a blogger. Once, I even got to be one of their live models. If you visit 24 Squared, you'll see great designs like the clutch here from .:JUMO:. - only one example of multiple awesome pieces JUMO has at this event by the way!
Before I went to Event Only blogging, I worked with a classy group of various designers. The jewelry set I found in my folder from Moondance Boutique says "Earth Day" set. But it's something I haven't used yet, so here is Mia Earth Set. It matched the dress perfectly. So I'm glad I discovered it.

>Asset< continues to create a very middle of the road unisex style for hair, and this Lasher hair recently released follows that formula, and would suit either gender, depending on your aesthetic and personal taste. I find that I really enjoy using men's hair, especially when it's a short style. It's often scruffier, and looks more like the hair styles that are mussed on the runway.

Fixing My Mistakes - Featuring 24 Squared With >Asset< and Blacklace; Featuring - DE Boutique from Designer Showcase

This week I've been away, on vacation, and happily soaking up the sun. Perhaps the sun addled my brain or perhaps I did that all on my own. Either way, I've had a terrible time with focus and details. I've sent apologies to the designers that were effected by my loss of focus. I'm glad they were thoughtfully forgiving. I'm glad that I'm allowed to be human and err from time to time. I'm ready, however, to get my balance once more. I'll be returning home tomorrow.

Items I have to share include two items from the 24 Squared Event that begins on September 5. It's a Siren Productions event, and will include a variety of designers including the two represented by this blog. Within the time frame, fashion shows, live models, and post show parties are scheduled.
Blacklace offered this bustier and shorts combination, along with multiple colors not showing in the photograph as part of their 24 Squared elements. The variety allows for all sorts of mixing and matching and makes it easy to style.
>Asset< and this slicked back hairstyle, offers this exclusive Vono Megapack at 24 Squared and only then, will you be able to purchase it. It will not be in stores after the event. Also, a limit of 25 per color and 25 fatpacks will be sold, and then they will be gone for good. If you love it, you should haste to grab it while the gettins' good.
I thought this image would be a good way to close this blog. It's a little bit like how I feel. The Wild West event has been mentioned in a previous blog showing the Saloon Pose set. This pose comes also from IE from it's Slain set. Once in a while, when we over do it, we feel like falling out on the floor, and taking a nap... A N Y W H E R E. So I think I will.

If you haven't visited Designer Showcase yet this month, you should soon. The month is nearly over and then... it will be time for new ideas, items and more fun, of course!

Rock Your Rack and Rock Some More -- Featuring Nya's Closet at RYR, Plus New From no. 7 and !Lyrical B!zarre Templates!

Do you ever find yourself pausing and remembering that this is supposed to be fun? Once in a while, I realize that I'm getting ultra serious about everything, every deadline, every need here and there. I want to be professional and I want to retain my 'good name'. Those are both important. But I think one of the reasons we spend any time online (or anywhere else in our life) is to have fun.
When I created the look that went with this eccentric dress, one of Nya's Shop exclusives from Rock Your Rack, I deliberately went over the top. I was thinking about the vibrant colors of Tokyo fashion and how the world really feels so small when we interact online with one another but it's so huge when we're thinking of the distance from Tinyville SC to Tokyo, and all the wild and wonderful things the world offers beyond my front door.
I have a new head piece from Lyrical B!zarre Templates as well as new makeup from no. 7. With a compilation of all the things, the world spinning till it becomes a rainbow of brilliant color, shining brighter and brighter, I was really glad to tap into that fun moment and share this sneak peek to the Rock Your Rack Event.
Please mark your calendar for September 1 thru September 15 to shop for content created just so we can raise money to find a cure for breast cancer. There are donation jars all over the sim where this event will take place and there's an online option to donate directly found here:

Beautiful At Sunset -- Featuring Morphine and Kyxe Skins & Shapes

I had fun with photos and lighting and backdrops and more today. It's rare that I do three blogs in one day AND post one of them to Versus, so it feels like an awesome day. This gown comes from a designer that used to be called [Mirror's Enigma] but has since rebranded and now calls herself SL - Morphine.
I know her as a skin designer, and she's talented! She sent me this pretty gown, that has the option of being a dark blue (shown in the photos) a dark red or a black. If you don't know Ydreece Forester, she's someone worth meeting and her designs are made with talent and a whole lot of heart. That's the best sort to me. I was grateful she thought to send me one of her new releases.
The other thing I'm happy to show you is the next in the series of the new FACE at Kyxe Skins & Shapes - Laila in the skin tone Blossom! One of many reasons why I adore Kyxe's products is the amount of work that goes into each skin release. You'll find a number of options, with hair base, without, with teeth, without, with light brow, with darker brow, and on and on... these things make every Linden you invest go further and the quality of each new skin FACE shows the craft of the designer partners as it develops betterer and betterer.

Basic Polish nails and Moondance Boutique beautiful necklace that has a gorgeous chain in front and also drapes elegantly in back. Since you can't see the back in these photos, I'll use the necklace another time this month to share.
--- Longer Note Follows -- Featuring Heroes and Wicca Merlin Specifically

I celebrate heroes who have impacted my life in a variety of ways. I do this in an internet/virtual world sort of way and also in the world away from the net. These heroes have come along at times in my world where I really needed them, where they really exemplified quality and character, love and compassion, intelligence and direction. These heroes helped create the me that I am today and I know that because life is ever evolving, I haven't met the last hero who will influence my life yet, and I hope I don't for a very long time.

I know she doesn't have a FB name, but she probably has numerous friends and followers and supporters who do know her via this medium. I know she has more on her blog (I'll share her links below) and more in the world we share in Second Life because she's a dynamic model, educator, blogger and above all, friend. Today, I have on some of her items and every time I wear something from Wicca's Wardrobe, I try to think like a Wicca.

Wicca Merlin offers a perspective in modeling that changed the face of pretty in Second Life. She took her sense of self, sense of aesthetic, sense of style and then embodied it. I don't know if she's ever won awards for her amazing work. I do know that I've heard her speak several times and have taken classes where she was the educator. Every time I've been in her company, I've learned something new.

When I say I try to think like Wicca, there's a catch. The thing is, I think that Wicca asserts her will and desire to be different, to break the mold, to do what feels most like self, and though she respects the middle ground, the norm, the whatever many people might call modeling, she acknowledges, and then does what works for her. Thinking like Wicca then means to me... thinking like a me. I see influences all around me. I love a few bloggers and acknowledge their influence. I've had some amazing educators and friends who've helped. Ultimately though, I had to figure out Caryn. I think maybe Wicca might have been the most instrumental in my world related to that topic.

Even if you're new to Miss Virtual World Modeling Academy and you're taking your first class, 101 and you happen to get Ms. Wicca, who will apologize profusely for not speaking English well and then speak it brilliantly for the next hour or so, you will likely see and hear what I mean. Who is this off beat, wonderfully unusual person teaching this class? Am I in the right place? Just because she doesn't look like your canned version of model doesn't mean she's not a great model. I hope many people have a chance to know her, and in that, I hope they have also a chance to know self. If you see that she's speaking somewhere, you should go and listen. And now, because she wasn't already busy enough in SL fashion, she owns her own store and it's awesome too!

Fairytales Can Come True; They Can Happen To You -- Featuring Sabra Style, {{BSD Design Studio}} and Wicca's Wardrobe

What a difference a day makes. I'm not one who gets too tied into a specific day because I've had health issues that were indiscriminatory as the good or not so good days happened every day, special days, regular day, it didn't matter. It means I grew up learning to be flexible and also to make the best of the good moments so that when another dark valley swooped in for a few weeks or days or months, I'd have something warm and wonderful stored up in memory, close to my heart; I used those positive memories to support me. This week was part of our annual beach trip. In recent years, I've traveled and stayed in one place for two weeks consecutively. Unfortunately, the military status and leave and all that jazz is slightly different at the moment, so I'm at Myrtle this week and this time next month, I'll be at Taibee Island Georgia. I love getting away from the same four walls, even when I'm not in the best of health or head space. I also know it helps my sweetheart. I was unplugged for a bit more than 24 hours this year, just to make sure he knew he was the heart and soul of my life, and nothing was more important than him and his special day. We ate well, played well, went to see the One Show tonight, and then he's snoring and I'm writing briefly to each of you on Facebook.
It's never too late to keep up with family and friends. It's never too late to have a small vacation. An actress on one of the day time talk shows commented about making time for 'me parties'. She just put on her favorite pj's, had wine, listened to her favorite music and even danced. Sometimes we need a me party and sometimes, like today, I needed a we party. I think he does an amazing job of taking care of the details. My thought patters get terribly crossed, and not intentionally so. But when I can put aside my needs and stresses that I seem to heap on his head, I think he really does try to relax and enjoy a day all about him.
I had fun the day before yesterday putting this latest 'spy girl' look. Once dressed, I thought about the story of Black Bart and his cronies who were trying to come across the back yard of the little fella on A Christmas Story. The traditional mask paired with the black and white stripes of prison uniforms in that time period. I could have snuck away with something. I'm just not sure what I would want to take. I'd make a very bad cat burglar. I'm sure I'd sit and enie-meanie-minie-moe and my partners in crime would shake there heads and whisper as loud a whisper as possible, "Let's Go Karyn!" The Tori gown in black and white and encircled at the ankles with mounds of dark swan feathers comes from Sabra Style. The mask comes from the always clever Wicca Merlin at Wicca's Wardrobe. You'll notice a small pink bag, over the shoulder. From BSD Design studio, this bag comes with color change options on a HUD allowing you to make it suit any style and interest.

All the joy of this blog and style come as a result of a compilation of talented designers:

Summer Fashion Festival (Last Day): ArisAris and Blue Couture - Designer Showcase: [Opal] and Moondance Boutique - Plus Zibska and KANDINSKY

Today marks the last day of the summer fun event, Summer Fashion Festival and I've two more items to show you from there before the day ends. If you'll notice, there's a simple black dress with white dots as the basic element of my styling. The dress is ArisAris, and its simplicity with just a few fine details like those around the bust are one reason I enjoyed this dress despite the fact that it looks similar to many I have worn. The accessories I used are from Blue Couture, and they were designed to accompany a night gown / lingerie set. Instead I pulled one of the feathered arm pieces, the unique belted posture collar and the belt and added them to spice up the dress.
Designer Showcase runs a month at a time and always brings new designers to the table, as well as providing a great venue for more well known designers to offer special prices and expose new faces to their great quality items. This styling includes items from two different jewelers, both with several pieces at Designer Showcase July. Moondance Boutique's Gaia earrings shine just a bit and lit my cheek up just a smidge when I was standing with the sun setting. It was a neat lighting effect. The ring comes in several color options from [Opal] and worked well into my shades of grey styling.

Zibska made this 'ball and chain' type hat for an event that occurred recently and I had not quite figured out when to use it. I almost used a different hat, but my sweetheart who's been home all weekend and thus eyes over my shoulder at times asked me, "Why would you wear a flower pot on your head?" So instead of explaining to him that it was couture and sexy ~grin~ I went through my box of hats that I haven't blogged yet and asked, "This one?" about 11 times before he said, "Yes!" So Zibska, like the judges on all these reality shows say, "You made it through." The hat's name is Sadie Noir. I just think it looks a bit like the old ball and chain used in some movies to represent poor old married folks, and in this case, the ball and chain helped me make a decision for this styling, so with tongue in cheek, yay!
I still have an array of items from KANDINSKY that I want to show. They're also from an event that concluded recently but I couldn't bear to through them away as they seem to mirror some of my favorite items from Game of Thrones, and for that alone, they get a bit longer in my inventory before I separate and discard, and low and behold, the Willow heels for SLink mid-high feet fit this style exactly! With all the puzzle pieces together, I really loved the overall look. Black and white stay in style every season. I promise to make the next blog POP with color but this time, shades of grey won the day.

So many great designers are represented here. Thanks to each of you!

All Dressed Up and No Place To Go! -- Featuring from Summer Fashion Festival ArisAris and ::EGO, News from Moondance Boutique and Mimi Noire

I think photos often tell the viewer just how much fun the person in the photo had while taking them. That's certainly true in this playful pair of photos. I found the youthful energy playing on the dress and carried it through the rest of the look. The dress comes from ArisAris at the Summer Fashion Festival. You'll also find the moccasins at SFF, created by ::EGO. If you look at the little girl on the front of the yellow dress, you'll notice long string hair. I could make MY hair match hers... so I set to work creating a little head of string hair for my avi. I think it came out preciously, and paired with a bow recently released by no. 7 from the Pop Art Headbows series, it was perfect; it's not quite the girl on the dress but it's pretty darn close.
I also pulled some mesh nails from Moondance Boutique and thought they would suit the overall look well. Moondance has done a great job of providing nails of several different kinds so that no matter what format you exist in on your day to day Second Life, one of their nail options works for you. There are basic prim nails, mesh nails and there are also SLink appliers for SLink hands. This set of nails is called Pearls. If you look carefully, up close and personal-like, you might notice that the earrings look as if they were made to be worn with everything else I have on... and the irony is, while I was looking for something else in my endlessly chaotic inventory, I found these earrings instead of the other pair and loved them. Mimi Noire makes quality products that you'll use and reuse often.
I think I've done all the wiggles and squirms necessary to catch a man's eyes, but maybe they're too wiggly or too squirmy. Alas! My life in Second Life is destined to be lived out alone and pining for someone to share it with, someone who wants to get involved in fashion and share the passion I have for the whole of it, from the design process to the marketing to every other detail. So far, I have the cute clothes, the sexy, the hawt, and everything else possible. I'm just missing one key detail, for things like a date. (Huh? People still go on dates?) or maybe I'll meet someone who wants to come up to my place - gack he really doesn't - for a cup of coffee that really is coffee and not a euphemism for quick sex. I'm sure it's out there, just looming, looking my way. Who's going to lassoo him for me!?

None of this would be possible without support from each designer AND each of you!

Sadly Saying Farewell To FFL 2014 -- Featuring Baboom! from Fashion For Life, Tchelo's from Summer Fashion Festival; New from Liv-Glam, Gaeline and KMADD/Moda

I'm always just a little sad when an event comes to its end but today, it's just a little more sad than the usual. Fashion For Life has run since the beginning of June and tonight, it closes its doors. I believe it's been a successful endeavor to raise money for the Relay For Life/American Cancer Society that are both at the heart of the Fashion For Life project.
I have a sailor's dress and cap from Baboom! that made me smile. I was in the US Navy and remember those caps the boys wore well. In dungarees and boondockers, those hats were so very NOT a fashion statement, but with this cute outfit, Kyra Camel hit it out of the park, and the hat add a saucy playful note to the overall aesthetic. This is the last item I saved to blog for FFL.
In addition, I have a new purse by Tchelo's from Summer Fashion Festival, great SLink related heels from Liv-Glam new this week for sale, brand new released lashes from Gaeline and one of the hair styles I've not yet shown you from KMADD/Moda. The array of new items from around the grid fit together like that 'playing Barbie' puzzle that I love about blogging! I hope you enjoy.

It's not too late to contribute to the Fashion For Life fundraiser. You can go to the sim, or go to their website: http://main.acsevents.org/site/TR?px=37321408&fr_id=61576&pg=personal

Thank you to all the designers who contributed to this look and made this blog possible:
