I went late late last night to the party Mr. Marcus announced for those who didn't want to be alone at Christmas. It was far too late to find party goers but I did have the pleasure of marveling at the beautiful layout and decor of the club. I felt like a little girl tiptoeing around the house after the grown-ups had turned out the lights and tucked everyone in bed. It was beautiful.
I've only begun to know Mr. Lefevre... and the more I know of him and the more I know him, the more I realize how he's impacted others' lives. It's truly a treat and a blessing, something you couldn't wrap and tuck under a tree, but a gift nonetheless. Baoba created this adorable hat made of poinsettias and ornamentation called "Rudolf" for The Couturier's Docks.
The new sweat and mini skirt set, which I love love love for the details and quality of content is from [FLRN] and can be purchased at their Winter Event and NOYA sent out a set of gifties to loyal customers (in my opinion she does far too much but I'm grateful for those gifts) and this box included some snowflake type lashes. The party had ended, and the whole place silent as I stood between the gilded golden tree and the silver grand piano, and I still soaked in that spirit of the holidays. I hope yours is blessed, whatever your faith, wherever you are in this great wild world.

Shu Shu Complete Outfit For Peace On Earth 7, POE 7, PosESioN For Peace On Earth 7 Also
This morning I have two new photos to share with new items from POE 7. I wore parts of this outfit last night for a photo shoot and I literally can't wait to see what the final photo looks like. It was so much fun. Thank you much to Ms. Natzuka. The outfit has layers and pieces that suit the hipster look this year. The only thing that took me a bit of time was how to layer the sizes so everything showed correctly in the end. My avis generally wear a M, but to layer, I had to start with XS under layers and build up... just a hint because I'm nice like that.
New poses are at PosESioN also, a set of three called 'Mother', also seen in the pictures.

Chop Zuey Girl Live Contest Day 1 -- Featuring Nya's Shop
It was a lot of fun to put together this outfit last night. I was preparing to work at Chop Zuey but even more so, I wanted to wear something new and awesome to the Chop Zuey Girl first live contest this morning.
I pulled together a dress from Nya's Shop called Happy Dress Sangria, sold at this month's rotation for The Instruments The event. I just bought the hair as well, new from Truth Hair called Aida.
My heart beats a little faster when I try to find pieces from Chop Zuey, play with them to repurpose, relocate or use as a different type of jewelry, and in this case, I took a set of bracelets and used one as a choker.

Are You Ready For Holidays? -- Featuring Sabra Style, -LOUX- and E C R U from Designer Showcase; Featuring Zibska and PosESioN from The Instruments
Some years, I truly struggle with the emotion of the holidays and by November 3, I'm buried somewhere down deep inside myself and bracing for the storm of the supposed "HAPPY" holidays that sometimes seem so far away from reality. It's something significant and not something only I struggle with, so I hope as you read this, if you know others who do, you might be a breath of gentle air, a warm hug, a cup of hot cider, a blessing of hope, and then just wait, and be there, because those of us who've learned how to hibernate through emotional seasons also wake. They'll want you there when they do wake and they will remember your touch and heart while they couldn't respond to you.
So I went over to a Winter Sim and found some precious displays and this little snowman standing in his own huge snowfall caught my eye. I know it's a bit early to think of Merry Christmas, but it's not too early to think of love, a love to touch the whole world, regardless of faith, and peace, enough to spread like a fire, and bring a calmness like the snow to every single of the 8 billion souls you'll find out there this year.
I'm wearing a new Charisma gown in red from Kylie Sabra at Sabra Style. You'll also find E C R U Ritz Heels and this bold yet elegant luscious new lipstick from -LOUX- both at Designer Showcase
, excellent deals, and every new month that passes brings multiple reasons to return to enjoy this sale venue. Also, new Zibska Kelda jewely and the poses I used from PosESioN come from The Instruments event, for the November rotation.
Lots of beauty, and a breathless dream of hope and love and joy for each of you as we do brace for winter together.

Touching the World Via Charity -- Focusing on DEbRA -- Featuring Asili Ya Uzuri from the Event and Also Featuring Exile
As you know, I'm passionate about charities and find the ability to touch the world via a Second Life, virtual world, where I can make a difference means a lot to me, makes me feel healthier than otherwise I would, and appeals to me on so many levels emotionally.
This late fall, a very passionate woman, Cerise Emory, a woman who's name off line is Karen and a name recognized by many in the off world application of how, when, where, one might get involved with the disease she's elevating notice of and sharing understanding. This late October, DEbRA comes into Second Life as her very special project. You can visit the website that raises money and awareness of The Dystrophic Epidermolysis Bullosa Research Associate of America - debra.org --
Please get involved if you can, buy items from the designers who've joined forces to help Cerise with her fundraiser in world, and all the work she lives and breathes off line, touching those very needy children in any way she could possibly do. I admire her passion and compassion.

Bright Bits -- Featuring Chop Zuey, Bits By Blue at The Promenade, and [LG] Boutique
I'm not exactly sure how I did it but as I set up for windlight and other settings, I ended up with photos that make it look like the upper line of this sweetheart dress sparkled. Instead, it's a well constructed texture that catches the light in a lovely way, no matter day or night, so you can wear it everyone and feel beautiful every time you do. Sympathique was an interesting name for a gown and a gorgeous one at that from [LG] Boutique this week. An option to wear the fluffy skirting or not to wear is truly a great one in this case, because the print goes all the way down the gown if you prefer to wear it as a sleeve sleek and sexy gown without flexi.
Attention Whore could be a negative thing, unless it's the name of huge, chic earrings from Chop Zuey. These are probably the longest earrings I've donned in a long time. I decided not to wear a necklace between it allowed for those long earrings to go all the way down til they barely graced the shoulders. Sexy!
On the right wrist and hand, a pair of items from Bits by Blue show another set provided to The Promenade as part of a Gacha set. All of those Gacha addicts need to scoot over and see what's new. Great designers have joined together and no matter where you turn, you'll see something you want desperately. Bits by Blue is just a kickstart to get you over there!
If you enter just the word Garden into SL's search feature, there are some really lovely places to visit, and perspectives on gardening that end up showing gardens from around the world. After visiting the gardens at The Lefevre Mansion, gardens that cover so much area and offer a little of this and that as you meander down the paths, I'm spoiled! These were taken on one little curve of the trail.

Who Is Effie Trinket? -- Featuring Baboom Couture from The Hunger Games, Loordes of London from Designer Showcase, [White-Widow] and ***Feel***
When Kyra nudged me yesterday, asking if I wanted to blog the new outfit Effie that she'd created for The Hunger Games, I was all excited. I really wanted to blog an outfit or two from that series of movies, and Effie is so so sooo over the top. It helped pull my gentle little elegant self out of the box I keep close at hand most of the time.
Baboom Couture keeps a current edge on an ever changing definition of chic. When I met Kyra maybe two years ago now (where does time go?!), she made me smile when she asked, if I would like to blog news for Baboom. The answer was and has always been since then a resounding "YES!" show me the news.
The really cute wedge sandals from Designer Showcase come in several different color leather and wood combinations and for a summer come fall look, they suited just wonderfully well. [White-Widow] creates some of the most unique makeup pieces I've found as I shopped. I first discovered it at Couturier's Docks, and since then have bookmarked their main store.

I Need a Hero -- Featuring Wicca's Wardrobe at Gypset; Moondance Boutique, Lindy Shoes and -{ZOZ}- at Designer Showcase, and h.m.a.e.m. at Trempe
I have the jacket from her Nancy Tux on, along with the handbag for the same outfit. These items have been available at Gypset, until the end of July, so hurry! You'll also note new items from h.m.a.e.m. - the Sultana Pants in pink, new items from August's Designer Showcase - Lindy Madlin Black Heels, -{ZOZ}- (omgossshhhh I love ZOZ!!) Basic Polish nails and Moondance Boutique beautiful necklace that has a gorgeous chain in front and also drapes elegantly in back. Since you can't see the back in these photos, I'll use the necklace another time this month to share.
--- Longer Note Follows -- Featuring Heroes and Wicca Merlin Specifically
I celebrate heroes who have impacted my life in a variety of ways. I do this in an internet/virtual world sort of way and also in the world away from the net. These heroes have come along at times in my world where I really needed them, where they really exemplified quality and character, love and compassion, intelligence and direction. These heroes helped create the me that I am today and I know that because life is ever evolving, I haven't met the last hero who will influence my life yet, and I hope I don't for a very long time.
I know she doesn't have a FB name, but she probably has numerous friends and followers and supporters who do know her via this medium. I know she has more on her blog (I'll share her links below) and more in the world we share in Second Life because she's a dynamic model, educator, blogger and above all, friend. Today, I have on some of her items and every time I wear something from Wicca's Wardrobe, I try to think like a Wicca.
Wicca Merlin offers a perspective in modeling that changed the face of pretty in Second Life. She took her sense of self, sense of aesthetic, sense of style and then embodied it. I don't know if she's ever won awards for her amazing work. I do know that I've heard her speak several times and have taken classes where she was the educator. Every time I've been in her company, I've learned something new.
When I say I try to think like Wicca, there's a catch. The thing is, I think that Wicca asserts her will and desire to be different, to break the mold, to do what feels most like self, and though she respects the middle ground, the norm, the whatever many people might call modeling, she acknowledges, and then does what works for her. Thinking like Wicca then means to me... thinking like a me. I see influences all around me. I love a few bloggers and acknowledge their influence. I've had some amazing educators and friends who've helped. Ultimately though, I had to figure out Caryn. I think maybe Wicca might have been the most instrumental in my world related to that topic.
Even if you're new to Miss Virtual World Modeling Academy and you're taking your first class, 101 and you happen to get Ms. Wicca, who will apologize profusely for not speaking English well and then speak it brilliantly for the next hour or so, you will likely see and hear what I mean. Who is this off beat, wonderfully unusual person teaching this class? Am I in the right place? Just because she doesn't look like your canned version of model doesn't mean she's not a great model. I hope many people have a chance to know her, and in that, I hope they have also a chance to know self. If you see that she's speaking somewhere, you should go and listen. And now, because she wasn't already busy enough in SL fashion, she owns her own store and it's awesome too!

Celtic Warrior Princess Diva Extraordinaire... Um... Yeah! -- Featuring -AZUL- and EMO-tions
OMG gorgeous new LIMITED gown from Azul ALERT. This gown called Limited Kay Sapphire has everything you could ask for in a gown by this talented designer.
When I spoke to her about blogging some of her things, I was so in awe of her, and then she said yes and I had those misty eyes. Sometimes life just finds its balance if you work a while, and have a little patience.
Eww patience. It's not my forte, however, it really might be the most necessary thing to possess when you work in Second Life fashion, maybe ever!

Whispered Secrets; Field Of Dreams -- Petit Chat's Fashion For Life, !Elemental Jewelry and Leri Miles Designs Designers Showcase, Also EMO-tions
This is another example of me wanting very badly to show you some great photos I took in a field of yellow grain. Though the land was officially a role-play sim where people played into the time period of wagon trains and turn of the 19th century experiences, and potentially a place I could have been chased, none of the above happened. I didn't see another soul, not one.
Petit Chat has a selection of items, quite a few just wonderful outfits to offer during Fashion For Life. Just as other designers put extra time into exclusives, she also has. But even after I looked at her selection, I felt compelled to this Gypsy Dress, so very Karyn, so very me. I even have a bit of erotica published about the Gypsy girl. I will share one of their exclusives soon. Meanwhile, hopefully you'll be as mesmerized as I by this dress.
I paired another Windblow look from EMO-tions. It's what motivated me to find a plain with grains growing for miles to see. Two places I envision my hair blown all over the place and they are the ocean/lake or out in the middle of a spring crop of grain, corn, or even flowers. Whispering song and secret as the air teases each individual bit of the new plant, and then whispers the answers to those secrets into my ears. Just stand there... still... close your eyes... can you hear it?
Both the jewelry, bright gold links from !Elemental with red accent stones and the wedges from Leri Miles Designs that picked up the many browns and reds and oranges, come from June Designer Showcase, enhancing the overall light mooded moment captured out in the fields that afternoon.

Get It While the Gettin's Good -- Featuring !Prism from PENUMBRA and Asteria Creations and HOLLYHOOD from FASHIONART Faire
Let's go for a walk. It's a pretty day and the ocean breeze is blowing. Whisps of wind tickle the tangled weeds by seaside and the song of the sirens' call cries out over all. Alone for a moment, lost in time, she looks around, and on all sides, she sees nothing but beauty. Is this paradise?
I visited http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Braveheart%20Isle/196/31/24 Poppy's Paradise to take these photos and truly, it was breathtaking in every direction and this is just one spot in the midst of the whole. I'm sure there's much much more to see.
I have a new top on from Prism Designs SL, a sweater called Marilyn in Herringbone Bamboo that is part of the items shown in PENUMBRA's Fashion week this week. The Asteria Creations Hans Mesh Pants and Tangerine Vida Heels from HOLLYHOOD both come from FASHIONART Faire. Both events end at the end of May so if you like what you see, get it while the gettin's good.

Glittering Gold - FuLo from Designer Showcase; Liv-Glam from FASHIONART Faire by Glamourist, and Morphine
Designer Showcase offers a whole array of designers who choose something special each month or several something specials, and give you a chance to try new designers at a discounted price.
I've always appreciated that tactic and think it's an excellent tool for those who've been around for years and those who are brand new to SL Fashion.
The gorgeous dress comes from FuLo at Designe Showcase. The SLink High Feet shoes from Liv- Glam by Samantha S. Jones come from FASHIONART Faire and with a color hud, you can make those beautiful shoes match anything spring!
Recently a sweet friend who continues to build her brand and her skin creations as SL - Morphine - previously known as Mirror's Enigma - also adding other items, clothing, accessories, and whatever motivates her artistically; she sent me a little set of jewelry she'd created, and offered it as a small token of thought and prayer regarding my health stuffs. How special is that?!
I've always appreciated that tactic and think it's an excellent tool for those who've been around for years and those who are brand new to SL Fashion.

Pulling items together from special sales, events and finding a few new releases led to this latest style. From head to toe, there are new items just waiting for you to discover them.
Hair from >Asset< called Vikings will appeal to both genders. The sunglasses that are exclusively found at Dot-be fashion's Dance Island location are also unisex by design.
cae b. has an array of items available for sale at FASHIONART Faire including the bangles I used here while the boots from E C R U are available at the Designer Showcase.
h.m.a.e.m. created the dressy simple yet chic mini and though the neckpiece looks like a brooch, it's a necklace with earrings set you can find at Moondance Boutique.

A Fierce Something -- Featuring h.m.a.e.m., Zanze, and blackLiquid from the Cosmetics Fair
I think there's a genuine treat involved in working with the most creative minds in Second Life. I happen to focus on fashion, but I'm always in awe of settings and builds and other content creators too.
blackLiquid has items at the Cosmetics fair including the Tribadelica makeup and piercings shown in my photos.
I haven't blogged something from Zanze in a while, and this Cassidy dress suited me perfectly. The hem of the original dress matches the length of an elegant little mini, but then she cut out two layers, with peep holes that took the elegant dress close to the edge of in your face sexy. Oh la la!
I realized after I put the pieces together that this outfit also celebrates the quirky and wonderful that defines h.m.a.e.m. I imagine any business that calls themself Hate Me And Eat Me has a point of view that would make me and many others smile, and it's true. You can visit h.m.a.e.m. and find all sorts of interesting. The most recent item I have to share from there, the Infinite Vortex, is the yellow ribbon with black polka dots on it.I decided not to use it as a head piece, though that's how it was originally displayed. It's not really a bow tie, but in keeping with the diverse spectrum of interesting that makes this store interesting, it COULD be Salvadore Dali's idea of a bow. The piece I did use as a headpiece comes from the recent SAVIAD Fair. You'll also notice cuffs and earrings. They all came from h.m.a.e.m.

Handle With Care -- Featuring from Easter Market M&M -- Also Featuring EMO-tions
New Easter Market fun from M&M, not the candy but just as delicious! This metallic bodysuit with spikes brought out the 80's rocker chick in me.
EMO-tions released a new color palette that includes fades like the choice shown in this series. All of the colors you've come to love are available just as you knew them, and then there are all new pairings of those colors to create the new looks. Rosa is a mesh style that showcases this new twist at EMO-tions perfectly. I also found a little bauble from EMO-tions, the Addicted ring. I'm fairly sure I'm addicted!
I'm happy to continue to show new releases from Kyxe Skins & Shapes and this eye color comes from the series called Shine. You'll find several new makeup palette options at Kyxe now and more coming soon. If you have special requests, you can jot a note and put your message in Keisha's box, or let me know and I'll pass it on to her lickety-split!
Staple items like eyes and lashes, even the shape I once spent so much time working with to try to get it 'just right' don't always get mentioned but to me, they're always appreciated. Any artist has a certain amount of basic work go into their creations, and I lovingly put those details, with the great mesh eyes collection created by Maddox and the awesome HUD driven mesh lashes from Gaeline into my finished project.

I always knew I liked the theatrical singer Meatloaf. I liked him but not sure I could have told you why. I probably heard his music played umpteen times while I was in middle and high school, and I probably sang along, with words that weren't actually words to the song, trundling along through my teen years.
My sweetheart, he's a music aficionado, and wouldn't dare repeat words unless he'd read the jacket, or the music lyrics online and knew them clearly and correctly. Needless to say I probably irked him a time or two, totally destroying his favorite songs. We were watching American Idol because it's a guilty pleasure and fills the air with sometimes decent music, commenting on the young shaggy singer who was still in the competition last time we watched on demand... a fella who reminded me of Meatloaf.
Now why did he remind me of this singer? I don't know. I barely knew anything about Meatloaf, while Mr. Man knew every lyric it turns out, of this song that lasts 8 and a half minutes. I'm fairly sure they would not let mr. shaggy singer have 8 1/2 minutes on Idol to test his chops on Meatloaf, but it certainly created a fun moment for us. "Why do you like Meatloaf. Do you know what he always had in his hand while he sang?" What difference does it make? This was not the right comment of course. ~laughing~
This song, Paradise By the Dashboard Light, ended up cracking me up as Mr. flipped on YouTube, because you can do that with a PS3, who knew? And we listened to every word while I had the lyrics up on my laptop, trying to please the man, and eventually laughing so hard with him, that we forgot Idol for a bit and just sat there enjoying the amusement.
It's a theatrical song with a story behind it, which makes it make more sense that the song itself is 8 1/2 minutes. Meatloaf and his girl are singing, and at some point, he wants sex, don't we all??!! and she wants to know if he loves her. He asks, "Can I sleep on it?" but she wants to know NOW.
"Will you love me forever
Let me sleep on it
Will you love me forever
I couldn't take it any longer Lord I was crazed And when the feeling came upon me Like a tidal wave I started swearing to my god And on my mother's grave That I would love you to the end of time I swore I would love you to the end of time
So now I'm praying for the end of time To hurry up and arrive 'Cause if I gotta spend another minute with you I don't think that I can really survive I'll never break my promise or forget my vow But God only knows what I can do right now I'm praying for the end of time"
I don't know how many other boys and girls somewhere in their teen years have been through such a conversation, about love, sex and all things important to people that age, but the last part of the song is what tickled me most. He commits, he even agrees that the vow is one he can never break.
I work daily on making sure I get this or that look 'right', and I realize there are times when I completely make things up as I go along, and other times I pour over every little detail and want to know it as clearly as I learned this song. I'm human. You are too, by the way. It's okay not to always get it exactly finitely RIGHT. Sometimes, I think it's just fine to get it the best we can, and get better later. Can I sleep on it?

Wonderland - Featuring FINESMITH at SAVIAD - The Butterfly and PosESioN at SAVIAD
We all have reasons we get lost in ourselves, and lost in our world. I really loved "What the Bleep?! ~Down the Rabbit Hole" - a movie that came out about 8 years ago and a movie that addressed a whole slew of new ideas that change physics forever, quantum physics and all the theory that accompanies it. It's not so far from the experience Alice had, too big one moment, too little another, talking to a cat with no body, only a smile, and having a party with a perfectly mad hatter.
Finesmith created the Butterfly and offers it in several colors at the SAVIAD Fair. You can get the three colors I've shown here (fractal, blue and light) as well as other colors. I've used another new pose from PosESioN, the Art II series, and then wandered around !Almost Wonderland and used their poses built into props for the second two photos.
Every photo I take contains some element of Kyxe Skins & Shapes as I'm thoroughly enamored by the work of Kyxea and October. Candice released this weekend (as promised) and is set at a great price. You should drop by and try a demo. The overall look of the face feels very current to me. I think the eyebrows on this face are my favorite feature. It's not surprising that eyebrows can make or break new skin designs. These are spot on!
My sincere thanks for each designer who contributed to make this blog possible:

Like Mike -- Featuring from SAVIAD Silken Moon, Xen's Hats, [natzuka], PosESioN - Also Pure Poison
I want to be like Mike. Well no, not Mike. It was an advertisement campaign some years ago, when everyone thought Michael Jordan was the ultimate in basketball athletics. There was nothing he could not do. And yes, that double negative was intentional. Nothing.
I really want to be like the elegant, sophisticated eloquent model bloggers whom I might idolize a little like children wanted to be like Mike. My favorite continues to be Cao. She shares her soul and happens to dress in the most stylish, most fun, most bestest way while she does. She cares for others, invests her time in causes she truly supports with time and effort, and she's always quick with a shoulder or a hug for friends.
I really want to be like October. She seems to have her finger on the pulse of fashion. Her networking skills are leaps and bounds ahead of my own, and I consider myself pretty good at getting the right people together to make something happen. In the midst of everything crazy in her life, she manages to make me feel like I'm someone important, that I'm never interrupting her (even when I know I am) and that she really listens to what I share. It's not a head nod and okay thanks bye-bye.
I really want to be like Wicca. Every time I've ever spoken to her, she's apologized for not knowing English well. I wonder why this is, since I could not even begin to speak German and I do not apologize for this. I think I save her ears by me not even attempting it. Besides this, she's very humble when she receives compliments. I think maybe it's possible she doesn't realize how astoundingly amazing she actually is. Her style helps me see that style should be original and special, and unique to self. With my own whimsical approach to things, combining these super heroes of the fashion world, I feel like I can grow, I can learn, I can reach higher and farther and push my own envelope.
One hero, Mr. Juan Frolic Mills, I really don't want to be like him. No, not in a mean spirited, oh how did he just say that to me... sort of way! Every time I've ever spoken to him, he's had 5,000 things in progress. He stays busier than anyone I've ever virtually or physically met. It's no wonder the businesses he touches evolve in positive ways. It's no wonder that the legacy he's created will live beyond his wildest dreams. I just don't have the energy to sustain a life like his. I probably don't have the energy to attain the heights of my other heroic influences either, but Mr. Mills... well he just seems HuGeRtHaNLiFe!
