Got a Ticket Out Of Dodge - Chop Zuey and the World Wildlife Fund, Zanze at Sneak Peek and Analog Dog

New and beautiful! I really liked the drop inseam balloon pants that came as part of the overall outfit Zanze has for Sneak Peek this month, the Agnes Harlem Dress. I've been looking for a way to get out of Dodge, or take a vacation from all the holiday hustle and bustle, and finally this week, I've had a couple of long winter's naps. The Britto Jetsetter Travel Bags came from Chop Zuey and there's just enough room in that stack of traveling cases for me to jet to Paris or Tokyo to check out what's new and in style for 2015!
I also used a combination of Chop Zuey pieces layered to make my own mixed metals look. The Einn set included a long chain. It was created for a MVW contestant several years ago now, wow time flies, and is one of my favorite necklaces because of its length. I also have on the new Sultaness necklace, the Midnight Express Mens Ring and The Razor's Edge Mens Bracelet. As you may have noticed, I make use of the items created for both men and women at Chop Zuey because they make for great combination pieces! I also have my last 'new' style from Analog Dog. I tagged the sale items, and this is the last one to share, Val.
Because financial choices are big for me, even when we talk about pennies on the dollar in Linden currency, when designers go the extra mile to share gifts, I hope that I'm always able to go the extra mile and thank them for that. I've shared most of what Chop Zuey and Ms. Belle gave away this season. I want to nudge each of you one more time to remember her campaign for the World Wildlife Fund. If you visit Chop Zuey, you can find a gorgeous set created for this year's 100% donation option, and you'll also find a donation kiosk, where you can donate directly.
Belle is one of those people who'd do anything for a friend and when she asks for support for anything, I want to rush out and solicit that support. I hope you'll make time between now and the end of the evening tomorrow night. (Reposing the Pure of Heart Dolphin. If you purchase this between now and midnight tomorrow night, 100% of the cost will be donated to WWF.)

A New Designer Joins the Design Team at Zanze -- Featuring Zanze; Also Featuring no. 7

Every now and then I feel one of the photos I took so intensely even though it's not specifically a blogger photo. I often weed it out, because you really can't see the elements of the items I've been asked to blog, but this time I included one.
I thought this dress, Corazon from zanze was pretty, something I'd pull out, even now in the south, and wear to have a girls lunch or to meet my secret lover for midday drinks and a tryst. Naughty, eh? It must be my Friday mood. The facial decorations fit the lighthearted fun afternoon eye-dea... get it?
But I think a proper tryst would mean I had to remove no. 7's newest release Changing season, couture lashes, though they're really more like facial gems. I wore Gaeline's HUD operated mesh lashes as well. The item from no. 7 is the filigree silver and red gems that fit to the left side of the face.
I'm really happy that Ms. Fizz Lennie Devina aka Fuzz Lennie has joined the design team at Zanze and recognize her fresh eyes as an asset to this already awesome business. I can't wait to see more from her and Zzoiee aka Zoie Zee. I just loved the black photo, the lighting, the energy it created, so it's not the best frame to see the dress, but it's just too much fun not to share it! Happy Friday.

Adding Sneak Peek To My Blog -- Featuring Zanze from Sneak Peek and Wicca's Wardrobe from The Instruments

I received my first item from a monthly event that I joined recently. It's called Sneak Peek and offers an array of items from various designers. Each time I add a new event, I update my blog's front page. You'll find the short term events above the Flickr slide show, then each of the monthly events I work with below it.
They're alphabetized now, though in the past, I had items listed on the front page in the order that the designers had hired me. It's way too complicated to keep up with that, especially when I've had periods of times I left a group to deal with my world offline then returned. Yes, alphabetically is easier. Except when I forget whether N or M comes first in the alphabet. :p I'm sharing a link here, for this first time, then will know you have access to the SLurl on my blog, Sneak Peek's blog address on my blog and any other pertinent information.
I'm so glad to work with the incredible team at Zanze with this new project and admire Ms. Fizz Lennie Devina and adore Ms. Zoie Zee http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/zanze%20two/64/191/26 - So to kick off the Sneak Peek blogging, this is Elena from Zanze the store, at the November Sneak Peek. I paired the halter dress with Sazzy Pants from Wicca's Wardrobe. You can find them and other new pieces she's created to be worn together as an outfit or separately like I have in this instance. These pants and other Wicca's Wardrobe items are sold currently at The Instruments.

Morning Has Broken -- Featuring Zanze and Lindy from Designer Showcase

Before I went over to dance and play this morning, I went fishing in my new Designer Showcase bag and found a heavenly gown by Zanze and new heels from Lindy. The dress is called Eva and has a really feminine touch to it, with a whisper of winter yet to come in a pattern on grey that vaguely brings to mind snowflakes.
And yes, I know some of my friends got snow on Halloween! I declare! (That's something my gramma used to say when she didn't know what else to exclaim, and I suppose it fits sometimes, eh?) The Katie Kinsey shoes are in an old style from the 1940s.
They were danced in often in celebration of the end of a war to end all wars and the reunion of families around the globe. When you wear your Lindy Katie Kinseys, think about how wonderful that must have been. I'm an idealist. I'm me.

Living In a Fantasy World -- Featuring Zanze at Designer Showcase -- Sneak Peek at NEW October's 4 Seasons Face -- and M&M

When I saw this slinky little gown/dress from Zanze, metallic silvers and aquatic blues, I immediately thought about my fantasy costume folder. I've paid 'good money' over the years for different pieces of fantasy that came in and out of style in Second Life.
I even have a very pink panther skin, emphasis on the word pink. These wings twinkle with particles. I know, so passe, no one does twinkles anymore, but I love my wings and I will probably have them in my inventory til kingdom come. Today was a good day to dust them off and play.
Zanze's Sage Mini {PANSY} comes from September Designer Showcase and is the last item I have in my box to share with you from September's run. All those delectable temptations there, just a little longer and then it's (EGADS!) already October. I'm sure that time flies when we're having fun but as I get older, it seems to fly even faster. Does that mean I'm having more fun?

A Sweet Little Bundle Of Fun -- Featuring Zanze at Designer Showcase

Designer Showcase offers an array of designers each month, with new releases, often in colors that differ from what you may find in the designer's main store. You'll also find exclusives, gifts, and other treats while you're there.
This month, Zanze had a cute casual set for sale, Caroline top and shorts. With hair from EMO-tions, jewelry from Moondance Boutique and nails from there as well, it was easy to accessorize this clever sweet set.
If you haven't visited Designer Showcase yet this month, you should soon. The month is nearly over and then... it will be time for new ideas, items and more fun, of course!

Give Someone New A Chance To Be Great -- Featuring Zanze at The Month of Games and DE Boutique and -{ZOZ}- at Designer Showcase

Zzoiee at Zanze stole a piece of my heart when I knew little or nothing about modeling, blogging and the whole fashion business of Second Life. She seemed willing to let me learn and welcomed me as part of her team regardless my lack of experience.
I hope that I pay such warmth and encouragement forward. As I put together this style for one of Zanze's outfits at The Month Of Games, I reflected on the different pieces I've modeled for her and how striking each new piece really is, how much time she puts into her work, and how she always nails the theme of this or that event so well. I loved being the White Rook in this case.
I've also got new heels from DE Boutique from Designer Showcase August and more of -{ZOZ}- also from Designer Showcase. The heels and nails both are designed to work with SLink. If you haven't broken down and gotten SLink hands and feet, how will you ever be able to wear these artistic designs?

Sweet and So So Sexy Pink -- Featuring Zanze from PENUMBRA, {{BSD Design Studio}} and Face Paint

Hopping from one extreme to the next feels a little like riding a well timed ride at a theme park. There are calm parts that lull you into thinking things are safe and there are twists and turns and tunnels to lure you away from that fragile feeling of comfort. And it's FUN! We do it deliberately. The styles I've put together today made me feel a bit like that, and again, so much FUN!
This shear little mini comes from Zanze and a very dear friend Zzoie Zee. She's one of those dynamic forces in Second Life that seems to always be doing something, creative things, business things, building things. One thing that sets her apart from others who might be as busy...
She's never seemed cross or depressed or lost or moody and I've never once heard a single ounce of gossip about her or the places she's involved and invested herself. I consider her a treasure and when I get to wear something she's created, I consider that a treat.
I didn't over accessorize this design because of how it's originally designed. There's the pink sheer that makes it a very wicked evening club mini or a sexy bit of lingerie perfect to tempt that special someone. There are also ruffled pieces in several offsetting colors, metallic in nature. It's lovely in the soft femininity it represents and a part of PENUMBRA Fashion Week.

I'm thankful for each designer who made this blog possible:

A Fierce Something -- Featuring h.m.a.e.m., Zanze, and blackLiquid from the Cosmetics Fair

I think there's a genuine treat involved in working with the most creative minds in Second Life. I happen to focus on fashion, but I'm always in awe of settings and builds and other content creators too.

blackLiquid has items at the Cosmetics fair including the Tribadelica makeup and piercings shown in my photos.
I haven't blogged something from Zanze in a while, and this Cassidy dress suited me perfectly. The hem of the original dress matches the length of an elegant little mini, but then she cut out two layers, with peep holes that took the elegant dress close to the edge of in your face sexy. Oh la la!
I realized after I put the pieces together that this outfit also celebrates the quirky and wonderful that defines h.m.a.e.m. I imagine any business that calls themself Hate Me And Eat Me has a point of view that would make me and many others smile, and it's true. You can visit h.m.a.e.m. and find all sorts of interesting. The most recent item I have to share from there, the Infinite Vortex, is the yellow ribbon with black polka dots on it.I decided not to use it as a head piece, though that's how it was originally displayed. It's not really a bow tie, but in keeping with the diverse spectrum of interesting that makes this store interesting, it COULD be Salvadore Dali's idea of a bow. The piece I did use as a headpiece comes from the recent SAVIAD Fair. You'll also notice cuffs and earrings. They all came from h.m.a.e.m.

The designers who provided all the elements to create this style all make my world more fun!

Better Than Being Naked -- Featuring Carrie's Lingerie Limited, Zanze: Fashion Pride, KMADD/Moda and Kyxe

When I first met Carrie Bridger of Carrie's Lingerie, she was in a mid-sized building, having outgrown the small store where she first opened. I found an impressive array of items she'd designed and enjoyed her sexy but elegant aesthetic lingerie.

Mardi Gras: Bra, Panty, Garter, Stocking, Heels and Makeup
When I model my Carrie's, I plump up the volume of my shape to get the wiggles and curves useful to showcase the delicious options in each new design.

Mardi Gras: Bra, Panty, Garter, Stocking, Heels and Makeup (the rear view)

Each new Carrie's look has an number of pieces that end up offering several very different way to wear the outfit. In this case, the Mardi Gras theme begins with a simple bra and panty, and builds from there.

Mardi Gras: Bra and Panty, Stockings, Mask, Heels and Makeup

She's always included many options, but each year it seems she adds new things to increase the depth of usefulness a lingerie item might have. Many of the designs contain at least one evening gown option.

Mardi Gras: Corset, Glitch Pants, Stockings, Heels, Sleeves and Skirt, Feather Mask, and Makeup

And for this March Limited (the Limited designs are available for one month only and then retire to a vault never to be seen again), the gown look has a very glamorous party girl style suitable for Mardi Gras. You can be sure that whatever pieces you choose to wear in this dynamic design, the details are phenomenal.

The Fashion Pride event comes soon and the collar I have on (that looks like it was designed to potentially accompany the gown!!) comes from Zanze.

"Second Pride, the organization that creates Second Life’s largest pride celebration, is holding a fundraiser for AIDS Committee of Toronto (ACT), to raise funds to increase awareness of the disease, assist those living with HIV, and service the community, while researching its impact on various segments of society." - Taken from their blog https://fashionpridesl.wordpress.com/

13, 12, 13... Zanze, Dot-Be Fashion and .::Shellac plus (lime), A*S, Ch, Rock Culture and {{BSD}} from J&A Expo

I think my head spin gets faster and faster as the month of December gets into full gear. I have been labeling my photos differently so I can keep up with the different events.

Only one problem, though... I've forgotten how to count. Yesterday I skipped from 11 to 13, and left out the perfect little number 12.

As I was numbering the series I did yesterday with a number 13, I was thinking to myself how buildings leave out floor number 13 even though of course if you counted the stories, you really couldn't skip 13.

I got to thinking about 13, and how many people find it a superstitious number. It's not just one culture either. It seems to be virtually everywhere.

I've never really thought about 13 being a bad thing or something to be avoided. I also don't worry about black cats or All Hallows Eve. I don't know how some people absorb the superstitions and others don't.

In my case, I didn't avoid 13. I used it twice! That's not superstitious. It's just me being my happily ditzy self. I love this process, and the structure I've built around it to be able to blog and write for my sponsors and for all of you who follow me.

I still get lost sometimes, and find my way to 13 twice. Live! Laugh! Love!

Flirtation Can Be Dangerous To Your Health -- Featuring FINESMITH (55L Item), Zanze, MADesigns

Believe it or not, I'm quite shy. It's not that I can't talk to people. I do. I will work with strangers and create friends from the process. Ultimately thought, the inner me retreats and watches from the safe distance of a turtle in a shell.

I wander around Second Life, even to Mature or Adult locations, looking for good backgrounds, interesting shadows, and all that comes with the variety that only content creators make happen. Sometimes, especially when dressed in the sexy bolero -X- top from FINESMITH and Zanze's Forbidden corset, I'll get approached by a whole array of people.

After being approached, and it's sweet and flattering at times, I retreated to a photo studio for the other two photos in this serious. I don't mind the flirtation. I just don't know how to respond at times. Thank you but no. How sweet. But no.

I love the adventure and then I get overwhelmed with the randomness of flirtation. It really can be dangerous to my health. People tell me all the time, it's impossible to be shy and be the person you all see. But you have to trust me. I am. I love the sexy attire and FINESMITH does everything right so this great jacket invited the sensual side of me. I hope you enjoy!

Live! Laugh! Love! -- and believe me. I am shy.

A New Event - Christmas Market - Featuring Lavana, Also Zanze, **JPK, [NV], LH

It's that most wonderful time of the year again. And I have a new event to blog. I don't know how much I will see, but whatever I see I'm happy to share! It's like a little holiday every time I open a box. I hope as I share my joy and my holiday with you, you feel a little rush of positive energy.

So you'll see the logo behind the design and hopefully you'll make time to head over to the market when it opens on the 25! The first box I received came from Lavana. You'll see the sweater and hood scarf in this series.

I usually use [Mirror's Enigma] or Kyxe Skins & Shapes as skin, but now and then I use Noya's. I've bought two or three things from her over a period now of maybe 5 years and she consistently sends little gifts and treasures. I hope sharing her skin and talking about her creates interest. She's only on marketplace and she always apologizes about her English but she's wonderful and I always understand her.

I was a bit stressed when I saw this scarf hood. Hair was my issue. It's SOOOO beautiful, but it needed hair. I asked around for some advice on how to use hair with a scarf. I finally worked it out, and it helps that some hair designers like EMO-tions seen here will let you edit and move their hair as you set it. I just played with it until it fit!

The second little outfit in the box was this jumper and some leggins. I found a pair of boots and a handbag that I thought would complete the outfit. It's interesting to layer mesh on your body. I have a few tips for you. I have on mesh top, mesh romper and mesh pants.

Size up the top layer, then use your normal size for the second layer, and lastly, the layer that's buried under everything, in this case, the blue leggins, you can size down, one or two times till your layers are all neat and tidy. Have fun with this, and there's more to come! Live! Laugh! Love!

Round Robin -- Featuring Tresor, {{BSD Shoe Design}}, Chop Zuey, [Mirror's Enigma] and MADesigns

There are a number of terrific designers that I've met. And that list continues to grow. I met another new owner of a new store on the grid just yesterday. I think it's great that Second Life continues to perpetuate the effort at creating a live economy, even if it's flawed and has been since the day they opened their doors. Each time someone takes a deep breath and plunges into the incredibly huge array of ways and places then can create content and sell items in Second Life, new energy comes to all of us.

Tresor isn't a new business, but they were new to me several weeks ago when I realized the owner of the Charleston Lace sim is also the owner and designer of the beauty that is Tresor. She has a grand ball room where dance and etiquette, old southern gentility and charm abounds, and where the men and women in attendance should dress accordingly. I think it's wonderful that she makes sure you can do exactly that with a free gift just waiting for either gender, so you're ready to kick up your shoes.

I want to keep a fair sense of pacing with the various sponsors who've been so wonderfully generous in their sharing of items. It's like a Round Robin, except so far, I do it by a sense of intuition and not writing it on paper I imagine if I were slightly more organized or had someone who could organize me, I might have a pattern and people would know when to look for what new releases. I just have too much of the random free-spirited streak in me to be too hooked on schedules.

I've had a thing lately for morphing items that come as one thing and become something else. I also like getting men's items and putting them to use as items useful to me. The bracelet I have in this series is the Men's Pinwheel Ring from Chop Zuey but with it sized up a couple of times, voila. It's a delicate silver and stones bracelet suited to the outfit. I don't always keep everything neat and tidy, but I do feel like I give a little bit of me to everyone who shares a little bit of them with me. Life is fun like that.

I'm blessed and so happy to share that blessing with you. Live! Laugh! Love!

Collaboration and Cuffs -- Featuring Zanze, Finesmith, 55L, Bliss

This week I've chatted with a couple of people who asked for a quick moment of help and the experiences where collaboration ends up occurring always make me smile. This week, one especially made me chuckle and I warned Kay Weston that I'd talk about it on my blog sometime soon. Kay is one of the three women, Kay Weston, Nikki Wildmist and Allysondwyer, who work on the sim Image Essentials.

I have done a little project here and there with Kay and this time, she did a page in the group for anyone who could help. I piped up and she sent a teleport. When I landed, she was saying "As you land, I'm handing you each a pair of handcuffs. Go ahead and put them on..." I chuckled! These are not necessarily words you're used to hearing when you land for a modeling shoot, but you never know, do you?!

This music box set is an example of what you can find on the Image Essentials sim. There are studios for photos, set studios for a variety of uses, as well as sets all over the sim for unique photos. After I took the photos and took them to edit them, I was talking to another friend in Facebook and showed him one of the photos. He's got an artistic eye and while I worked on the basic editing, cropping the pictures and so forth, he was creating the smaller photo in the photo here. I thought it was lovely and said that I would include Trav Solar's work after I saw it.

A lot of work a blogger does happens in their little corner of the grid, or even off SL in editing and on blogspot writing, and in Flickr uploading. I celebrate the beauty of Zanze's gown Helena and loved this week's 55L special at Finesmith as I set up this series of photos. I fell in love with the prop and the whole composition instead of cutting down the size.

Thanks to Kay Weston and the other ladies at Image Essentials and also thanks to Trav Solar, for making today's blog a collaborative effort and to Kay for figuring out how to introduce cuffs so slyly into a day's work!

Looking For A Piece Of the Past -- Featuring Zanze, [Mirror's Enigma], N-Core, .::Shellac::., Lyr!cal B!zarre

This evening, I spent over an hour searching for my wedding tape. VHS. Yes. Old School. I tried to remember the name of a song, and then tried to remember who sang it, and I don't know either answer. I don't tend to collect memorabilia. I just don't. But I do wish I knew where the tape was.

It all began simply enough, one of those silly conversations that popped up last night and continued on to this evening. "What song is OUR song?" my sweetheart asked me. See, I make up little songs to sing to the Yorkies I call my bad children. I used to make up little songs for my sons when they were young.

It's certainly not by lack of connection or special things we've done in our lives. I know that we've got a lifetime of memories already, and celebrate our 24th anniversary in May. I just never had to entertain or calm my sweetheart. I created those little songs for the children and the other children out of need.

My memory may be more like memory foam, with loads of air holes where thoughts used to be, and the location of that video tape may remain hidden for a few more months or years. I don't have a little song that represents my connection to the most special man in my life.

I'm blessed. He is a piece of my past, but he's also a piece of my present and I know that as long as we both shall live, he will be a piece of my future. If the time arose where I felt a need to entertain him, or calm him with a song, I'm sure I'd come up with something.
