Love At First Sight -- Featuring [LG] Boutique, Loovus Dzevavor, Son!a and from the Four Seasons Market - Frozen Poses

Today I got to style something that I fell in love with the moment I saw it. I've worked with [Liv-Glam] designs over a period of time, beginning soon after the store had opened up to now and every single time anything has been released from them, I've admired the very talented designers who textured the outfits so incredibly well. We all know that there are several mesh designers who sell full perm items, and multiple designers buy the different pieces. Some do alright. Some are good. [Liv-Glam] rocks!
Aside from the fact that the items produced there are stellar quality, like this gown in black and silver (or black and gold on the HUD), [Liv-Glam] participates in multiple sale events and shares such a complex inventory week after week that include many many pieces at special prices. I recently visited their newest main store and Oh My Goodness! it just blew my mind. Everywhere I turned, there were sale items. Walls and walls. Then I stepped into the building, and found myself surrounded by sumptuous items, the build, the displays, the furniture; everything was chosen deliberately and fit perfectly.
I matched the gown with a headpiece from Son!a called Chess Head Rook. Another new color of heels that were released this past week during the Autumn/Winter 2014 Penumbra Fashion Week come from Loovus Dzevavor. I love unique hats and could wear a gazillion heels and then be happy to discover pair number gazillion and one.

A set of unusual poses and props from Frozen Poses were the ones I used in these two photos. With the added leaves props, some of the poses seemed more applicable as natural posing, but used alone, they provide a real editorial selection. The poses, and the leaves not seen in these photos, are part of the Four Seasons Market Event in progress. There are all sorts of items, clothing and decor, themed for fall, so you may find yourself happily tempted as you explore Frozen Poses and so much more.

A Little Bit Of Energy - Featuring *Living Imagination* at Rock Your Rack and .:JUMO:. and ~ghee from .PENUMBRA. Fashion Week

I store up energy a little at a time, and have to spend it wisely. Sometimes, under certain circumstances, I pour out a little bit more than I have to spend and end up working my way back to even par for a few days or even weeks after such a time. I wouldn't pass those moments up for the world, however. Today was one of those days. My new daughter-in-law turned 21. She seems too young to be 21 but I was 20 when I got married and my first birthday as a newlywed was to turn 21, but that feels like a million years ago. We had a little party planned as we're the only family she has locally and she didn't have a cake or presents on Thursday. It was so much fun, and so special to celebrate a new milestone in life. It also has me tuckered. Sometimes I have days where I feel tired, and there is no reason for it, and it's a bit depressing. On those days when I've had fun, pushed myself over the edge, and for a good reason, and I get tired, I celebrate. I know one South Carolina southern belle who will sleep soundly tonight!
To calm down, I came in and began working with a set of photos to show another item from Rock Your Rack. I have more that I want to show you and there never seems to be enough time. No matter how quickly I type, take photos or style. And that's a good thing in many ways. I wouldn't want to rush through this any more than I'd want to rush through a good time with my family. The steps of the process, choosing an outfit, accessorizing, finding a location, taking the photos, editing the photos, and writing to you are each important parts of the process, and I enjoy them all. If I had to rush through them, it wouldn't be nearly as fun. Bodza Mubble at Living Imagination creates some of the most beautiful pieces I have had the chance to wear. There are a few choices from *LI* at Rock Your Rack including this sapphire beauty called Alina. Donations received go to Breast Cancer Research Foundation. To donate directly, visit this site: https://www.stayclassy.org/fundraise?fcid=283425
I paired a new set of jewelry from .:JUMO:. and nails from ~ghee to accent the gown, both from .PENUMBRA. Fashion Week AW14. Every day this week, there will be something special from the many great artists who are represented in this year's fashion week. You can see fashion shows, attend parties, play and shop, and meet new people. You might even discover a new designer tossed in the mix. I hope you have a chance to visit. This event runs from today until September 22nd.

Maybe a little shopping helps you relax after a long day, and a gathering with friends wearing some of your favorite pieces makes the day even better. I know that it means a lot to me to share it, and to know that so many of you follow what I share, what I write, and read my Facebook or blog, or both. I wouldn't be able to do this without each of you and if I haven't said it often enough, 'THANK YOU!!' You add brilliance to my life with your light and your friendship.

Old Hollywood Elegance -- Featuring !Lybra at Designer Showcase and ::NO:SHADE:: from 24 Squared, Also Brand NEW October's 4Seasons

My other style I want to share with you begins with a gown from !Lybra called Giovanna that can be found at Designer Showcase. The elegance of this gown made me think of all those red carpet affairs that now seem to happen year round, where everyone pauses and asks, "Who are you wearing tonight?" I'm wearing Lybra Rage. Thank you so much! Jewelry from !Elemental rounds out this look with a set called Simone. It's a silver metal and onyx stone combination, and when you find it at Designer Showcase, you know you're going to buy it for the best price!
Additionally, I have an new October's 4Seasons Release, the Laila face for the Blossom Skin Tone. With the bold makeup, the lighter skin tone and black gown work together to continue with the theme of high society partying.
And ::NO:SHADE::, another designer I didn't know until this event, showcases Sofia at 24 Squared. A HUD for color change options gives you a great selection to suit whatever you makes you feel beautiful.

A Real Date! - Featuring Carrie's Lingerie

It's very rare for me to go to an event or spend time out with friends when it's not connected in some way to the work I do in Second Life. I miss more than many of you would know the ability to work outside my home. I yearn for those years to be returned to me, or maybe for them to be in my future. For my now, the most useful I can feel comes from work I do online in Second Life. I feel like I make a difference in some small way and that feeds my need to feel like I'm valuable. If I worked outside my home, or even if I volunteered somewhere, I'm sure I would return to using Second Life as a venue for fun, pleasure, playing and people.
That does't mean that I dislike the company of others away from working relationships. By no means! I just put the work I do with blogging and modeling and sharing my two cents when it comes to marketing advice and other ways I touch the fashion industry ahead of other activities. So much so that sweet people tease me about letting my hair down and kicking up some fun. It's gentle natured and always positive so... last night, I took that advice and went out on a date in Second Life. I visited a place JUST for the fun of it with someone who wasn't a client or a sponsor or an event or anything other than a good friend. I have to agree with those who've said I should get out more and enjoy Second Life on the playful side of things. I DID!!
Before this date, I felt so much like a girl, a bit shy, unsure of what to wear, unsure of what he'd enjoy. I knew it wasn't as big a deal as I was making it in my head and heart, but I'm an emotional girl sometimes (mosttt times) and I do look at every small detail in every way possible with regard to anything, and in this case, I wanted it to show that I'd put time and effort into going on said date, so when I met him there, he'd say "Wow, this person made an effort to make me smile!"
Carrie's Lingerie continues to be one of my favorite go to places for sensual, sexy, elegant, refined and just plain beautiful items. You might not realize, based on the name of the store, that gowns and shoes and makeup and other accessories were also a part of the package when shopping at Carrie's. I knew I would wear something from Carrie's but I had to pick it out and I was thrilled to find this incredibly beautiful Burlesque gown in purple. Many of the pieces Carrie creates contain prims, flexible pieces, absolutely artistic layers, but rarely (up to this point) has it included mesh. The mesh skirt for this outfit suited perfectly to the overall look. I had a special newly created curvaceous shape and I was able to find a size that fit the curves.

I think he enjoyed the styling, and overall effect like I hoped he would. It's hard to go wrong with elegantly created lingerie, and with Carrie's, I always find something new and special when I visit. Since I first found "Grace" at a 60L weekend list and went to see about this place called Carrie's Lingerie, I've loved it. You and your special friends might also. It can't hurt to try!

My thanks to each designer who made my outfit a success!

The Vixen From A.F.I Designs Plus Treats from Easter Market: Persefona, Icons of Style, and Maniac Quintessa

At the Easter Market, there are some serious things and a lot of little playful things that ring in Spring. I enjoy both extremes and most anything anyone can create that falls between serious and playful.
This morning, I framed three photos that show the clever use of props with poses from Icons of Style. There were quite a few choices of little gold eggs like the ones I'm holding, and then there was an egg cluster with poses as well. I also included Persefona's colorful floral headband from Easter Market as well as Maniac Quintessa's Seeing Red heels.
The AFI Designs creator sent me Vixen, this little mini dress. I have decided that many spring designs will be perfect to wear with the colorfully tattooed skin gifts from Kyxe Skins & Shapes, as you can see so much of the art with this particular dress.
I think I've tried every combination of the mesh eyes from KMADD/MODA Designs and continue to comb through the spectrum of choices, finding new color schemes, a little bit of this and a little bit of that, still discovering new 'oooh' moments with the styles and colors available.

Thank you to each designer who made this style possible:

Beauty Dwells In Places All Around Us-- Featuring AD Creations from SAVIAD, no. 7, EMO-tions, KaTink and Wicca's Wardrobe

My whole world I've built slowly over the years in Second Life takes root in others, friends who've made the experience intensely important to me, friends who were involved to the point where they brightened my world and lessened the general burden life heaps on our shoulders at time.
When I heard yesterday that I'd been selected as one of three bloggers who worked with the SAVIAD Spring Fair, to win a prize, and a privilege, I couldn't think clearly. I considered the chance to be one of the bloggers was a great gift, and then to be recognized by the team of designers, for the effort and time I put into each blog for this event, wow.
There are still items I have to share from SAVIAD. It's on til the end of this month, so if you've seen something here in Facebook from any of the SAVIAD bloggers, or said "Aha! I want that..." then you should head over and get 'that'! Exclusives are a part of the experience, and time keeps on slipping in that hourglass. One of the dresses you'll love comes from AD Creations, and the gown shown here. It's got a darker Gothic energy, designed with creativity that shows in each detail.
I'm happy to show some of KaTink Poses as well as some from Wicca's Wardrobe with this gown. no. 7 has these Aero Wing Lashes in their recently released bucket of greatness! And I've not yet seen armlets like these new this week from EMO-tions. She's used a rigged mesh arm layer, like one might use for arm-warmers in winter, and designed intricate jewelry on that layer instead.

My deepest appreciation goes to each designer who created elements that made this style possible:

I found a new feature on my paint program and had so much fun playing with it!

I really need this distraction, at a personal level, and it is a distraction but it's so much more.

I'm grateful beyond words most days, moments all through the day.

A Blue-Haired Whimsy - Featuring SAVIAD creations from Living Imagination, PoseWay, Swallow and [no. 7]

I know - I know - Blue hair? But it felt so fun to work with it as I put together this style tonight. I want so much to represent the various designers who have items at SAVIAD Spring Fair because many of them are designers who've awed me in the past, and content creators that I revered long before I began my own fashion journey.

An example today, this alluring gown from Living Imagination by Bodza Blackadder called Blooming Beauty inspired me to the edge of my imagination. She's one of the organizers of this event and wow!

I paired the unique headpiece from Swallow Skin and Accessory Second Life - Butterfly Neobaroque, because it had the same whimsy as the gown.

Poseway created several new sets of poses, and these are from the Chic set. I'll share more from them soon. Another event in progress includes the Skin Fair, and the makeup shown here comes new from [no. 7].

And finally, one other new element comes from Lyrical B!zarre Templates, these earrings from the Youthful set. I thank each of you who pause and look at the items shared here.

Why Can't We Be Friends - Featuring Items By House of Hawker and Chop Zuey For Fashion Pride

One of the unique things about a virtual world comes in the form of 'Friends' lists. From the very beginning, with a Buddy List on AOL, we were encouraged by each place we visited to connect to others on such lists.

There have been a number of methods I've used to communicate across the past 16 years. I avidly used ICQ, Messenger, Facebook, and so many others. Only in the past 2 1/2 years have I used the connections I made online to help support a business type proposition.

At the heart of it, however, even these business connections feel very special to me, and ultimately those relationships mean so much, that if the work part of it disappeared today, I'd feel blessed and loved and supported by all of my friends.

I try to be sure to thank those who've impacted my life in all sorts of ways when it relates to business. I'm grateful to the lady who suggested I begin blogging and gave me pointers on how to do it, how to make it look, and how to reach out to designers.

And from that moment to this, I'm grateful also to everyone who's given me a chance to participate in this business. Friends make our world better, brighter, and healthier.

I got to be a part of this last photo with October Bettencourt. She's an incredible photographer (if you're ever in need of a professional shot!!), a terrific designer, and she's one of the bestest friends you could have.

Thank you to the incredible designers who created the various pieces that make this style possible!

Come Fly With Me -- Featuring Evolve, no. 7, {{BSD Design Studio}}, [Mirror's Enigma], Chop Zuey

Do you ever dream you can fly? It's odd how that's a recurring dream for most humans. Do we long for wings? To soar above the world with that view that only distance accounts for here? I don't know. I know from time to time I dream of flying. I don't know my brain's subconscious reason for it. It just happens.

I could find metaphors in the essence of flying. Maybe a dream of flight is my brain's way of taking a deep breath and jumping in to something new. If I were going to fly figuratively, it could mean starting a new job in 2014 or creating a new pattern of health or life that enhanced my world so much that it was exhilarating.

I've had conversations with people, family members and strangers, in my various dreams of flying, conversations where I sat and tried to convince them that it was real, and that I really could fly, I wasn't just dreaming. How ironic, my subconscious tries to convince me that I literally have the ability to fly, and even in a dream, I'm telling myself it's not JUST a dream.

Whether figurative or literal, I still have these dreams. I have as long as I can remember. I wonder if some biology in us will be flipped on like a switch one day in our species far future, or if it were a possible option that was evolved out of us before it could have ever flipped on in the first place. Maybe we long for something we don't quite know as possibility until we sleep and let our mind run.

I intend to fly this year. No, I'm not that crazy. I don't mean literally spread my wings and fly. I'd have to figure out how to grow those wings and that sounds like a LOT of work. Instead, I'll reach for heights I have not yet attained, learn new things, experience new things, meet new people and cherish each milestone. Come fly with me. Always. Live! Laugh! Love!

A Lady In Time -- Featuring h.m.a.e.m., Chop Zuey, a Gift from Trin,

I took a couple of shots with this gown but came up with these two as the ones that suited me. I'm learning more about lighting, and the framing and all the details I can read and absorb about photographs. I also continue to hear really remarkable and sometimes "doh!" things about it.

I've done a few things from h.m.a.e.m. and visited their store this evening too. This gown was released from them and up until now, I had only thought they did jewelry and unique styling creations as accessories. I was glad I visited and got to know the designer a little better for doing so.

I have to share that a friend of mine, also a model and blogger, makes her own makeup and I'm envious. I have a little bit of experience making trinkets and tattoos but nothing special. The gift she sent this holiday is what I'm wearing and I thought it was sweet and oh lah lah glossy. Thank you Trin (Trinity Aironaut)!

It's a Bevy of Gowns -- Romance Couture, #7, and Kyxe Skins & Shapes

I wanted to style a couple of gowns before the end of the year. I may do another selection before the first, but in case I don't, I put three together in similar fashion so I could show the diversity of creations available at Romance Couture.

A fluttery swatch of clothing moves with every whispered step in this gown Chocolate Caramel. The gold is understated, yet perfect in balance from shoulder to floor. It also has a pair of heels that were designed (not seen) if you're the type who likes to style with a little help from designers.

Purple and silver have a great holiday flare, but if you like to purchase for now and later, this certainly would be a great option. The royalty of the shade blended with the light reflecting surfaces glimmer without any gems to do so. I loved the cut of this gown, Roma, a deep v of seduction.

I fell in love with this gown, Pashka. It's a warm reminder of my studies in college. I went back to school when my sons were both in high school. I studied Russian history as a major. I love the cossack hat. It offered a great accessory, something different, and beautiful in my biased opinion.

Romance Couture was represented in the Miss Virtual World competition by two models, SD Damiano and Spirit Llewelyn. Both women wore the brand well and looked beautiful.

Getting Ready To Visit a Special Event -- Featuring Carrie's Lingerie, h.m.a.e.m., and [#7]

This evening, I popped into Second Life for a brief visit and got a nudge from a friend to attend a big event. I had to find something to wear and I thought that it would be useful if I styled something new to blog.

One of my favorite things about Carrie's Lingerie becomes apparent if you look at the transformation. i was in a formal gown called Sparkle - aptly named!! - to attend the event.

Afterward, I pulled off the long gown skirt and voila. I had a sexy sitting room bit of sensuality. I grabbed a glass of champagne and toasted the special weekend it has been. A new Miss Virtual World was crowned.

Other news revealed the top votes from AVI choice, and others celebrated their anniversary of joining this Second Life, and still others just had a great holiday evening. I tugged off the corset, and slid into bed with my someone special, thinking of holiday, brilliant stars of memories to savor.

One More Time... Featuring Kastle Rock Couture and FINESMITH J&A Expo

I love the chance to meet the different designers who've participated in the Jewelry and Accessory Expo organized by Siren Productions. Each time a new designer contacted the group, showed their display in photos or simply sent an item for review, I felt truly blessed.

Some of the designers sent out sets: jewelry sets, little figures and creative pieces that really let me see their talent and passion for building. I am privileged and grateful to be one of FINESMITH's bloggers, and they too contributed to this Expo. The brilliant head piece and necklace in the photos stunned me.

FINESMITH has been around a long time and Yula Finesmith's skills have been honed over time and with great practice. Everyone started somewhere. I have a lot of respect for people who've invested time and effort into their Second Life interest and stuck with it till it succeeded like she has done.

I also recently added Kastle Rock Couture to my sponsors list and show you one of her holiday gowns in this blog. The intriguing use of layers allows for the mesh to be worn alone or with some ornamentation. I've seen several clever uses of mesh recently and this offers another great example.

It doesn't matter to me if someone's been around since the dawn of time or yesterday, regarding their passion and interest in content creation. Not everyone does it famously, but if they do it with some regard for taste and their work speaks artistically, I will share their work with you.

Thanks for being a part of my world here, as I write. About 12 minutes ago, on the East Coast, USA, I turned 45. Life is crazy. Life challenges all of us. But ultimately I try to live by my own tag line, "Live! Laugh! Love!"

All Things Considered... Featuring Tresor and Pure Poison (another item from the J&A Expo -- in progress!)

I love the public radio station program that comes on at night. "All Things Considered" is a news program that does reporting much like television news, but of course without vision to aid the listener, the stories end up being more verbal, and in my opinion, better explained.

I also like it for its content. No matter where I've traveled in the US, in my younger years, I always tuned in to the local radio for this show. It had a local clip prior to the show or just after it, then talked about anything, since all things that happened could be considered news of the day.

I've also heard the words 'all things considered' used prior to explaining something that had some minor errors, but went well. Broadway openings sometimes have reviews that end with the phrase. The debut of a restaurant might have the same type of review. It's understood that it takes a lot to produce either.

After the party that celebrated Kyxe Skins & Shapes move to its new location at 4Seasons Mall, I spoke briefly to the people who'd been there with me to do the celebrating. The people were happy. Little things happen, but that's just life. All things considered, IT WENT REALLY WELL.

Featuring [[Masoom]], h.m.a.e.m., Italian Style Shoes and also Featuring Gizza, Cae, (lime) from J&A Expo

I tried to watch the new version of Sound of Music this evening as I worked with photos and blogs and all that I enjoy.

I'm not sure I understand the race to do remakes. I love Carrie Underwood. Yet I kept thinking of Julie Andrews and missed her instead of enjoying the redo.

Surely all the stories in the world have not yet been written. If we were all out of stories to tell, would we not be out of life too?

I would prefer to see new stories. New movies. New plays. New musicals. During the commercial break, I also noticed that Disney debuts another remake for the Christmas holiday season.

It's another Julie Andrews film. The original was called Mary Poppins. The new film is called Saving Mr. Banks. He's the man who said, "Kindly do not allow the issues to cloud the facts." Mr. Banks that is.

Maybe all of history comes with makes and remakes and remakes of remakes. I imagine in another hundred years, they'll be saying the same thing. Carrie Underwood sang beautifully.

I often here in our shared world that copying is a form of flattery. Sometimes I think it's a shortcut and doesn't really save time. It's just one opinion.
