This outfit blends items from several stores that all had that brick red hue as the base color. The jacket from EccentriXi paired with the halter and skirt from Rowena Springflower Design looked as if they were designed to wear together. The boots from Pizazz were also that deep red tint, fitting well with my overall styling. With a filter on my photo, I went for a vintage look, two tones display the rich deep tints perfectly. From My Boudoir - Featuring October's 4Seasons, Lushish Catz, and Brii Underground

I love the new Slink hourglass body. I actually like several of the mesh bodies that came to fruition while I was away last year. 11 months is a VERY long time in SL years. It ages more quickly than dogs do. I own three bodies but I've only used the Slink because it has the most applications for what was already in my inventory and what's being produced by the people out there doing the designs in the greatest quantity and quality that I've yet seen. I could be corrected and learn more and new tidbits tomorrow, however, so stay tuned. I could love Eve and Maitreya equally as well, and just not have a great deal of exposure to them yet. 

All in good time. Despite being gone a year, and feeling the need to catch up on so much all at once, I'm determined to stroll and enjoy the walk, to see and inhale and enjoy the details. Life is beautiful and meant to be savored one rose petal at a time. And believe it or not, I think we're meant to savor the dark moments as well because without them, we wouldn't know how glorious a sunset or a rose in bloom really is.

The skins at October's 4Seasons look yummy on the Slink body. This one came out last year, as part of the holidays, and oh la la, perfect for a bedroom steamy eyes sultry come and get me photo. Uh huh!

Lushish Catz sounds a little naughty, just saying the name of the store. Fun! The appliers work on the Omega, which opens the door for a lot of mesh body application, a separate application for Slink and another for TMP. No matter how you slice it, you end up dressed - or undressed in this case - to entice!

Brii Underground and Playfull Mesh have a HUGE warehouse of ideas and options and this designer must work days, nights, weekends and holidays to create as much as appears on a regular basis. "Til Death" earrings come from a complete outfit. Even if you shop an exclusive number of stores for your work in SL Fashion, knowing a few places to find accessories and tidbits that aren't in that circle of shops might be of value. Every little detail counts.

Rip Van Winkling No More - Featuring Zoom, [Juno] Poses, [noname], Damn&Sweet

I put together a number of outfits today before finally taking a few photos. The learning curve to style and photograph myself in years past seems to have fallen like old buildings unused while I was away tending to medical needs. My hope is, though it's not like riding a bicycle, it will come back to me more quickly than I learned it the first time.

I worked on pictures and stylings constantly for more than three years, and this past year, 11 of the 12 months of 2015, I simply could not. I'm so glad to be back, to be sharing my ideas and putting time and energy into blogging once more. It makes me feel whole. I might look like a 5th grader instead of a college student, on the learning curve where I am now, but at least I'm no longer Rip Van Winkle!

After a Long Night - Featuring Analog Dog, Slink, October's 4Seasons and Venus Shoes

I took a new picture that I didn't hate. Onward and upward, heave ho!

Analog Dog has some awesome FREE balls on their beach. I went there last, maybe this time last year, and it was one free ball. Now there are like 6. Free is always good. This one is Val, in one of the dark red options.

My new favorite purchase - a mesh body - not so free but oh so fun, Slink Hourglass. 

October's 4Seasons January Group Gift Capricorn Perfection, well named because of course if it's by October (Keisha Xicotencatl ) it is perfection.

I dropped by Image Essentials to shoot the photo. Kay always makes it easy-er to take good snaps because she's got it all set up for me.

I had a very negative experience with the lingerie designer so for now, I'm leaving that information off of my news of the day. 

Honesty With Sabra Style, Honestly! Also BOABA

A monochromatic layout for someone who's anything but... Kylie Sabra and Sabra Style - Second Life Fashion have a beautiful vantage point and in that sense of beauty creations she makes always make me feel elegant, refined and something better than myself. When someone can do that, it makes the thing they do that much more special. It's difficult to put into words. Maybe it could happen in the world off line if I got to meet Michael Kors or Vera Wang and then had an item from their collection and got to wear it and then got to talk about it, blog it, tweet it, and every other way to shout out to the world, this thing I got to do was radical fun and this person I met made it better than fun! That's not likely to happen in my world off line but I'm blessed beyond words that it does happen to me in my Second Life. 

That girl right there, the amazing one who works on so many projects in Second Life that have meaning, who creates clothing, who pauses to say hi, how are you feeling, in the throng of her busy crazy day, that's one of those girls I adore and thrill at sharing her wares. Honesty in Gold. Honesty is such an intense name for a dress, but in this case, it's perfect. I paired with a hat that BAOBA shared with me some recent weeks ago called Delicacy Yellow and finally found a time I could wear October's 4Seasons metallic Copper Lips.

A Little Bit Of Me In This Outfit -- Loovus Dzevavor from Sneak Peek and Gift From EMO-tions

Pinned and tweeted, Flickr'd and Blogged.. my social media deluge today brings a new Delta Jacket and Skirt Combo from Loovus Dzevavor to light in as many ways as my little virtual fingers can reach out and touch the world today. I also had new hair from the group gifts section at EMO-tions, this style called Tori.

I continue to thank those who are abundantly generous because you are the reason that day to day, week to week, I'm able to put together items that will hopefully entice new guests to come and try YOUR brand, your art, your aesthetic, and I love being part of that, like a cog in the wheel of progress. On a personal note, I've had a flu, virus, yuck, whatever thing, and apologize for being less than present. I think yesterday's bolus antibiotic shot, those things hurt, really, they do, even on adults! so next time a nurse tells you, "Just a little pinch." Ah... nevahmind. You'll have to experience the fun yourself to really get it.

I do believe I'm going to be more myself over the next days. I'm not ready to go to my next rodeo, but I'm doing alright. I don't know where my father in law got that question, but he asks it all the time. "Ready for your next rodeo then?" Like I'm on the mend and ready for a bull or wild horse to buck me around for a bit? I don't know! So no wild horse rides, but I am mending and will see you all soon. <3

Urban and Chic - Wicca's Wardrobe at Rue a la Page, Chop Zuey (recent gifts), EMO-tions (group gift)

As for work, I'm having a tough week physically, so I popped in yesterday to style my latest outfit and popped back out again soon after... this one comes with primary inspiration - Wicca's Wardrobe. The "Captured" top and the "Inara" wonderboots that I may never ever ever take off again... I call them wonderboots. That wasn't an official name or anything. I just think they rock amazzzzingly. Lybra Is Something Stunning, Something Fun, Always Something Classy -- Lybra and /Wasabi Pills/

Some designers have a flourish that's as lovely and unique as someone's signature might be or an artist's point of view. One of many reasons I love working with Lybra, Mr. Jason and Ms. Natzuka, along with the stunning skin and management of Ms. Jamee, could be summed up with the single word - Class.

Something Different This Way Comes -- Jinx from Winter Market and Zibska from Sneak Peek

I took a cocktail dress from Zibska and modified to some degree so that instead of having a jacket with fringe over the dress, I had earmuffs for warmth.

I paired with a pair of jeans and boots from Jinx and created an entirely different look than either designer had originally shared in their original vendor photo for these monthly events (Zibska at Sneak Peek and Jinx at the Winter Event). Being able to shrink or enlarge, or able to adjust the texture just slightly can make it fun to see one thing and turn it into something very different. It's part of the fun of playing barbie dolls.

One of the things I think we all seek is our individuality. I hope you enjoy this look of the day as much as I did putting it together to show you! Thanks for your ongoing support. It means so much to me!

Where Did the Time Go? -- .:JUMO:. at Sneak Peek: Items Designed To Match From Head To Toe!

I'm truly surprised at the speed with which this year traveled. It's so cliche, to say pithy statements at times, "Hold on to them now; they'll be grown and gone before you know it." ~insert rolled eyes~ But when I was late teens and 20 something, I was sure I everything and those old sayings were for other people. My life would be different somehow. I'd cling to every good moment, savor it like one might cherish a hug, and keep them all together in my head and heart for the times I was alone or needful of such positive energy. Some of that worked, by the way, but it did not waylay the eventually echo-worthy comments that I now say to young people who probably roll their eyes at me as much as I did back then, and remind them to hold on to them now. They'll be grown and gone before you know it. Mine are, finally settled in their own adult worlds. As eager as I have been to get them both out of the house, stabilized on their own, and dependent on self, I've also missed them like crazy. I don't think the pendulum will swing to a happy medium on this topic any longer, so I will be one of those old people spouting wisdom, clinging to the warmth and hope of the day and reaching out long distance to family and friends as I do so.

Got a Ticket Out Of Dodge - Chop Zuey and the World Wildlife Fund, Zanze at Sneak Peek and Analog Dog

New and beautiful! I really liked the drop inseam balloon pants that came as part of the overall outfit Zanze has for Sneak Peek this month, the Agnes Harlem Dress. I've been looking for a way to get out of Dodge, or take a vacation from all the holiday hustle and bustle, and finally this week, I've had a couple of long winter's naps. The Britto Jetsetter Travel Bags came from Chop Zuey and there's just enough room in that stack of traveling cases for me to jet to Paris or Tokyo to check out what's new and in style for 2015!

I also used a combination of Chop Zuey pieces layered to make my own mixed metals look. The Einn set included a long chain. It was created for a MVW contestant several years ago now, wow time flies, and is one of my favorite necklaces because of its length. I also have on the new Sultaness necklace, the Midnight Express Mens Ring and The Razor's Edge Mens Bracelet. As you may have noticed, I make use of the items created for both men and women at Chop Zuey because they make for great combination pieces! I also have my last 'new' style from Analog Dog. A new cocktail gown for party goers. It's that time of year, planning parties, watching fireworks, meeting old friends and making new friends. I met a new designer this week while I was looking into 'business' and loved the things she created and especially appreciated her support of the inaugural year of the Miss SL Organization's first pageant.

Eva K E L I N I - Haute Couture has this Diamond Cocktail dress out as a gift for new group members. I wanted to share one of her designs after I noticed several of the candidates from the first round auditions for Miss SL 2015 chose gowns by her as their basic look. I paired with it Lybra's Marella Fascinator adorning my hair, also new from Analog Dog - Tunnel Cake, and Lybra's Cerise Necklace Diamond.

I know it's unusual to pair boots with a cocktail look but it feels so me to do so. I love booooots... any time is a good time to pull out a pair. ~ghee created these for Fall14 as part of the fashion week earlier in the year. And somewhere along the way, not quite sure where or when, I acquired these earrings from Son!a, Silver Onyx. I'm ready for a party. I've only one thing missing, a date!

Fun In Swimwear, Even If It Is Winter - !:Lybra:!, Analog Dog, and Chop Zuey; Also Lindy from Designer Showcase

I roamed around Lybra late last night to see the new rooms, how it's being organized and what might be new or fun to share with you. I was (as usual) overwhelmed with the number of things I wanted to try on, to wear, and to style for you. This swimsuit caught my attention, mostly because I think of formal attire when I think of Lybra. If you're a member of Lybra's group, you can find this in the group member room. And if you're not a member, you should be!

I paired Jennifer, the suit that comes with the ability to color change the top, bottom and belt each with different tones, or the option to color change all three to the same tone. I went with these tones because this reddish tone suits my skin so well, and always makes me feel beee-ooo-tiful. Yellow remains one of the fierce colors of 2014 and though we're about to ring in a new year, one more sash in that bold electric yellow works just fine. New boots from Lindy are available at Designer Showcase. Thankfully, I caught the news of a sale at Analog Dog and found a plethora of new styles including this one called Pipe Dream. This afternoon was all about the contestants for the first Miss SL competition so I chose something deliberately casual, something I could imagine me wearing as I took photographs of famous people at a gathering in reality.

Taking Time To Relax, Chill Out and Recover From Family and the Holidays -- Immerschoen-Body Cult and Odelitte from Winter Market, Chop Zuey, October's 4Seasons and {{BSD Design Studio}}

I put together a very casual array of items this evening. It just felt like one of those nights after all the bright and beautiful and party-fun-terrific brilliance to embrace things that were simple. I loved the idea of a knit cap called Beanie Svenja (with hair already added!) for instance, because wearing one means one does very little to pretty-up the hair under it. Convenient, warm, cozy... and it's part of Immerschoen-Body Cult's pieces sold at the Winter Market. The Skinny Pants Tweed also come from them and are sold at the Winter Market as well. Odelitte created this oversized sweater in an Ombre blue tone for Winter Market. **Personal note in response to some questions I've received since posting my personal choice in skin tone at October's 4Seasons. I absolutely adore blogging, but it's only one of many ways I want to use the skills I've developed in time related to styling and modeling. Recently, I was invited to participate in a photo advertisement and had one of the pale skin tones on because it was the one I'd happened to style that day, and had not made a conscious choice regarding skin tone prior to that day. We got to see the 'copy' before the add was published, and I realized after the fact that a sea of pale tones dotted the advertisement, but the world I live in contains people of so many different skin tones, such beautiful creams and coffee colors, burnt rich russet and freckled, tanned and tones as dark as night, but in the experiences I'd had in fashion in Second Life, the vast array of tones seemed neutralized to a few basics. At least with the 14+ shades that October has created for October's 4Seasons, I had choices that were different than the median tone, and if I embraced one of those darker tones, it would add depth to the overall photo selections for advertisements, for displays, vendors, and blogs. So I wear Chocolate Cosmos; It's a touch darker than my tanned version of me in summers past, and about three shades darker than my lighter olive skin that stays with me through fall and winter. I really loved the special edition tone she created called Cinnamon but that one hasn't returned yet. If it ends up with a neutral or natural option down the road, I might switch to Cinnamon instead of Chocolate, but for the same reasons. Being a brown tone amidst a myriad of elegant ivories and peaces feels like it's harmonizing, making the overall picture complete for all of our worlds.

Let Me Look Into My Crystal Ball - Wertina from Winter Market, Analog Dog, Chop Zuey and Lindy

What does the new year bring for each of us? Sometimes I wish I had a crystal ball. When my sons were young and they would ask me some question to which I had no way of knowing because it was either simply information I didn't know or associated with time we hadn't had yet, I would answer, "Let me look into my crystal ball." They grew to laugh at this retort and now they make similar comments if I ask them about time off from work or other details for holidays, in much the same manner I used the phrase in their youth.

Since I don't have one of those balls, but I do have a sixth sense about some things, I feel really positive going into 2015. I think I will have a grand-child, hopefully a grand-daughter, on the way before 2015 ends. No they haven't announced it yet, and its one of those ideas where they both say oh no, we're not ready for that yet (and they're not!!) but I still believe it will be happily on its way before the year 2015 comes to a close. I also believe it's going to be my healthiest year yet since 2004 when my world fell apart at the seams. I have some say in this, obviously, by eating well, doing things that are good for the body and so forth, but also I think other things are affecting me for the better and they're going to keep doing so.

In Second Life, I'm going to get more involved in the business behind the business of modeling. I've always enjoyed the fact that modeling in SL and probably off line too, there are a thousand jobs that must be done for every single 'face' that's out on the runway showing the clothes. I've only begun to explore and have embraced the chance to invest time and talent in several ways and will continue to find ways in 2015. I had thought at one point that I would move away from blogging, and I may yet do so one day but not yet. It's not time yet. I enjoy the connection I have with designers all over the grid and I'm not ready to yield that.

I have a new gown on from Wertina, an item made for the Winter Market Event. I think I'll be sharing Analog Dog hair until sometime next year after the killer sale they had this week! Lindy had an array of patent leather heels with the pointed toe sandal look. And it will certainly be a while to share with you all the beauty of Chop Zuey from the generosity of Belle Roussel.

Pressing Onward -- New From Analog Dog - New Gifts From Chop Zuey - New From October's 4Seasons

Onward and so forth... Christmas is one of those times of year that push and pull us in multiple directions and even in the best of moments, it can overwhelm us. I felt healthier this year than in many years past, and grateful for the extra bit of energy to get through the last little bit. Now it's done for a year and I'm ready to get on with what we call 'normal'.

Back to football, and bowl games and watching television through eyes that are 'just resting'. The last of Middle Earth came this season and it feels like an era passes. I don't know if it matters what we call normal or how we live day to day. In some ways, I hope I'm like the character Scrooge realizes he wants to be by the end of A Christmas Carol. I'll keep Christmas every day in my heart, do good to others, and make merry. I'll hope the same for you.

MAG created a selection of tops and minis to go together along with multiple styles of stockings/tights. I thought the grey with the rose patterned patches suited me perfectly. I love roses and though it's a little too cold for my roses to begin new Spring growth, that time will soon be here and meanwhile, I can find wonderlands like the one in the photos. Chop Zuey's gifts abound, and will until the end of the month. I'm wearing a combination of the men's items including Chakra Warrior Cuffs, the Crunchy Salamander (does that mean it's crunchy when bitten? ewww), and Razor's Edge Earrings. Also new is October's 4Seasons Keiko in Latte. This skin tone has a middle of the spectrum appeal that's suited for lots of different nationalities depending how you accessorize her. And I'm not sure if the creator at Analog Dog knew how amazing the deal was that she offered on Christmas Day but I could not pass up the opportunity for a few new FREE updos including this one called Chance. The Quiet Hush Of Christmas Morning [FLRN] at Winter Market Event, BaoBa at The Couturier's Docks and New NOYA Gifts

I went late late last night to the party Mr. Marcus announced for those who didn't want to be alone at Christmas. It was far too late to find party goers but I did have the pleasure of marveling at the beautiful layout and decor of the club. I felt like a little girl tiptoeing around the house after the grown-ups had turned out the lights and tucked everyone in bed. It was beautiful.

I've only begun to know Mr. Lefevre... and the more I know of him and the more I know him, the more I realize how he's impacted others' lives. It's truly a treat and a blessing, something you couldn't wrap and tuck under a tree, but a gift nonetheless. Baoba created this adorable hat made of poinsettias and ornamentation called "Rudolf" for The Couturier's Docks.

The new sweat and mini skirt set, which I love love love for the details and quality of content is from [FLRN] and can be purchased at their Winter Event and NOYA sent out a set of gifties to loyal customers (in my opinion she does far too much but I'm grateful for those gifts) and this box included some snowflake type lashes. The party had ended, and the whole place silent as I stood between the gilded golden tree and the silver grand piano, and I still soaked in that spirit of the holidays.
