I put together a very casual array of items this evening. It just felt like one of those nights after all the bright and beautiful and party-fun-terrific brilliance to embrace things that were simple. I loved the idea of a knit cap called Beanie Svenja (with hair already added!) for instance, because wearing one means one does very little to pretty-up the hair under it. Convenient, warm, cozy... and it's part of Immerschoen-Body Cult's pieces sold at the Winter Market. The Skinny Pants Tweed also come from them and are sold at the Winter Market as well. Odelitte created this oversized sweater in an Ombre blue tone for Winter Market. I then added a pair of boot-like shoes from BSD Design studio called Billionaire Baby, a new release and one of the unique designs that Chop Zuey so lovingly shared during the season of gifts that helped close out 2014 called the Mysterium Necklace. And finally, though I have settled on October's 4Seasons Chocolate Cosmos as my 'default' skin tone, when new faces, special releases, gifts and the like come to October's 4Seasons, I'm excited to share, and this is Keiko with the Marigold Skin Tone and Brown Brows.

**Personal note in response to some questions I've received since posting my personal choice in skin tone at October's 4Seasons. I absolutely adore blogging, but it's only one of many ways I want to use the skills I've developed in time related to styling and modeling. Recently, I was invited to participate in a photo advertisement and had one of the pale skin tones on because it was the one I'd happened to style that day, and had not made a conscious choice regarding skin tone prior to that day. We got to see the 'copy' before the add was published, and I realized after the fact that a sea of pale tones dotted the advertisement, but the world I live in contains people of so many different skin tones, such beautiful creams and coffee colors, burnt rich russet and freckled, tanned and tones as dark as night, but in the experiences I'd had in fashion in Second Life, the vast array of tones seemed neutralized to a few basics. At least with the 14+ shades that October has created for October's 4Seasons, I had choices that were different than the median tone, and if I embraced one of those darker tones, it would add depth to the overall photo selections for advertisements, for displays, vendors, and blogs. So I wear Chocolate Cosmos; It's a touch darker than my tanned version of me in summers past, and about three shades darker than my lighter olive skin that stays with me through fall and winter. I really loved the special edition tone she created called Cinnamon but that one hasn't returned yet. If it ends up with a neutral or natural option down the road, I might switch to Cinnamon instead of Chocolate, but for the same reasons. Being a brown tone amidst a myriad of elegant ivories and peaces feels like it's harmonizing, making the overall picture complete for all of our worlds.

A Pose Makes It Perfect -- Featuring Odelitte from Four Seasons Market, [LG]Boutique, Sundaara and .:JUMO:. from .PENUMBRA. Fashion Week and **NEW** Dark Horse Style
What a difference poses make, eh? I find myself truly blessed by the relationship turned friendship turned family that I've found myself in with October, aka Keisha. Because she's done so many photos for different people, models, non-models, couples, friends, she's got a trillion zillion poses on her work station. I go gah-gah for her poses and play; and I could take a hundred photos before I moved on to something new.
In this styling today, I pulled in pieces again, yayayaya grateful for the diversity in designs that allow me the puzzle time part of this process. I took this Petra Jacket from Sundaara Designs and sold at .PENUMBRA. Fashion Week and began to build the look. The skirt comes from a design by [LG]Boutique, sold this month at Designer Showcase - which recently relocated so here's a new link - http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Flawless/179/59/28, called Hang With Me. Mixing it up with bold colors, I pulled on a new pair of boots from Odelitte Suede Boots Red that you can purchase at Four Seasons Market then promptly added a pair of tintable socks from N-Core to add those ever necessary Autumn layers. The socks tinted to a bold purple complimented my final new accessory, the necklace from .:JUMO:. called Fascination in Purple.
And last but never least, I took a friend's suggestion, and went over to a brand new store called Dark Horse Style and snagged a whole array of new nail appliers. I've learned that just like shoes and hair, one can never have too many nails. I wouldn't want you or me to get bored with the same old same old! This design is called Curved Dark. Many different little painted pictures adorn an array of nails, including some fun Halloween related autumn sets. I'm not sure how long her nails will be 50L but that's her opening week special and that means your Lindens s-t-r-e-t-c-h better.

In Love With Love -- Featuring FINESMITH and Christmas Market Items by [CIRCA], AsMoOt, and Odelitte
Relationships on Second Life have a unique shelf life. Some of them work like a firecracker. One moment the various chemical elements realize they've met and found a good match and the very next minute, it's exploding into a wild array of color and sound.
Despite being argued, debated and ultimately come to an point with various friends at various times on this same subject, I conjecture that most of the relationships I've seen friends dip into were very much related to those fireworks, and the moment the sparkles happened, they shared a sense of lustful fun.
The thing is, with lust, it really is vivid, flashy and fun. All the energy in the world may be exchanged. You don't even really have to know the other person.
If you can and do take longer than ten minutes to get from point a to point firecracker exploding in the air, more power to you. However, what do you do after the sparks fly and the explosion occurs? Is there something even stronger than a temporary chemical trip that lends itself well to entertainment?
One of the great ironies to me continues to be in that aftermath. I'm not trying to be gender biased, but I have spoken to far more female friends at this point in relationships than males and males could have similar experiences or completely different ones. Let's assume I have some exposure to some women after some settings that leave them 'post firecracker' trying to define the relationship.
I hear the term 'love' bandied about a lot. I've decided that rather than being in love with Mr. Firecracker-Wow-Rock-My-World, it's far more likely that my friends who continue to seek the next big explosion really never intended to find love. I think it's far more likely that they're in love with the idea of love, but in the meantime, the firecrackers prove to be a perfectly good distraction.
