Super SCARYN - Featuring Sabra Style, Dark Horse Style, AsHmOoT from the Promenade, !Lyrical B!zarre Templates from Four Seasons Market and Dulce Secrets from Designer Showcase

I just want to be a super hero. Of course, every good one has a great costume. A month of costumes, but today, I pulled on a collection of items from different designers and ended up with Super Caryn. Sabra Style's Old London Coat made a perfect 'super hero girl cape' for today. AsHmOoT created an entire outfit for The Promenade, and from the set, I pulled on their Coll boots and leggings. I'm pretty sure tights/leggings are a must for super heroes and boots as well. !Lyrical B!zarre Templates provided the skin hugging mini dress under the coat, with a bra and skirt and shear layer between the two.

I know heroines do not need to enhance their chest area to fight crime more intensely but I also don't know of a single one who doesn't do so anyway! At Designer Showcase this month, Dulce Secrets put together a box of mesh eyes. Not a soul in our universe has pink eyes that I know of, but to have pink eyes as part of the costume; that makes sense. Lastly, I have more nails to show from Dark Horse Style. Be ware, though. These nails have been treated with just the right amount of venom to render any criminal paralyzed long enough that I might capture them and bring them home to justice!

A Smorgasboard -- Featuring KaTink and Featuring Items from Four Seasons Market - Ashmoot, Vilchoor, Dscribe, R&K, Dollhouse & Paperflowers, ~BNV~, LavandaChic, and Serenity Style

A beautiful set of two packets from KaTink Poses called Miskatonia contains backgrounds that are unique and share fall colors. That's my backdrop, and the only elements in the photo that are not from the Four Seasons Market.

I turned my work platform into a veritable smorgasboard of things to show you from Four Seasons Market. As promised, the array of decor items that were shared are being presented here. I'm not the interior design artist that many of you are, so please bare with me as I point out the different elements in the pictures. From left to right: Vilchoor created the Street Lamp and the Sitting Cabinet; Dscribe created the Hanging clock seen hanging off the street lamp; Serenity Style made the Autumn Table, the Autumn Rug and the Autumn Chair that reminded me of a camping chair; R&K designed the side by side Autumn Frames and the Chocolate Chip Hedgehog cocoa mug; Dollhouse & Paper Flowers made the Vintage Lunchpail and Vintage Lunch Basket, and ~BNV~ made the little Vintage Radio that includes several preset radio stations so you can take your music with you. And a wine colored purse from LavandaChic wraps up the displayed items.

I rarely do this, but when I opened Ashmoot's boxes, I saw two full outfits and a third outfit packaged in pieces and priced in smaller increments as a result. Outfit 1, Outfit 2 and Outfit 9 are their official names, but I'll just call them 1, 2 and 3 so I don't confuse my me. One side note, all three outfits include a purse or bag of some sort but since there was a purse sitting out in all three photos, I left them out of the pictures. Outfit one includes a Jacket, Jumpsuit, Leggins, and Boots. Outfit two includes a Cardigan, Skirt, Heels, Sunglasses, and a Belt. And if you buy all the pieces of Outfit 3 you'll get a Lace Shirt, Dark Stockings, Puffy Pants, Jacket, Ankle Boots, and Sunglasses that can be worn on the head or on the face.

Lindy and Dulce Secrets at Designer Showcase, AsHmOoT at Summer Fashion Festival, !Lyrical B!zarre Templates at Lyfe of Style, and NEW from Truth

But even in the midst of family time and that all important binging, I like to make time to poke into our shared world in SL and find a new style in the mix and match of my inventory that showcases elements from around the grid, just like this summer look that seemed to fit the mood of a holiday weekend.

Lyrical B!zarre Templates has a great Sounds Rouge outfit and jewelry as well at Lyfe of Style's sale room, and in these photos I used the jewelry here. I took the glow off and added a little shininess to the objects to make them a little darker to suit the dark reds and blacks in the top and skirt - from AsHmOoT - found at Summer Fashion Festival. The new hair from Truth - Dasha - is one of those styles that I wear all summer long and made me think of home.

Two items are from the Designer Showcase. Remember ** Designer Showcase has moved! The shoes are from Lindy and the eye shadow is new from ::Dulce Secrets::. I hope you're having a mad fun weekend with your special someones and if you're from the US, Happy Fourth!

I'm either ahead of myself or behind, but don't know which. It's been one of those weird weeks where I haven't known what day it was, anytime I should have known and no clue of the passing of time, night or day.

I wanted to show as many of the items from PENUMBRA Fashion Week and also wanted to show you as much as I could from FASHIONART Faire. I have one day left and so do you for both events!

These are a collaboration of designers who are part of the PENUMBRA Fashion Week. Vero Modero has a great set with a Bolero Jacket, a corset and a balloon skirt. I decided to use the jacket for this style. B.I.P created a bikini and the top in all the bright colors seemed to work well. Prism created a top and skirt combination of which you see the skirt.

Other new items include Luas No More Tears Face Chain, one of EMO-tions new Windblown releases that come out this weekend, ((Crystal Line)) Ring and Bracelet, Face Paint, KaTink Poses and Backgrounds, And AsHmOoT has a pair of big bow heels that peek out from under the skirt.

Flitting Fiery Creature -- Featuring Schoen from Japan Fair, !Frozen, J&A Rock Culture, AsHmOoT, -LEO from Easter Market

Sometimes I mean to work more rapidly on projects, so that I can get more out there, to show you more of all the amazing things designers put out for these fairs. They put a lot of work into what they do and I appreciate the hours it takes to get one detail just right.

So my notion of speeding through it gets lost in my wanting to show more in the moment. Maybe one day I'll find a happy medium, but for now, I just work and don't watch the clock. One minute it's 2 p.m. and the next time I look, it's 5 p.m. and I wonder, hmmm.

So instead of two or three photos to show you this cute little creature from somewhere warm and bright, I took more than the ones I'm sharing now, and had fun with her. The dress is an exclusive from the Japan Fair, from Schoen.

The hair comes from EMO-tions but it's definitely a tint that is Caryn created. A little creative license sometimes takes human hair to another level and one imagines festive creatures instead!

The ears and special pose on the photo with all the eggs are from !Frozen - Easter Market. A little bunny necklace comes from J&A Rock Culture. - Easter Market. AsHmOoT created the bow tie shoes for Easter Market. And -LEO- provided all the variety of eggs decor you could add to your sim to make it a more festive place.

And no photo would be complete without the gorgeous skin and makeup from Kyxe Skins & Shapes. New shadow, Electra Luscious, lays over the basic Blossom Skin Tone.

Sittin On the Dock Of the Bay -- Featuring Carrie's Lingerie, EMO-tions, AsHmOoT, and .::Shellac

I attended a farewell party today. Mr. Frolic has sold his whole world of Second Life fashion to Ms. Reign and as they change hands this December, a lot of change presents itself. Each of them will deal with many changes over the next little while and it will generate a lot of emotion.

I get wistful at this time of year, also thinking of changes. I look at what's good from the year I've just lived. I analyze things that went awry. And then I begin planning for the new year. It's a little bit scary, letting go of things in the past. It's so easy to doubt self, and want to grasp again. Human Nature I think.

I worked with this series of photos this past couple of days as I daydreamed. As I kept framing it and trying different things, I thought about dropping something when I sit on the side of a boat or a pool, and those things disappear. Sometimes they drop accidentally and still they're gone forever. Other times it's intentional.

I lived in an apartment for a period of time, during a transition from one state to the other, and it happened to be summer so I utilized the pool for sunbathing and the occasional swim. Once, I lost my wedding ring in the pool. I didn't notice it till much later that night. The next day, I anxiously scoured the pool and with some crazy blessing of fortune, I found it.

As Mr. Frolic lets go and Ms. Reign takes charge, I hope they feel the animated sense of energy I felt when I found that ring. I felt passionately about it. I felt grateful. It was the very best thing that could have happened.

Whenever we make decisions, to let go or to grasp firmly and never let go, those decisions impact our lives intensely. As a new year dawns for all of us, I pray that each of my friends and readers have that certainty. The desire to hold on tightly or let go, with all your heart, knowing it is good and right. I hope that for you.

In Love With Love -- Featuring FINESMITH and Christmas Market Items by [CIRCA], AsMoOt, and Odelitte

Relationships on Second Life have a unique shelf life. Some of them work like a firecracker. One moment the various chemical elements realize they've met and found a good match and the very next minute, it's exploding into a wild array of color and sound.

Despite being argued, debated and ultimately come to an point with various friends at various times on this same subject, I conjecture that most of the relationships I've seen friends dip into were very much related to those fireworks, and the moment the sparkles happened, they shared a sense of lustful fun.

The thing is, with lust, it really is vivid, flashy and fun. All the energy in the world may be exchanged. You don't even really have to know the other person.

If you can and do take longer than ten minutes to get from point a to point firecracker exploding in the air, more power to you. However, what do you do after the sparks fly and the explosion occurs? Is there something even stronger than a temporary chemical trip that lends itself well to entertainment?

One of the great ironies to me continues to be in that aftermath. I'm not trying to be gender biased, but I have spoken to far more female friends at this point in relationships than males and males could have similar experiences or completely different ones. Let's assume I have some exposure to some women after some settings that leave them 'post firecracker' trying to define the relationship.

I hear the term 'love' bandied about a lot. I've decided that rather than being in love with Mr. Firecracker-Wow-Rock-My-World, it's far more likely that my friends who continue to seek the next big explosion really never intended to find love. I think it's far more likely that they're in love with the idea of love, but in the meantime, the firecrackers prove to be a perfectly good distraction.
