I Enjoy Mixing and Matching Pieces From Great Designers - Luziefee, Zanze, Shake-Up!, [LWL], Ingenue, LISP and Dot-Be Fashion

I waited this time till I had several different looks to share with you and blog. The combinations ended up unique and brilliant in color and style.

3. Gaeline Mesh Lashes: Starlia
4. Face Paint: Moonlight
5. Sexy Mama Valentine Manicure

I found the variety options with Luzifee's Qubilah runs the gamut of colors and themes. Two styles are not shown here, but I encourage you to pop in and see the options and choose one that suits you well.

Featuring Zanze Piper Dress
Featuring Shake-Up! Fabric Flower Ring

2. Poetic Colors: Autumn Moon
3. Gaeline Mesh Lashes: Mysteria

5. Candy Nail: Tea Time
6. Rockberry Skin: Apple 5
7. Darlinged: XyrHeart Earrings
8. Manifeste Poses

Anchors away in this little tube dress created by Zanze with a shape that beckoned some other pieces. I imagine there are some who are far more brave than I who could wear the dress and expose their chest, and loved ones who would not argue that decision at all. I paired some pretty lime heels, the unique accessories of the collar and cuffs with a shirt I designed. The ring from Shake-Up! completed my compilation. I've never wore Ingenue, [LWL] or Shake-Up! before so it was fun finding new designs and new companies.

Featuring LISP Tea Pose (wear Tea Cup and pose)
Featuring Dot-B-Fashion Animalistic Hunt Top (Blue Tiger)
Featuring Luzifee Paka Skirt
1. EMO-tions: Cheyenne
2. Poetic Colors: autum Moon
3. Miamai Catwalk Lashes Pink
4. Face Paint Spring Gems 1 Under the Sea
5. Face Paint: Color Stroke
6. Baubles! by Phe: Square Diamond Bangle
7. Darling: Earrings
8. DADAbeiz: Black Half Ankle Boots

I took the skirt from another of Luzifee's new releases and a top from Dot-Be-Fashoin (a hunt item so you want to go and look for this great mesh top with the beautiful blue tiger on the front). The cup in my hand actually came with two cups that once worn posed me casually sipping something delicious. I'll include the photos from Luzifee so you can see the whole outfit Paka, the skirt with the rest.

Take a walk in my shoes, from the sea to shining sea. The various locations I chose for these photos were scattered around Second Life and each setting had its own aura and energy, each enticing for different reasons.

The Way You Do The Things You Do

Do you know those people who seem to be able to do everything and when they do, it looks effortless?

I look to those people for inspiration. I respect them. I notice the ways they use their talents and creatively construct an exciting world all around them.

When I met Zzoiee, she had qualities I could heartily admire and learn from as well. Since I've met her, the world she exists in has grown exponentially and each step she's taken to make this so much fun to watch.

As I take photos, I feel them viscerally. It wasn't that way at first for me, but the more I do this, the more I feel it way down deep inside of me. It comes from the clothes, the designer, the experience and the art of it.

Much of my life could be expressed in song, so when things move me emotionally, I begin to hear music in my head. This series of photos come from Zanze's Avenue Zenshi Fashion Week Black and White Collection. Zzoiee, I don't even know how you do the way you things you do, but you do it brilliantly.

And All I Gotta Do Is Open My Eyes and See Her - The Mystery Woman

I liked this song from the Allman Brothers, Mystery woman... and the line here "and all I gotta do is open my eyes and see her - mystery woman..."

Sometimes the things we need to see are right in front of us. It should be obvious but we're blind. In the US, we have a saying that's relevant here, "You can't see the forest for the trees." Maybe sometimes we get too close to something and miss it all together. I do.

At Model's Workshop this afternoon, Monica Balut offered part one of a two part class on Second Life Photography. I have been using the Second Life program since March of 2005 and I've looked at loads of tutorials and worksheets and videos, and I still missed this tiny little arrow on the basic snapshot window. When I saw that in the class, I realized that if I had missed that detail, there would probably be many other things I could learn from that class and anything else I attend because things are changing all the time and even when things stay the same, sometimes I miss the forest for the trees. A mystery to this woman... a good thing too. I love learning. Thank you Monica for the incredible amount of information you poured into your class tonight!

Pimp My Valentine Hunt and a Beautiful Cocktail Dress from Snowpaws

It's a rare thing for me to pause and do something in Second Life that does not relate to the fashion world. I love the world I've chosen to follow this past 16 months, from my shear enjoyment of the job I had at Carrie's Lingerie to the work I've done with Face Paint, Liv-Glam and Snowpaws blogs, to the many supportive designers who've given me the privilege to work with their designs.

One thing I did do recently thrilled my heart and kept me smiling for days after the actual event. I officiated an in world wedding with two really sweet friends. I had mentioned to them seriously, though I think at the time they thought me teasing, that when I had the opportunity to photograph a couples prop for blogging, I'd ask for their help.

Saturday I set an appointment with them, and they were happily surprised, and yesterday, I had fun with props and watching that infectious warmth of a new and good relationship as I worked with them. We first did a prop pose set from Possession. They wore fancy clothes and laughed and teased as we worked. (first photograph)

This tree from Rosengarten, also created for a couple in love (shown in photo 2 and 3), offers more. When they 'sat' in the appropriate pose of the tree, they were animated, and kept kissing... and kissing... and kissing. Two little lovebirds, kissing in a tree, k-i-s-s-i-n-g. First comes the love. Second comes the marriage. Where's the baby in the baby carriage?

Thank you to Loki and his wife Vallanique. You two made this a special memory and demonstrated the use of both Possession's and Rosengarten's hidden hunt treat.

I found a field of flourescent flowers right next to the land I own (that has the Face Paint OUTLET waaay up high in the air above this). I'd never walked over and when I did, I was in that surreal oooh ahhh mode. Snowpaws Marguerite has that delicate flower petal female essence with a peplum around the waist that reminds me of a flower in bloom.

SD Wears at EOTW

In the title of this outfit, "Hot Topic: Black Pattern Outfit" was a chord of resonance that brought a smile to my face. This black outfit from SD Wears tweaked a personal note in the best of ways.

In the city where I raised my two teen sons, the hottest place to shop if you were permitted was a place called Hot Topic. They carried edgy designs, rebellious written on tee-shirts that appealed to that age, wild gauges for the growing hole in the average teen's earlobe and so much more. I went often with my guys, and though there were many things I did not allow, a few treasures were found there and they were always 'thankyouthankyouthankyouiloveitiloveitiloveit'...

This outfit from SD Wears has the same aesthetic, a bit of dark resolve, a touch of rebellion and a fierceness that would suit Tyra on America's Next Top Model. A mixture of printed solids and shear textures combined with some sculpted shoulder pieces added to the aggressive beauty of the overall look.
