Looking For Drama -- Featuring /Wasabi Pills/, [dirty little secret], Entice from Designer Showcase and Ro' e Buni' from The Instruments

I nearly squealed out loud to the empty house today when I saw that season 10 of Grey's Anatomy was up on Netflix. There are only a few shows I've binge watched via that connection and I love it when I do. I can be so impatient waiting 25-28 weeks for each episode to air in it's normal time slot, break for holidays, take time off for the March Madness, or whatever. With this Netflix thing, I can gobble up good stuff at my pace, and I love Grey's. I was an avid fan of E.R. but only a few of the first years, and lost interest after a while. I watched House and again, lost interest in it as well. I have returned to watching it intermittently, again thanks to Netflix, but it doesn't have that same emotional tug to me, like Grey's.
After 1 1/2 episodes, however, I had to come back here, and read news, look at emails, check notices, and look for friends to connect with because this emulation of life that comes virtually into my world makes more sense than every emotional tug I ever felt watching a television simulation of life, by like a million jillion. Sometimes people talk about drama, a bad thing, something to avoid, and yet drama, that day to day stuff that makes us laugh or cry or feel some other emotion drives our world. Drama on television inspires us. Drama in our day to day life either feeds us or is a byproduct of human connection. Sometimes things irritate me, like idiots, sometimes things disappoint me, like liars, and sometimes things make me cry, like deception, but the only way to avoid those irritations would be to avoid people. I like the positive energy from connections that make me laugh, make me proud, make me feel something good, and I wouldn't trade any of that away for some mundane quiet world.
I love experiencing the wild romps of a television drama, and well written drama just makes me smile more. But here, in this shared universe, you're so much more interesting, dramatic, fun, crazy, and yes, those negative things too. It's why I do what I do. I have this little process, coming in to work on photos, styling, and other things, but every single time I come in, I'm also checking in with friends, offering hugs, making someone growl with frustration (yes, I'm sure I irritate others at times!). I put together this outfit, from head to toe chock full of new items, from /Wasabi Pills/ latest release Dominique, to Entice's items at Designer Showcase that include the awesome Clueless leggings and Don't Heels, to Roe' e Buni items from The Instruments. I even tapped into a resource I rarely use and found a [dirty little secret] bra in my box of fun. I embrace the work, but it's all just a really good opportunity to touch worlds, designers, other models, old friends, and so many others. I'm going to finish this episode of Grey's now and will see you all again really soon. I couldn't exist without you.

Rockoil: Confine

The designer Lethe Scar always pushes me to the edge of my comfort zone with dramatic style.

This outfit has been designed to look like there are a number of leather and latex belts wrapped around the body from head to toe with skull images on various belts. You do not end up revealing anything directly when 'bound' in this outfit, but it does flirt with the whole realm of naughty bedroom behavior.

Rockoil: Two New 'Dark' Releases and So Sexy

It's a fun time of year to play with bits and pieces I've collected over 8 years in Second Life. Some things, like psychedelic eyes made of 9 colors that look like glass, are impractical 99.7% of the time, but this month, they made a perfect pair of eyes for one of Rockoil's two designs I want to share.

This gown made the most wonderful dark and sexy combination for a not quite costume. I paired it with some fun accessories I have collected over time and really enjoyed Cult by Rockoil.

Again, I had finding pieces of paraphernalia in inventory to make this look work. The top and bottom are both system pieces but look three dimensional because of the clever use of light and shadow. The shoes came with this outfit. I added the mask and collar to complete my idea of another great Halloween costume.

Rockoil: A New Designer for Me - Several Fun Looks

After exploring Rockoil today, I found a designer I didn't know, a designer with a flair for the edgy and dramatic, and someone I knew would be fun to work with in our shared Second Life. I have several great items from Rockoil to share tonight and will be showcasing new items from there as they're released.

This first outfit is called "Killer" and comes with a layered effect trio of tops. Each are set on a different layer and could be worn as separates or all together as I have shown. the pants are cut really low at the waist and shows a whole lot of skin at the hips.

This pair of jeans has a hint of almost 'normal' till you give a little half turn. All eyes will be on you when people realize that the back half of the jeans is made from a black lace and not more black denim. You'll also notice that the waist is dropped in this pair of pants as well.

Two mini dresses are similar yet each unique in their own way.  They are called "Leash" dresses though I didn't see a physical leash in the set. Both are sleek and very short, and brilliant in color. A small set of pasties covers the breasts to make it nearly decent and wearable in any location in Second Life, but still very daring!

A pants suit called "Live Forever" has a hard rock style to it. There are several tops offered, from the less risky to the most risque. The pants again have a very low waist and were it not for the magic of antigravitons in Second Life, I don't know how they'd stay on my hips, but oh how sexy they are.

And lastly, I paired a series of tops called "Sack" with a pair of holey jeans. There are four different texture/color options. The mesh wraps around the breasts, covering them decently yet allowing for decadence in the shape and style of the cover. I think this selection of outfits from Rockoil gives me a great understanding of the edgy fun that echoes through the store, and makes me wonder what's next. Oh la la!
