Charltina's Mardi Gras in Winter Fantasy Gown Fall Sneak Peek

In this beautiful gown, I truly felt the old saying, "Proud as a peacock." Pride rests in the knowledge that the creator of this gown pours her heart and soul into every creation and does so because of her love for life and helping others. She uses her gifts in a way that ripples far beyond the touch of this world we call Second Life. To be associated with her and her family then becomes a thing of true and loyal pride.

When I first put on the gown, I was overwhelmed by the beauty and grace of the design, and how it so perfectly emulated the natural loveliness of the peacock. Both behind the shoulders and all around the waistline dropping in soft folds down to the floor, this gown spreads its plumes in stunning array. Matching gloves add elegance, and as my gramma used to say, gloves above the elbow were only used for after dinner parties, so when you wear this luxurious creation, be sure to tug on your gloves after dinner, kick up your heels and dance the night away.

I didn't know that the peacock is the national bird of India and that it lives wild and free there. The male peacock has the glorious coloring in order to attract the female of his species. It is thought that in the deepest most opulent rainforests where the peacock originally lived, the brilliant feathers acted to protect the bird as the feathers provide perfect camoflage.
