The Coolest Movie Ever -- Featuring Kungler's, Luziefee, [[Masoom]] and [Mirror's Enigma]

I imagine we all have our own unique taste in things. Some like chocolate. I don't care for it so much. I also don't care for cake. Traditionally, you get birthday cakes but I always got a birthday pie. I also have unique taste when it comes to movies. I invest passionately in science fiction above all other things. And I rarely choose what some people would call 'chick flicks.'

I've never worried about marching to my own beat. Maybe my childhood prepped me for that, or maybe everyone's childhood does. I really never enjoyed group think, and if a group thought anything, I'd often stubbornly take another path instead of joining them. I know there are fallacies in taking it that far but I still recognize that in my personality. Take me or leave me. I hope you take me!

I love Riddick. Period. It's the best movie ever written. I love the dry blunt humor. I love the character. I love how they warn you at the beginning that we're used to the concept of fighting evil with good but in some cases,  like this one, you end up fighting evil with another sort of evil. The dialogue and I are friends. I notoriously quote the story as it progresses.

I got to thinking about my taste in favorite movie and realized it would be intriguing to know what favorite things people do in Second Life. My favorite places in Second Life rotate around my current interests and in the past 8 years since I first joined in March 2005 as a Caryn Gorky, my interests have been quite diverse. I probably don't know 1/10th of what people do in Second Life, but I'd like to know.

I love the Chronicles of Riddick. Yes, I've heard there is a sequel. No. I haven't seen it yet. I imagine there are in essence sequels to things I tried years ago in SL, and things I should revisit. I like to evaluate self and plan for the next year as a year comes close to its end. Many of the goals I set for 2013 have been wonderful, almost as wonderful as Riddick at times! I know 2014 will be great too and I'll find my path, just as I always do. I hope the path includes walking a little time with you.

In the Land Of Makebelieve Featuring Finesmith - Cordelia

Just about anything may be done by just about anyone in Second Life. Phillip Linden, the creator and original CEO created his world, he knew he wanted it to be a world that blended the fantasy of a video game and the reality of chat sites and social media. He also wanted to create a world where a viable economy would be developed and avatars could work in virtual space making and selling virtual items to earn REAL money.

The only limit I have in my Second Life comes in my own depth and breadth of imagination. I put on this feathered head piece, a most unusual mask of sorts, and my first thought was 'snowflake'. I could share a wintery scene and be one of the snowflakes. I don't like to rush my holidays, however, so when I found this setting, I knew I would be the fairy princess in a land where fairies existed and the trees talked.

The Lazy Sunbather

Those of you who know me know how preposterous it is for me to call myself a lazy sunbather, but I looked up lyrics and found this sad little song about lazy sunbathers and it stuck in my head.

The diversity at *Diamond Style* continues to make me smile. I've been working with them for about a month now and have seen everything from lingerie to fancy gowns to this sexy mesh swimsuit. And I've only begun to know this designer. I know there's more to come. Meanwhile, I did pause for a rare few minutes at a beach on a towel to take this photo. Lazy? For a half second anyway.

Just to See You Smile

I'd do anything, that you wanted me to... lyrics from one of my favorite country music artists Tim McGraw... defines the core of my personality. It takes a long time for me to really get comfortable around people, but once I am, I'd do anything just to see them smile.

Whether I'm styling an outfit or putting notes together for Face Paint, in the back of my head, I'm constantly thinking, what can I do here that will best reach the most people with a positive message and how well do I represent the designer?

Do I always succeed? No. I like to think I get better with time, and the development touches every facet, but some days will always be better than others and some things just never will fit. I have a few friends who shake their head and say, "Um... no Caryn" and I smile and agree, and go back to the drawing board... just to see you smile.

This cross section of designers and styles shown on one blog shows some of the diversity of the people and places with whom I work and each represents different artistic points of view. Tres Beau jewelry, EMO-tions hair, Demise of Flight pants and top, Mirror's Enigma set and the gorgeous club wear or lingerie from *Diamond  Style* definitely paint different brush strokes and being blessed to work with all of them gives me a chance to try different things, show different sides of my  own creative ways, and in all ways, portray this art we call Second Life. I probably don't say thank you often enough, to everyone who's made an impact in my Second Life and helped me get to where I am, and all those steadfast friends who hold on, not quite sure at times where I am going, but still there, still encouraging me. ~THANK YOU!!

Every Time That You Walk In the Room

Can you tell by now that I'm a hopeful romantic? Often people use the phrase 'hopeless romantic' but I think if one contends the idea to be hopeless, they're not truly a romantic at all. I believe anything and everything can and does happen in good time to people who pour their hearts into the things they love best.

This week I was honored to be added to the group of bloggers who work with the creative genius behind *Diamond Style*. This store has a plethora of great designs that include formal, dressy, chic, and urban. There are hairstyles and skins and shoes as well. I have so much fun just window shopping, so to speak.

The first dress I chose to share, I chose for a special reason. The basic mesh dress is one I've had the chance to wear previously, but I've never seen a designer add such delicate and intricate pieces to it to personalize it so well.

The longer I blog, the more natural and fun it is to me. It gives me the chance to work with people as diverse as our world is, and as creative and unique as each fingerprint and every snowflake. I get to know the designers, work with their art, and write.

I know it's hard to believe, but I'm the type of person who writes epistles instead of emails, and get teased often for it. In this medium, I can express personal thoughts or professional, talk about the clothes or the weather or the most intimate of details. It's a platform that works for me on every level and when I meet someone new or join a new group and have the privilege of representing them, it's a joyous thing to me.

Whether I'm in the mood to philosophize or just to ramble, this platform works perfectly for me. My world off line finds itself limited by health issues, but in this world where I can fly, and dance and play; in this world where everything I choose is deliberate and fun, I soar. I hope at times you soar with me. I like looking for life's positives and sharing them, wherever they can be found.
